Chapter 1109: AN-BLX-77 and SG-TWR-66
Chapter 1109: AN-BLX-77 and SG-TWR-66
Given the immense security in the treasury, only Xu Feng could enter alone with the presence of the decree, powered by Lord Colossus Fifth.
Despite holding on to the decree, Xu Feng could feel an overwhelming amount of pressure surrounding him. They threatened to kill him as soon as his hand let go of the decree or when the decree lost its effect.
’No wonder the security outside seemed rather laidback.’ He thought the Colossuses were so overconfident that they couldn’t even be bothered to increase security in the interior aside from the exterior.
But reality had proven him wrong. It wasn’t that they didn’t bother to, but there wasn’t a need to with such a powerful formation.
Its power was comparable to that of a Tier 5.
Who could possibly infiltrate and steal something?
And even if they were capable of doing it, why would they waste their time in a mere treasury?
Skyland City was no longer a priority for many NPCs. In fact, it was clear that the human NPCs had given up on Skyland City when there was still the formidable and almighty Star Falls City standing strong.
Shaking his head, Xu Feng had no intention of spending too much time on the grand schemes of matters, in which the players were still unqualified to participate.
Rather than caring about stuff out of his league, he might as well use the time to inspect the type of treasures the Colossus had looted.
As he hovered around the treasury, his eyes were disinterested in the physical equipment. Gears could always be found once you reached a higher stage.
Moreover, it could only be equipped for one person. Unless the equipment was in the form of a blueprint that could be mass-produced, Xu Feng had no interest in them.
’The siege will happen soon. I need something that could help the town.’ He knitted his brows and proceeded to advance toward the interior. He doubted anything placed outside would be useful.
Sometime later, Xu Feng’s footsteps paused upon seeing two encrypted blueprints.
"AN-BLX-77 and SG-TWR-88?" Stunned by these two blueprints, he hurriedly rushed over and glanced at them.
System Notification: Item is encrypted. Required a decoding tool to decrypt the item for further information!
Unsurprised by the system prompt appearing, Xu Feng’s hands were shaking nervously. Although there was only a code and all the information was encrypted, he knew what these two blueprints were about.
AN-BLX-77 was referring to the Aegis Nova Ballista, and SG-TWR-88 was referring to the Stormspire Guardian. Both of these were extremely scarce and a game changer in players’ owned towns and cities.
After all, they were large-scale defensive artillery and turret systems.
With these two in hand, his crisis was easily resolved.
’I need to head to Willowbrook Village immediately.’ Feeling the urgency, Xu Feng must meet with Fiona Forgefire to decrypt the blueprints.
Despite knowing what the content was, the blueprint cannot be used unless the encryption is decoded. That was the restriction that he couldn’t bypass whatsoever.
With the decision made, Xu Feng didn’t even bother to brood over the rest.
There would always be a chance to return to the treasury if he played some more tricks. But the time would never wait for him.
After his actions against Miracle Pavilion and the other guilds, they were more than determined to besiege his town as revenge.
He simply made a detour here as a precaution in the case that he failed to defend the town and lost it to them. When that happened, players would soon be fed with falsified information that the Miracle Pavilion betrayed the humans’ side and joined the Colossus ranks to achieve their feats.
And even if they failed to siege, Xu Feng would still benefit when Miracle Pavilion’s reputation hit rock bottom and lost the players’ trust and faith.
Many players were still resentful of the Colossuses due to losing all their progress and having to restart from scratch. As for those who paid in advance for their tavern or hotel room or had their equipment in repair during the Colossus’ invasion, they suffered miserably.
Not only did they lose all their deposit, but even their precious equipment was gone. Some of them happened to be of Epic rarity, too.
How could they forget such a grudge?
Sometime later, Xu Feng exited the treasury with two blueprints in his hands.
"Sir Luther has chosen the treasures already?" Dumbfounded, the monsters didn’t expect him to come out so quickly.
"Indeed, I did." Xu Feng smiled lightly and returned the decree to them. "Can you please inform Lord Colossus Fifth that I still have urgent matters to handle on my side to process our upcoming coexistence. I still have more resources that I wish to deliver."
Upon hearing there were going to be more resources, the monsters’ eyes lit up.
They had been warned in advance to speak about the matter of more resources, so they gladly complied with the request.
"No problem. Lord Colossus Fifth had already transmitted the message. By now, most of our cities should know about our alliance with the Miracle Pavilion. Any member of Miracle Pavilion is a friend of ours." The monsters exclaimed joyously.
"Haha, great! This is fantastic!" Xu Feng laughed heartily and clapped his hands in exhilaration. His expression was completely filled with pride and excitement.
When the monsters noticed his genuine reaction, they made sure to take a mental note and reminded themselves to report this to Lord Colossus Fifth.
Sometime later, Xu Feng was safely escorted to the Teleport Platform.
"Lord Colossus Fifth said to take this Colossus Stone. With it in your possession, the other cities would know about Sir Luther’s identity and wouldn’t dare to cause trouble for you." Before activating the Teleport Platform, the monster handed over a very delicate stone.
Accepting the stone, Xu Feng calmly inspected the item.
—
Item Name: Colossus Stone
Description: A stone that contained the partial power of Colossus Fifth. It’s used as identification to be recognized as an ally of the Colossuses.
Note: Cannot be used by players.
—
’What a disappointment.’ He had a glimpse of hope that it could be useful material. Unfortunately, the system wouldn’t let him have that much of an easy life.
Nevertheless, having a form of identification to continue to swindle other conquered cities without using much of his salvia was a win-win anyway.
