Chapter 479: CLEAN UP
Chapter 479: CLEAN UP
"I love your arrogance," X replied, his metallic fingers tapping rhythmically against the armrest of his throne.
The sound echoed like distant hammer strikes on cold steel. "But I don’t like it when it’s directed at me."
In an instant, a crushing shockwave of pure gravity erupted outward.
The invisible force tore through the fabric of space itself, warping light and distorting nearby stars into elongated streaks.
The shockwave slammed into Aaron with devastating power, yet it had no effect.
Aaron simply isolated the space around his body, creating an impenetrable bubble where the laws of gravity no longer applied.
"Guess not," Aaron said calmly, a faint smirk tugging at his lips.
"Then, if you will allow me to finish up all loose ends within my universe and get back to you... Time is of the essence to me, after all."
He dissolved his throne of shadows with a casual flick of his wrist.
The dark construct melted away into wisps of midnight vapor that drifted into nothingness.
Rising to his feet, Aaron decided it was time to go all out and show a glimpse of his true madness.
His eyes gleamed with focused intensity as he began the intricate process of merging the very spaces of the already fractured universe.
"What do you think you are doing?" X demanded, a deep frown etching across his mechanical face.
The glowing circuits along his armor flickered with growing irritation.
Aaron ignored him completely.
He continued weaving the spaces together, releasing generous waves of spatial essence that shimmered like liquid starlight around his form.
He fused that essence with threads of shadow and time, accelerating the entire process to breathtaking speed.
In the past, before his spatial talent had fully recovered, such an attempt would have been impossible.
Now, he could expend vast amounts of mana freely, knowing it would flood back into him in mere moments.
"What do you think you are doing?" Lucifer asked, his own frown deepening as he watched the universe begin to fold and collapse in on itself like crumpled parchment.
"You guys were hell-bent on watching the universe fall apart," Aaron replied without looking up, his voice steady and unconcerned. "So why should I care about your opinions now?"
Lucifer reacted instantly.
His sword grew darker and more sinister, pulsing with malevolent energy that seemed to drink in the surrounding light.
The pristine white feathers of his wings peeled away one by one, replaced by darker, jagged ones that dripped with shadowy corruption.
His skin deepened to an abyssal tone, and his eyes turned fully obsidian-black, swallowing every trace of light within them.
"I will take you down," Lucifer vowed, his voice a guttural growl that reverberated through the cosmos.
"Even if it means sacrificing everything."
"Black Star," he activated his ultimate ability.
Above his head, a pea-sized sphere of pure darkness materialized, humming with terrifying potential. Slowly, deliberately, the sphere expanded.
It swallowed every photon of light around it, growing larger and more voracious with each passing second.
What began as a tiny speck soon rivaled the size of a sun, then surpassed it.
Lucifer stood atop the colossal black star, his form silhouetted against its devouring darkness as it swelled even further.
Aaron, however, paid no heed to the spectacle.
He remained utterly focused on his own work, his movements calm and precise, as if the apocalyptic threat did not exist.
The black star finally reached its terrifying limit, larger than five suns combined, a void that threatened to consume everything in its path.
"This is the end," Lucifer announced, his voice strained.
His strength had already begun to diminish, his body trembling from the immense cost of the technique.
Using the last of his focus, he commanded the black sun forward.
It hurtled toward Aaron like a living apocalypse, roaring with the sound of collapsing realities.
Aaron paused for the briefest moment, watching the monstrous sphere approach.
Yet there was no panic on his face, only quiet confidence.
With a simple snap of his fingers, he banished the black star into oblivion.
The entire construct vanished without a trace, erased as if it had never existed. Aaron resumed his merging without missing a beat.
"You. I’ll start with you," Aaron informed Lucifer coolly.
He bridged the space coordinates in an instant, collapsing the distance between them until it ceased to exist entirely.
Lucifer stared at Aaron in utter confusion, unable to comprehend how the gap had vanished so completely.
One moment his enemy was far away; the next, they stood face to face.
Aaron gave him no time to process or react.
He simply drove a spear of condensed black sphere straight through Lucifer’s heart.
The blade of pure void pierced cleanly, claiming the fallen angel’s life in a single, merciless strike.
Lucifer’s eyes widened in final shock before the light within them faded forever.
Zeus seized the distraction caused by Lucifer’s death.
He moved with blinding godly speed, hands outstretched, aiming a devastating strike at Aaron’s exposed back.
But Aaron controlled space effortlessly. He stretched the distance between himself and Zeus into infinity.
No matter how fast the god of thunder surged forward, the gap remained endless.
Zeus poured every ounce of his power into closing the void, yet he found himself drawing microscopically closer while still impossibly far.
The frustration burned in his ancient eyes.
"Old man," Aaron called out calmly, pointing at the trapped Zeus.
"You have the honor of dealing with this one."
Dracula wasted no time.
Using the opening Aaron had provided, he appeared before the space-trapped god.
A razor-sharp thread spun from his own blood coiled through the air, whipping toward Zeus with lethal intent.
Aaron made the infinite space one-way only.
Attacks aimed at Zeus passed through normally, while Zeus’s own movements remained endlessly delayed.
Zeus dodged the blood thread at the last second, only to find his body moving with painful sluggishness.
It didn’t take a genius to realize Aaron was still manipulating time around him.
"I hope you don’t die properly," Zeus cursed bitterly.
A moment later, his head was severed cleanly.
The king of the gods fell in silence, his final words echoing faintly into the folding universe.
