Working on a pot of bowl, Xu Feng nearly tripped himself from the so-called compliment. Was she praising him or insulting his cooking skill when compared to the NPC chefs?

She was indeed looking for a personal chef, and it had to be someone she knew well.

"Hmph, then are you willing to adventure together with me from now on?" Carmen took a deep breath and asked.

This was her attempt in asking whether he would take her as a traveling game companion.

"Great, shall we start exploring some high level maps together?" She asked eagerly, seemingly reminiscing their old days. She still remembered how Xu Feng sacrificed his life to defend her when she was still a weak summoner.

Feeling her warm embrace, Xu Feng shook his head and patted her back.

Xu Feng’s jaws dropped at the new mission.

"What’s the matter, Guild Leader?" Carmen waved her hand around when she saw him staring at the empty air in a daze.

"Nothing much," he snapped out of his daze and explained, "It’s just that the progress of my Origin Cleric is about to resume in this second-tier promotion. My memories are a bit hazy, so all I could remember was doing some reconnaissance task and returning to the Battleship Lux."

Carmen’s eyes widened in disbelief when she listened to the details of his Tier Advancement.

"My goodness, what kind of sick tier advancement trial is that?" She was alarmed to see that he was actually experiencing a different genre game.

The Battleship Lux event, followed by the realistic reconnaissance task and hidden danger felt like a Sci-Fi movie.

"Tell me about it." Xu Feng frowned and wanted to give up on the trial. This Origin Trial 2.0 was definitely going to be mentally taxing.

When Carmen received the question, she couldn’t help but feel pleased. He was the type to not pry at her information at all. Yet now he was openly asking her about it meant that he was slowly loosening his guard against her.

"Is your mental health alright?" Carmen asked in concern. She didn’t plan on concealing her tier advancement, but she also didn’t want to dampen his mood any further.

"I can handle it." Xu Feng clenched his fist and steeled himself.

He was certain that her tier advancement must have been many times easier than him.

Unfortunately, he had severely underestimated her luck and his mental fortitude.

"I just needed to kill a few thousand enemies to pass the Tier Advancement. It took me around half an hour because I got too lazy to involve myself and simply sent my voidlings to do the job while watching a livestream." Carmen said after much consideration.
