At a large venue, a conference with multiple reporters was seated as representatives of Ethereal stood at the center of the platform.

One speaker stood up and approached the stand.

"We are disheartened to have learned that one of our team leaders had participated in a grossly defamatory remark made toward Gentle Wind. We formally apologize and will compensate for all the damages done to her." The speaker then bowed solemnly.

Flashes from the reporters’ cameras flickered throughout the room at this scene.

The speaker was about to step down when one of the reporters stood up and asked a question.

"Who is the person responsible for the slanderous remark?" The reporter demanded. "Are they going to be punished for the incident?"

The speaker remained silent at the question. They clearly didn’t want to answer the question, but the reporter wasn’t going to let them off easily.

"Is this just an apology forced because of Vanguard’s operation in disrupting the training ground? Are you really sincere and apologetic?"

"You—" The speaker was dumbfounded by the hostile reporter.

They narrowed their eyes and spotted their badge.

"The RSH News Reporter... what is your intention?"

"My intention?" The reporter smirked and flashed their badge.

"I’m Ling Jingxuan, aka Cute Joy in the Divine World. I’m just curious about the Ethereal’s intention in attacking us females with such a gross remark."

As soon as Ling Jingxuan introduced herself, the nearby reporters began to chime in to support.

After all, Ling Jingxuan was a female and had all the rights to question Ethereal as opposed to a male reporter.

Her statement essentially forced the speaker into a dead corner.

Whether they answered now or not would prove fatal to them either way.

"Kai told me he wanted to lead that section. So he signed up as the party leader for it. The event allows us to not omit the member participant for the siege until one day before the event starts."

To ensure people wouldn’t attempt dirty moves to target the member list in advance, the organizer made sure the team leader could submit the names of their team until the very last day.

Of course, this was only applicable for the siege section.

For the other sections, the number of participants was simply too overwhelming for anyone to actually play dirty.

He realized he fucked up!

’I’m going to get drained badly.’ He hurriedly tried to move away and escape, but he was arm-locked.

"Where do you think you’re going, little brother?" Carmen curled her lips upward and grinned.
