Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1055: Harpoon

Chapter 1055: Harpoon

Although Xu Feng didn’t quite get the lore, he knew about one thing.

Each of the Phantasm Sea Legacy dungeons should contain a shard of the Sea Heart.

This particular shard was the shattered of a complete Sea Heart that was originally sealed to prevent the rebels from succeeding.

As much as Xu Feng wanted to piece together the clues and get a proper understanding, he realized the information was far too lacking.

He scratched his head and realized there was a deeper lore and constructed history that awaited him to discover.

’Seems like the player back then really made a foolish mistake.’ Xu Feng thought to himself. Granted that there was so much lore contained behind the Phantom’s Wake mission. The fact that the discovered player didn’t improve further than a certain limit showed that they never dabbled into the lore.

They might have dominated the naval territory, but they sure didn’t receive the maximum benefit.

And now that the opportunity arose for him to take the mantle and uncover such deep lore, Xu Feng couldn’t help but become excited.

It was an excitement that stemmed from being a pioneer, a legitimate pioneer who didn’t rely on any reference or past knowledge.

His hands clenched tightly, his eyes staring at the mural with a deep and profound gaze.

"Even I can’t be sure of the changes that would be made if this mission is completed." Despite being in the dark of the unforeseeable future, he was truly agitated. No real gamer would keep their calm and composure upon being notified of such an event.

Xu Feng was truly someone who adored and loved the Divine World to the max. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have continued to dabble in the Divine World and sought every possible opportunity.

"Sea Traveler, please do your best to help fulfill Master Bea’s wishes." Burpe suddenly voiced sweetly. "Master Bea wishes that the Phantasm Sea can return to its original glory, and only the prophecy Sea Traveler could accomplish the task."

"The prophecy Sea Traveler?" Xu Feng knitted his brows, unsure of how he suddenly became the prophecy Sea Traveler. He shouldn’t have been the Sea Traveler when he had given the tasks to Zhao Kai to gather the merits on his behalf.

If anything, the Sea Traveler should have been him.

Or it should have been the previous player in the past timeline. After all, the credit still goes to them as a result of his current presence here.

Let’s say the past timeline was wiped out and only the current timeline mattered.

Then shouldn’t the Divine World System understand that the person who gathered the merits was Zhao Kai and not him?

"I don’t think I am that Sea Traveler mentioned by your prophecy." Xu Feng softly denied the allegation.

Burpe shook their head in response. "Sea Traveler, you were able to resonate with the Phantasm Map and see me and Master Bea. That alone proved your specialty."

"Is that so?" Despite still uncertain and doubtful of the address, he no longer planned to waste his time dabbling in it. There was no need to clarify too deeply if the opposing party refused to accept his denial.

It was best to leave things as it was to avoid souring their current relationship.

Sometime later, Xu Feng asked Burpe to guide them to the core section of the dungeon.

"Your Master said she left something for me at the stretch." He wanted to retrieve the Siren’s Compass blueprint and figure out what other components he was missing. So long as he got a sense of direction and knew where to search, he wouldn’t be looking so lost.

Burpe nodded and hopped off his arm. It then indicated a certain direction and said, "The path is up ahead, but there are many traps still active."

"Oh, can you disable the traps?"

"Yes, I can, but it will take some time."

"No worries, we’re in no rush. You can take your time to relax and disable them slowly." Xu Feng was already grateful enough that he no longer needed to spend his time detecting the traps and then disable them personally.

Having said that, Xu Feng promptly returned to the control room and began to maneuver the warship toward the direction pointed out by Burpe.

After sailing for a few minutes, Burpe suddenly signaled to stop. Almost immediately, Xu Feng turned the warship’s knot down and came to a halt.

Once the warship halted, Burpe didn’t wait for Xu Feng and phased out of the warship and dove straight to the seawater.

’The traps are set in the undercurrent...’ Speechless, Xu Feng seriously wondered if this dungeon was even possible if Burpe’s presence wasn’t here. His warship couldn’t even detect anything abnormal in the undercurrent.

It was probably concealed by the sea’s unique properties, and unless he personally dove down and inspected the area, then the trap would have damaged the warship heavily.

Waiting for a while, Burpe appeared from beneath the floor, its hands holding numerous chains mixed with harpoon. The harpoon was engraved in some runes and contained a powerful presence.

Upon further inspection, Xu Feng realized the harpoon was a level 60 siege weapon designed for sea operations. The dismantling of the weapons was also neatly done, having kept it in a prime condition.

A bit excited, Xu Feng opened his inventory and removed some of the less valuable items to create space.

Once that was done, he rubbed his hands nervously and attempted to put the harpoon into his inventory.

’Please let it be stored. Let me have this weapon.’ Despite not having much hope, he still wished to test his luck. It doesn’t hurt to try anyway in hopes of obtaining a good harpoon weapon.

As he closed his eyes, Xu Feng extended his hand to place the harpoon weapon. If it failed, then his hand would just pass through the inventory space, but if it succeeded, then he could feel some obstruction.

And what he felt was an obstruction!

Instantly, his eyes opened and his expression beamed in delight. The harpoon weapon was successfully stored in his inventory with a number next to it, indicating the amount being stored.

"Oh, Burpe, you really are the greatest!" Xu Feng erupted into cheer and warmly hugged Burpe.
