Chapter 1581: Esports Tournament Part 8

Divine World, Haven Wind City

Swoosh!

Numerous people appeared in the center of the Teleport Platform.

"So this is Haven Wind City?" Amongst them was none other than Zhang Tie Quan, otherwise known as Herald Fist.

"The mana density here is even superior to the NPC cities and empires!" Ardent Lance exclaimed.

He held his lance and wielded it for a few moments. Sure enough, he could tell that his attack speed had increased with the city’s buff.

"My god, the buff lasts for 3 hours. We can even save on stat potions if we just come here for a second."

"We know!" The other Tyrant Fist members rolled their eyes. Every time, their companion, Ardent Lance, must make the first comment.

Ardent Lance chuckled in response.

"I just wanted everyone to know." He shrugged with a cheeky expression.

"Alright, that’s enough fooling around." Herald Fist cleared his throat and spotted a few people approaching them.

They were clad in the Vanguard Guild Emblem, so Herald Fist knew better than to have his subordinates make an embarrassment.

"Greetings, Guild Leader of the Tyrant Fist Guild, Mister Herald Fist." The person greeted him and smiled lightly. "I’m Kailey, in charge of guiding you to the city."

"We’ll be in your care, Miss Kailey." Herald Fist cupped his fist and thanked her.

Kailey was not some unknown person. It was said that Kailey had openly toyed with the Illuminati representative, Natasha, before.

The fact that Natasha neither denied nor admitted to the authenticity meant it had indeed occurred.

’Little sister told me not to act impulsive or brutish.’ He kept that in mind.

If he really acted like that and the news got spread to his little sister, he was going to get a big earful. He couldn’t possibly disappoint her when she made such a big effort to connect his guild with the Vanguard Guild.

As the group began to follow Kailey, she explained the city’s layout and taboos.

"Our city doesn’t have many rules, but there must absolutely be no fighting in public spaces. There are arenas and other buildings for private disputes." She warned sternly.

"We’ll keep that in mind." Herald Fist nodded and sent a glare at his subordinates.

They tend to brawl whenever possible. But they better curl their fists behind their pockets and not make a commotion. It would have been a major embarrassment if they got into trouble because of brawling publicly.

Sometime later, the group arrived at the Training Hall.

Although its outside appearance remained unchanged, everyone knew that the interior features had undergone a major change.

As they entered the training hall, Herald Fist heard multiple sounds from afar.

"Are your members training right now?" He turned to Kailey and inquired.

"Oh, our members are on vacation mode. We’ve just finished a guild war, so they all get to take 3 days off." Kailey smiled lightly.

"Then those people inside?"

"They’re also in the alliance like you."

"Hoh?" Herald Fist was intrigued. He wondered who else could be in the alliance with the Vanguard Guild.

’Could it be the Phoenix Guild?’ He pondered silently.

The Phoenix Guild managed to become an Overlord in their city mainly because of the Vanguard Guild’s assistance.

Without the Vanguard Guild’s help, the Phoenix Guild might have struggled even now.

However, his expression changed drastically when he spotted someone.

The same goes for the rest, who were dumbfounded.

"Whoa, if it isn’t the outdated lancer boy."

"Who are you calling outdated, you damn Steelshot!" Ardent Lance was immediately triggered and called out to him.

"What are you even doing here?"

Steelshot snickered and glanced at him. "That should be my question. I was here first."

"Is the guild you have an alliance with the Silver Wind Guild?" While those two were arguing, Herald Fist turned to Kailey and asked.

"One of them," Kailey answered. "Besides the Silver Wind Guild, we have also allied ourselves with the Dark Legion Guild."

"Dark Legion Guild, huh..." Herald Fist was silent for a few moments. The Dark Legion Guild was led by someone named RavenKnight. But almost everyone knew he wasn’t the real leader.

There were rumors that the real leader was someone hiding in the Silver Wind Guild. It was never confirmed, but Herald Fist had a reasonable suspicion that the rumor was indeed true.

’Both the Silver Wind Guild and Dark Legion Guild were here to train. I’ll be damned if you tell me they have no relationship.’ Herald Fist was certain that if it wasn’t for his little sister, he would really be swallowed up.

At the moment, only the Vanguard Guild could withstand itself against the Super Guilds’ assault.

This wasn’t to say the other guilds were worthless. But they simply preferred not to overly antagonize the Super Guilds as opposed to what the Vanguard Guild does.

Who could have imagined the standings they would have back then?

’Compared to the Vanguard Guild Leader, I really am incompetent.’ They said one shouldn’t compare themselves to others, but Herald Fist truly felt inferior this time.

He shook his head and proceeded to enter to greet the others. Since he was a latecomer, it was only natural that he did the greeting first.

...

Real World, Vanguard’s Studio

"Whoa, is this the studio?" Zhang Jingyi exclaimed in shock. "I thought everything was green screen, but you actually have the scenes built up from scratch."

"Only through practical objects could it really help the actors immerse themselves." Xu Feng mused.

The green screen was indeed a great choice to cut costs and simplify things to be done through the computer. However, using a green screen was a bit lacking when it comes to details and immersiveness.

Moreover, the green screen usage was usually reserved for big movie productions.

His Vanguard only focused on short dramas, so there was no need to use a green screen.

"Can I also try to be an Immortal and fly up like in the drama?" Zhang Jingyi inquired. She was excited and wanted to test out new things.

"Sure, you just need to pay me 100 dollars as a trial fee."
