Chapter 406: Angry Bull
Chapter 406: Angry Bull
When Chris realized his two companions were actually starting to hesitate, he became infuriated.
"Are you two serious right now?" Chris raised his tone and shouted, "We all missed the chance of getting a strong pet to assist us in our adventure because of this bastard. How are we supposed to let go of this grudge?"
"Yes, we got kicked out, but isn't that because we took the initiative to mess with him first?" Gillian replied, not a bit intimidated by his shouting.
Kyle also nodded in agreement. In the first place, they were the most innocent and didn't even involve themselves at all.
As long as they could talk it out with Lara and have her transmit their message on their behalf, there was a high chance of them being unbanned.
After all, the troublemaker had always been Chris and a little bit of Kiara who was rather ignorant of the taboos within the Pet Association.
One could even say that Kiara was only excited and lost her cool at that particular moment. If she were to sincerely apologize to Xu Feng and the latter accepted, she could potentially be unbanned as well.
Amidst their thought process, Xu Feng yawned and said, "I don't mind speaking to Manager Theodore to forgive the two of you, Kyle and Gillian. You were just innocent collateral damage because you made the wrong friends."
With that exclamation, their wavering intensified, and Chris was starting to realize the shrewd tactic of Xu Feng.
Not only was Xu Feng stalling for time, but he was trying to stir internal conflict among them.
"Snap out of it, the two of you!" Chris roared and proceeded to explain, "He's just stalling for time and creating friction among us. We need to remain clear-headed and get this bastard first!"
Alas, his explanation didn't seem to quite work, given Kyle and Gillian were more rational. If it were outside the city, then they might have agreed and followed Chris' action.
However, they weren't and were still in the city.
Additionally, they wouldn't have made a move if it weren't for the fact that they had determined Xu Feng was heading to the Teleport Platform and not the city's gate.
This meant that he was leaving, and once teleported away, they would lose their target. After all, the guards assigned to the teleport platform would be adamant in concealing the teleportation location of the person.
With Paradise Plains being labeled as Heaven for Professionist, the confidentiality of their whereabouts was naturally extremely high. Your next read is at empire
Only the true higher-ups of Paradise Plains could ask for the information, but even then, the process would be recorded and rather tedious.
At this moment, Xu Feng calmly said, "10 seconds are up. What are your decisions?"
Chris was about to conjure another spell and attack him to prevent his filthy mouth from continuing to sow discord among them.
Unfortunately, it was a little bit too late.
"We'll leave." Both Kyle and Gillian announced but continued, "You promised to speak to Manager Theodore on behalf of us?"
"Yes, and I'm pretty sure the chances are high, especially when you're friends with Lara." Xu Feng nodded.
"Alright, we'll trust you, but know that we won't stop pursuing you if you lie to us." Gillian declared before exiting out of the formation.
Kyle didn't bother to say anything else and merely followed Gillian, exiting the formation.
"You two traitors!" Chris' forehead seemed to have veins popping out when he saw the two of them discarding him.
Thankfully, there was still Kiara… right?
He quickly turned his attention to her, and to his dismay, she now showed a sign of hesitation and anticipation?
"W-Will you forgive me and ask Manager Theodore to unban me as well?" When Kiara opened her mouth and asked, Chris felt his entire world crashing down.
Three of his buddies had not only turned their back on him, but they had also sought forgiveness from the one person he was trying to kill.
Meanwhile, Xu Feng pondered for a few seconds before nodding his head.
"Very well, I shall forgive you since it's the first offense and you didn't really show any malice." He rubbed his chin softly and decided to forgive her.
Her behavior might have been somewhat offensive, but without any actual malice when trying to buy his pet, he didn't care about letting her go. Of course, if she decided to repeat the process again, then Xu Feng couldn't care less about her regret and would show no mercy.
"Okay then, I shall trust you for now," Kiara exclaimed and retrieved the isolated formation. Without even bothering to consult Chris, she swiftly left the area.
"Oh my, from four people down to one person. Words are really powerful, ain't it?" Xu Feng mused and chuckled softly upon seeing Chris' face.
If there were colors on faces, then Xu Feng was positive Chris' face color would be in the middle of red and purple.
"I! WILL! KILL! YOU!" Chris clenched his fist and spoke each word slowly and loudly.
In response, Xu Feng casually rubbed his ear, seemingly trying to get some wax off from the inside.
A few seconds later, upon realizing Chris' intense glare at him, Xu Feng subsequently glanced at him and then pointed at himself.
"Sorry, were you talking to me earlier?" He asked confusingly. "If so, then please forgive me. I didn't expect an angry bull to be capable of talking."
Xu Feng sounded very innocent, almost like he was legitimately sorry about not paying attention.
However, it was precisely because of this action that inevitably caused Chris to lose his sanity.
The bastard didn't even make a move aside from dodging and talking a few lines of sentence. Yet the outcome was him being dumped by his buddies for years and now the bastard was even taunting him, calling him an angry bull in the process!
"Go to fucking hell you bastard!" Chris roared in a thunderous tone and launched at him with frightening killing intent.
"Ah, the angry bull went stupid as usual and charged at me like I'm a red flag." Xu Feng chuckled and said, "Hehe, I'm in danger— Sike!"
