Chapter 1571: Carmen Commander Battle Part 6
Mining Area
Swoosh!
Numerous figures emerged from a portal, their presence quickly shocking everyone present.
"Who are you, people?"
"Are you trying to start a war?"
The numerous defense members in their respective mine caves were alarmed by a sudden large group of people arriving.
"Relax." Carmen stepped forward and glanced at the crowd. "I’m not here for your mine cave unless some want to test my patience."
Sure enough, many players were astonished by Carmen’s appearance.
"T-The Demoness?"
"Wasn’t she at a guild war against Razor Nightmare in the Great Roc Town?"
Although they were stationed here to defend, they obviously had streams opened up to relieve their boredom.
No sane human could ever guard something like a robot and not find some other source of entertainment to pass the time.
"Oh wait, doesn’t Razor Nightmare own a mine in the area?"
"Oh shit. You’re right!"
Within minutes, the players quickly realized the reason behind their appearance.
They were here to rob the mine cave!
It was a good guess, but that wasn’t the case.
"Where’s Razor Nightmare mine cave?" Carmen decided to tease a little bit and inquire. She reckoned that if Razor Nightmare had some allies here and attempted to feed her false information, she would teach them a lesson.
Unfortunately, Carmen would be disappointed if she wanted to find others to mess with.
"The Razor Nightmare cave is up ahead, and you turn right after the split path. Take about another 5 steps, and you’ll be there."
"They moved a lot of manpower earlier, so their defense is quite weak."
"Mhmm, we don’t dare to steal it because the repercussions wouldn’t be fun, but we support you, Vanguard Guild."
Not only did these people gladly give up the location, they even went ahead and relayed the necessary intel to them.
’Wow, Razor Nightmare really needs to work on their interpersonal relationship.’ Carmen was somewhat flabbergasted by how bad of a reputation they had.
She already knew the information beforehand. Thus, she could confirm and verify that all the words these players spoke were nothing but the truth.
"Thanks for the help." Carmen nodded and returned the gesture. "You can tell us your affiliation, and you’d be discounted the next time you come to spend in our stores. Oh, you’ll also get a free slot advance entry to our new city."
As soon as she finished her statement, the nearby players erupted into cheers.
How could they forget about Vanguard Guild being the first guild to construct a city?
Till now, almost everyone was eager to get a slot entry to Vanguard Guild’s new city, Haven Wind City, since its exposure.
Alas, the city remained locked, and no entry was permitted.
Yet now they were being told they had helped their guild gain an entry slot.
That was a kind of merit and achievement that would grant them large bonuses.
And all that for what?
Just ratting out the annoying and hateful Razor Nightmare?
"We shall look forward to your success, Demoness!"
"I’ve always been a fan! I will continue to support the stream."
"All hail the Demoness!"
As the players cheered, Carmen had already walked away with the rest of the team.
"The Commander is impressive," Sweet Sky praised.
"We not only earn more customers, but we even show that we’re more reasonable than Razor Nightmare."
"Reasonable?" Lucy scratched her head.
Was it really considered reasonable?
She didn’t want to brag, but given the skill level of those players from earlier, they wouldn’t be a match against their Guild Commander. Sure, they might be Tier 2, but even then, there was a major difference between Tier 2 players.
"Am I not reasonable, Lucy?" Carmen continued her pace but turned around to look her in the eyes.
"Very reasonable," Lucy replied with the straightest face ever.
"If you claim to be second in reasonableness, nobody would claim to be first." She continued.
The nearby Vanguard members only dared to laugh at the response silently.
How fake was that lie?
It was so obvious, but none would expose her.
Maybe if it was OneManMedia, then they would have taunted him right away. But since it was Lucy, they all gave her a pass.
After all, she did help market them to look very good in promotional posters.
"Hmm, not quite accurate." But Carmen thought otherwise. "Even if I claim second, the Guild Leader will claim first without any hesitation."
Almost everyone nodded their heads subconsciously.
Indeed, given the shameless behavior of their Guild Leader, he would definitely claim to be the number one most reasonable person ever.
Sometime later, the group arrived at the mine cave owned by Razor Nightmare.
The atmosphere and vibe within the area differed vastly from the previous mine caves.
Unlike the others who had their defense players strictly in monitoring mode, these people were more laidback. It was as if they were here just for show and not really here to patrol or defend the cave.
"The arrogance in Super Guild knows no bounds." Carmen’s eyes narrowed slightly. Even when they had a city and multiple defense structures, Xu Feng would never allow them to be complacent.
This was not only a sign of respect for their assignment, but also a show of their pride as part of the Vanguard Guild.
She gestured with her fingers and commented, "Do it."
In the blink of an eye, all Vanguard Members charged ahead.
"Who are you?"
"Don’t you know who owns this mine cave?"
Alarmed, the guards were astonished that someone actually had the nerve to target their mine cave. Their guild banner was raised up high to ensure nobody would be able to miss that the mine cave was owned by their Razor Nightmare.
In response to these guards’ comment, the Vanguard Members revealed their guild emblem.
As soon as the guild emblem was on display, the guards’ eyes nearly popped out.
"Crap! That’s the Vanguard Guild!"
"Why are they here? Weren’t they attacking our town?"
"Quickly notify the guild!"
Alas, even if they were to send the news now, it would be way too late.
