Chapter 567: NINE ENTITIES
Chapter 567: NINE ENTITIES
"I simply crossed into that universe. Or whatever you’d call it."
As he spoke, he stepped even closer, closing the distance until he stood barely half a metre away from the drakes.
Then, without hesitation, water surged into existence.
In a world dominated by flames, it formed unnaturally, defying the very laws of the environment.
The liquid gathered, shaped, and solidified into a throne beneath him.
Aqua sat Calm, composed and regal.
"Hmm," the lady hummed softly, tilting her head.
"How long do you think it would take a Primordial to destroy each universe until she finds yours?"
A faint, wry smile lingered on her lips as she spoke.
"A whole lot of destruction," Aqua replied casually.
"And even then, I’m not sure I’m in the same multiverse as where I originally came from."
His gaze remained steady, his tone almost conversational.
"The laws here, and in the other place I visited, are completely different from my origin. This world..." he gestured slightly around him, "...a realm entirely made of flames."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"The other was filled with beings of absurd size. Massive beyond reason.
Yet, there was no supernatural force, no essence, nothing to harness."
His voice remained calm throughout, as though he were merely recounting observations, not standing before a being who could potentially destroy entire universes.
"Did you just say the fundamental laws are different?" she asked and in the next instant, she was already in front of him.
The distance between them vanished completely.
"Yes," Aqua replied, leaning back ever so slightly, a hint of discomfort flickering across his expression.
"I pretty much said that."
She was far too close.
Her eyes locked onto his like a starving predator that had just found something precious, something rare.
The intensity of her gaze was unsettling.
"You... you’re a mystic, aren’t you?" she pressed, her voice rising with excitement.
"Mystic of what exactly? Blood? No... that can’t be it. Arms? Eyes? Tell me."
Aqua blinked, genuinely surprised.
Not just at her deduction, but at how much she seemed to know.
And more than that... the sheer excitement bubbling within her.
"Are you closer to the throne?" she continued rapidly.
"Or is someone else closer? Finally... does this mean all entities won’t be destroyed?"
Her words came faster, her tone filled with a thrill she could barely contain.
Aqua simply stared at her confused and with caution
She froze mid-thought when she noticed his expression.
Realization dawned on her face.
"Oh... I’m sorry," she said quickly, taking a step back, forcing herself to calm down.
"I didn’t mean to get that excited. It’s just... seeing a mystic is an honour."
Aqua’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"Mystics... just how much do you know about them?" he asked, his tone turning serious.
"Well," she began, her voice steadier now, though a faint trace of excitement still lingered, "mystics are candidates for the Throne for All. They are... potential saviours of the nine entities."
"Nine entities?" Aqua repeated, focusing immediately on that part.
"Aren’t you a mystic?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. "Why does it feel like you know so little?"
She paused, studying him.
"...Did you recently become one? That would explain it."
Then, without waiting for a reply,
"So what kind of mystic are you? Arms? Skin? Legs?"
Aqua exhaled slowly.
Her questions came in waves, overwhelming and relentless.
For a moment, he felt a strange sense of déjà vu.
She was worse than Adrian.
That realization alone was enough to irritate him.
"Yes," Aqua said at last. "I recently became one."
A brief pause.
"I’m a mystic of the eyes."
Her expression lit up instantly.
"Ohhh! The eyes! That makes perfect sense!"
Aqua’s patience snapped slightly.
"Can you stop being overly excited and just tell me what I need to know?" he said, his irritation no longer hidden.
She blinked, then quickly composed herself.
"Oh. I’m sorry."
This time, she truly calmed down.
Aqua watched her carefully before speaking again.
"So," he continued, his voice firm, "what do you know about mystics? And what do you mean by ’saviours’?"
She nodded, taking a breath before answering properly.
"Well... from the very beginning," she began, "nine entities were born following the emergence of the One Above All."
Her tone grew more measured, more deliberate.
"The Pyrkosmos, Hydrokosmos, Geokosmos, Anemokosmos, Amphikosmos, Kenokosmos, Elattokosmos, Archekosmos, and Pankosmos."
She spoke each name clearly.
"Nine entities. Connected... yet separate."
Her gaze returned to him.
"From what you’ve said, I believe you’re from another entity entirely. I can’t tell which one exactly... but you’re currently in the Pyrkosmos."
A brief pause.
"And the other place you mentioned—that was the Archekosmos."
Aqua listened intently, his mind already piecing things together.
"Crossing between entities should be impossible," she continued. "Only mystics should be capable of something like that."
Aqua frowned slightly.
"But there’s a rift connecting both sides," he pointed out. "Your people are already crossing between them."
"Exactly," she said immediately.
Her expression darkened just a little.
"That’s the problem."
She stepped closer again, though far less aggressively than before.
"It means the entities are breaking down. The boundaries between them are weakening... merging."
Her voice lowered.
"That’s proof we’re running out of time."
Aqua’s gaze sharpened.
"We need a new One Above All," she continued. "As soon as possible. Otherwise... all nine entities will collapse into destruction."
She met his eyes directly.
"And that’s why mystics are considered saviours."
"Save... how?" Aqua asked, his confusion only deepening the more he heard.
She nodded, as if expecting that question.
"Every being has a limit," she explained. "A cap to their potential. A ceiling they cannot surpass."
"Some can only reach the Primordial rank. Others, the Nexus rank."
She paused briefly.
"But the highest any being can naturally reach... is the Nameless rank."
Aqua remained silent, absorbing every word.
"But even that isn’t enough," she continued. "The Throne for All cannot be claimed by just anyone."
Her expression grew serious.
"Any Nameless who attempts to sit on it... dies instantly."
A brief silence settled between them.
"Even mystics," she added. "They’re all capped at Nameless as well."
Aqua’s eyes narrowed slightly.
He could already sense where this was going.
She hesitated for a fraction of a second.
"Only by devouring another mystic can one ascend beyond that limit," Aqua finished for her, his voice low.
A faint understanding settled in his gaze.
"And reach the Throne for All."r
