Once Serene Paragon confirmed Lightning Blade wasn’t trying to hit on her, she relaxed a little bit.

This wasn’t her being narcissistic, but there had just been too many male players wanting to flirt with her and asking her to become their girlfriend.

"If that’s not your intention, what is the real intention?" She calmly asked.

"I want you to teach me how you honed your swordsmanship." Lightning Blade asked.

"I know it’s probably a secret, but I’m willing to pay the price as long as it doesn’t compromise my principles or harm my guild."

He wanted to learn to improve, but not at the cost of losing himself in the process.

"So it’s just that, huh?" Serene Paragon was amused. "It appears your guild leader didn’t mention anything to you at all."

Serene Paragon didn’t say anything but nodded her head as confirmation.

"Hah..." At this moment, Lightning Blade was rendered speechless. No wonder it felt so weird that Serene Paragon was fighting him purely on swordsmanship and even emphasized that no one should interfere.

"The town—city token. Your guild leader said you have an extra one to give to me."

’Ah, so that’s why I was granted an extra one and was told that at a certain time, someone would request it.’ Despite having believed her words, Lightning Blade still wished to make a confirmation.

"Can I message my guild leader for verification? It’s not that I don’t believe you, but we can never be too safe, right?" He didn’t hide his intention and thought process.

It was only logical that he would be somewhat hesitant, given that Serene Paragon was ultimately still on the hostile guild side.

A few seconds later, Lightning Blade received the confirmation and handed her the city token. With the city token, she could now legally teleport directly to Haven Wind City without having to pay any entry fee. This was another privilege that she earned for doing him a favor.

Just when she was about to get up and leave, Lightning Blade delivered a message.

"Ah, my guild leader said that you should go to the city and meet him at the training hall. He said you would definitely be amused."

"Oh, he said that after dropping two consecutive posts?"

Serene Paragon was indeed intrigued because she could see the guild chat going insane from the forum posts by Lin Feng.

"Very well. I’ll head over there. Are you going to do that as well?" She inquired.

Serene Paragon also sensed that he was trying to hide something, but she was too lazy to care.

Lightning Blade was also about to get up and leave until an NPC waiter approached him.

"25 silver coins??!" Lightning Blade’s eyes widened in shock. He glanced at the table that only had some plain bread and tea.

"Are you trying to scam me here? We only had tea and plain bread!"

He might not be extremely poor, but that didn’t mean he would allow others to extort him. If push comes to shove, he would definitely file a complaint with the guards and sue this tavern.

Alas, his expression quickly changed when the NPC waiter explained the reason.

"Your companion had ordered a lot of luxury food to go earlier when you went to the restroom. They also said you would foot the bill, so this is perfectly legal, Sir." The NPC waiter’s tone was gradually getting lower, a sign that they were ready to apprehend him for attempting to dine and dash.
