Upon learning that his alias, Cool Wind, and Lin Feng were both being targeted, albeit one in the Divine World and one in the real world, Xu Feng couldn’t help but frown slightly.

It was one thing to target his alias in the Divine World, and another thing to target him in the real world.

"Is it just the Guild Leader, or are other members affected as well?" Xu Feng asked solemnly.

Thankfully, Ning Yi shook his head in response.

"No, it’s just the Guild Leader. Apparently, many were displeased and infuriated by our guild’s recent action. They couldn’t do anything to our guild in the Divine World, so they sought to settle the matters in the real world." He clarified the situation.

And he continued, "I believe they might be trying to target you directly because of your deep ties with the Guild Leader on the surface."

What Ning Yi meant was that his information might have been leaked.

Though he couldn’t confirm or verify the news. Still, he called ahead to give him a warning in advance, lest it might be too late by the time they tried to make up some defense preparation.

"So, do you have any clues as to who is behind the motion?" Xu Feng refused to believe that the company that was in the front to demand such a request was the actual mastermind.

Someone definitely had to be making a move from behind the scenes, and they had to be powerful enough to attack Ning Yi’s family company. His father, Ning Huo, was not some easy prey where you could just trample on.

"That I do," Ning Yi nodded and gave his input. "I’m not sure if this is related, but I heard some news that the Miracle Pavilion has been shifting its funds in large amounts."

"Miracle Pavilion..." Xu Feng already anticipated the former would make a move soon after the establishment of his own chamber of commerce. He just didn’t expect them to move this quickly and even resorted to sieging them on all sides.

He began to wonder if the sudden appearance of the Necro Alliance was also orchestrated by the Miracle Pavilion. They definitely were capable enough to sponsor a bunch of bounty tag players and offer them sweet incentives to provoke them to make a move against them.

"Alright, I understand the gist." Xu Feng nodded and gazed at Ning Yi. "Keep investigating the matter, but stay low. Simply message me directly in the Divine World if you discover anything and refrain from texting me through the phone."

After saying that, Xu Feng ended the video call without waiting for Ning Yi’s response.

If it was truly the Miracle Pavilion behind the scenes, then he must be careful in the digital world to avoid being caught by them.

Hence, he instructed Ning Yi to contact him in the Divine World, which was extremely secure and impossible to breach.

Even in the past timeline, there had never been a successful breach toward the Divine World. So many expert hackers attempted it, only to end up becoming a laughingstock.

Shortly after the video call ended, another incoming call came through.

Silently, Xu Feng went to check who it was, and to his surprise, it was Zhao Xin.

"What’s the matter?" Xu Feng answered the call and inquired.

"My little brother is in the finale. Care to join me to spectate the match?" Zhao Xin’s voice resounded.

"You heard about the news as well, huh?" His expression turned slightly grim. He doubted Zhao Xin would have gone out of her way to invite him to spectate the match when she practically missed Zhao Kai’s first battle.

"Seems like you have been informed about it already." Zhao Xin didn’t bother to beat around the bush and admitted.

"I’m waiting outside the Apex Tower. We can converse further in the car. Although I’m using my little brother as an excuse, I do intend to watch his battle today."

"Alright, I’ll be there soon."

Once the call ended, Xu Feng’s expression remained stoic, but his hand was grasping the phone.

What he despised the most was when the enemies couldn’t handle things in the Divine World and resorted to bringing the issues to the real world.

Given that there was no divine world system operating in the real world, it was nearly impossible to compete with these behemoths.

Or at least that was what his enemies were currently thinking.

’Don’t blame me for being cruel when you don’t play by the rules.’ He sneered inwardly.

Sometime later, Xu Feng arrived at the lobby and spotted a luxury car parked outside.

He approached them and was quickly greeted by another person.

"You are quite the wanted man now. Who could have imagined a dropout would become so valuable?" Anna Liu said sarcastically. Despite being the secretary of Zhao Xin, she was very close to her and was qualified to make such remarks.

After all, unlike in the past, where her sarcasm was used in a degrading tone, this time, her sarcasm was used in a friendly manner.

Since Xu Feng had proven he wasn’t a leech or bootlicking type, the disdain that Anna held for him also dissipated with the passage of time. Moreover, Xu Feng wasn’t that petty a person to pursue the matter.

"I just had breakfast," Zhao Xin frowned.

"Good thing I omitted breakfast." Anna Liu heaved a sigh of relief and patted her chest.

Xu Feng shrugged in response. "Didn’t think the two of you were blind. Forgive me."

Once the teasing was over, Zhao Xin informed him. "I have already begun to erase traces of your information to prevent them from figuring out your identity. But the enemies are quite fierce. Many of our hackers are defeated."
