Chapter 1110: A Snake
Chapter 1110: A Snake
After some pleasantries were exchanged, Xu Feng promptly used the Teleport Platform and chose Dragon Wind Empire to be the location.
Firstly, he couldn’t rule out the possibility that they would check his teleportation location. Secondly, he needed to make sure they understood where the Miracle Pavilion’s base was located.
Since he was posing as Luther, he naturally needed to return to his guild.
Flickers of light appeared as the teleportation commenced.
In the blink of an eye, Xu Feng was teleported away from Skyland City and arrived at Dragon Wind Empire.
Dragon Wind Empire, Teleport Platform
"Fuck, the Miracle Pavilion actually betrayed humanity!"
"What do you mean by betraying humanity?"
"Look at the latest forum posts!"
As soon as Xu Feng emerged in the Teleport Platform, some players were astonished as they urged others to hurriedly open their Game Forum.
Needless to say, many were confused by the situation and opened to check what was going on.
After all, they were accusing the reputed and the Overlord of the Dragon Wind Empire of betraying humanity.
Xu Feng was equally curious about the game forum posts. Given that Skyland City was a conquered city, many things were restricted.
The only reason why he was able to snap many pictures was because he paid a very steep price, followed by Yaren’s mission that allowed him to bypass the restriction.
’Hoh, the players sure caught on quick.’ He mused inwardly when he saw the players who accepted infiltration missions from the Adventure Association regarding the conquered cities, who discovered a new flag being raised.
Given how large and massive the flag was, everyone was able to tell that the symbol in the flag belonged to none other than the Miracle Pavilion’s emblem.
One didn’t even need to be a genius to understand the implication behind such a flag being raised by the conquered cities.
It was obvious that the Miracle Pavilion must have allied with the conquered cities for some unknown benefits. Otherwise, why would they suddenly raise a flag depicting them?
From the player’s post, the activities soared at a rapid rate, with many starting to curse the Miracle Pavilion for being unethical.
"Fuck the Miracle Pavilion!" Suddenly, one of the players near the Teleport Platform screeched in fury.
"I’ve lost two of my epic equipment because of the Colossuses, and this damn guild dares to ally with my sworn enemy? Are they perhaps after my equipment?" They continued, clearly suspicious of the Miracle Pavilion for trying to steal their resources.
If it hadn’t been one of the outbursts, maybe the collective few would have kept quiet. After all, they were still in the Dragon Wind Empire, where Miracle Pavilion members held noble rank, albeit the lowest rank.
But as soon as one player did, the rest of the players didn’t hold anything back and vented their frustration aloud.
Naturally, there were still a cautious few who decided to go anonymous and curse the Miracle Pavilion under the post. The comments started off quite mild, but it didn’t take long before they escalated beyond control.
[Fuck the disgusting piece of crap Miracle Pavilion. I’ve suffered from multiple cup noodles because of the Colossus, and they dare to ally with them.]
[Hmph, now I get why the Vanguard Guild declared war on them. It was because they caught wind of the news early on and wanted to stop them!]
[Holy shit! Is that the real truth?]
[Whoever just said that may make me look at the past interaction. It felt like the Miracle Pavilion has always been manipulating our emotions and thought process through media exploitation.]
Although each of the comments was anonymous, it didn’t stop the players from leaning closer to the supposed "discovery" that they had made.
Needless to say, these discoveries were posted by none other than Xu Feng.
’Divine News? More like Garbage News.’ He sneered inwardly. Just like any magnanimous person would do, Xu Feng naturally made sure the Divine News wouldn’t escape scot-free after their ploy.
Since they chose to play that ridiculous script and chose to side with Miracle Pavilion, it was only right for them to continue to endure the difficult times together.
Just when Xu Feng was about to line up for another teleportation, a commotion broke out from afar.
"I’ve told you that we’re innocent!" An agitated young man shouted loudly. "I don’t even know what the higher-ups were thinking. We’ve been friends for a long time, so you should have known my character.
"Precisely because we’ve been friends for so long that I knew damn well you were a snake!"
"A snake? You dare call me a snake when I gave you many discounts in our commerce?"
In the blink of an eye, a crowd began to form, with many being curious about their fight. Initially, they didn’t care much. But once they realized one of them happened to be a member of the Miracle Pavilion, the crowd became mixed.
As the crowd continued to increase, the two players arguing finally realized something was amiss.
However, one particular player among them was sweating bullets. After all, his guild emblem was visible for everyone to see.
"He’s part of the traitor guild!" Nobody knew who shouted it, but as soon as it did, a riot broke out.
Without hesitation, those who suffered heavy losses from the Colossus invasion rushed forward to capture the Miracle Pavilion member.
Streaks of light shone in the scene, with many casting their restraining skills to detain him. They disregarded the city laws completely.
Blinded by rage, they could no longer care about being sent to prison now that they had a proper outlet to vent their anger and frustration.
In the blink of an eye, city guards were alerted and rushed over in hopes of de-escalating the situation.
But it didn’t take long before the city guards were rendered helpless as another round of accusations was thrown at them.
"Why are the city guards assisting a traitor of humanity? Could it be that the Dragon Wind Empire had also betrayed humanity and sided with the Colossuses?"
Once again, nobody knew who shouted those words, but they sure as heck made everyone question the city guards.
Meanwhile, the actual culprit of the voice behind had already discreetly slipped through to teleport elsewhere.
’Have fun enjoying your last moment in the empire.’ Xu Feng sneered inwardly.
