Chapter 420: Elemental Warrior Set
Chapter 420: Elemental Warrior Set
"E-Elemental Warrior Set?" Soulstrider was taken by surprise as he didn't know about such items being sold by the Vanguard guild.
He was here to cause trouble and chaos, ensuring that most of the people would be on guard or disappointed in Xu Feng.
Had he known there were such items, then he would have properly investigated more thoroughly. After all, his subordinates told him that one piece of equipment costs a whopping 10 gold coins. He was never informed that the piece of equipment was a set!
'That fucking wastrel caused me to become a clown.' Instead of blaming himself, Soulstrider was ready to thrash that useless subordinate of his.
While Soulstrider felt like he had just consumed a mouthful of maggots, the rest became curious about the Elemental Warrior Set.
Finally, the Guild Captain of the Solaris Guild, Blake, couldn't contain his curiosity anymore. "Guild Leader Lin Feng, may I ask what this Elemental Warrior Set you speak of is?"
Many other people nodded their heads in agreement and stared intensely at Xu Feng.
"Haha, rest assured, fellas. You will all get a chance to purchase one set for your guild or team, except for the Astral Guild and Sky Hunters Team." Xu Feng clasped his hands and declared.
"What?" Astonished, Emberwolf quickly shouted in exasperation. "Why can't our Sky Hunters Team purchase an Elemental Warrior Set?"
"Yes, that isn't fair." Soulstrider quickly chimed in. "It can't be that Guild Leader Lin Feng is that petty after a few arguments with us?"
Very cleverly, Soulstrider strived to gather the public opinions to side with him by claiming that he was a petty and hateful person.
Although not all bought Soulstrider's statement, there were still a few that were wavering.
After all, they hadn't truly understood who Xu Feng was aside from the rumors. Thus, they didn't have a clear picture of him, which allowed a crack of opportunity for Soulstrider to slip in and coerce them.
Unfortunately for Soulstrider though, he miscalculated one thing. Xu Feng was not the type to give a damn about the public opinions much.
"Your arguments or doubts regarding my guild's conduct is nothing but a trivial skirmish." Xu Feng waved his hand and continued, "The reason why you can't purchase one is very simple. You are affiliated with an enemy of the Vanguard guild."
"Where's the proof for that?" Emberwolf exclaimed.
Soulstrider also shouted, "Even if it's true, the fact that one is affiliated to an enemy or people you don't like, we'll get discriminated against despite not actually making a move toward your guild?"
Unlike Emberwolf who was managing an Adventure Team, Soulstrider was a top personnel of a guild.
Therefore, he knew the other guilds had long known about their affiliation with the Reaver Guild. It was just that no one had voiced it out, given that the situation would turn very awkward.
Instead of denying it, Soulstrider sought to warn others that they could one day become like them just for being a nuisance to the Vanguard guild.
Sure enough, his tactic works, with Blake asking on behalf of many.
"Is it true if we had a bit of skirmish or disagreement, the Vanguard guild would outright backlist us, Guild Leader Lin Feng?" Blake was worried that his actions of sending spies would earn the ire of Xu Feng and result in him losing out on the Elemental Warrior Set.
With attention returning to Xu Feng, he truly must praise Soulstrider's swift thinking and decision.
'What a pity that you aren't a part of my guild, but an enemy of mine.' He lamented silently and proceeded to snap his fingers.
Shortly after, Monica arrived and stood behind him.
"Monica, do tell them how many sets we have for sale." He then commanded and took a step back, giving her the stage to talk.
Monica nodded and informed everyone a few seconds later. "Currently, our Vanguard Shop has 11 Elemental Warrior Sets available for sale due to its extensive material requirement and high level of difficulty to forge."
"Only 11 sets?"
"Hmm, I suppose it's only right. After all, such sets should be powerful and scarce to produce."
"Damn, knowing the Guild Leader's conduct, these sets might be put up for auction. Can we even compete for them?"
Amidst the small chattering, Monica continued her words without any concerns about their reactions. "Just like the Boss has announced, aside from the two groups that are blacklisted from buying, the remaining 9 sets would be sold to the respective guilds or teams at a bargaining price of 10 gold coins."
The moment Monica finished her statement, cheers quickly erupted among the crowd. It was especially for those who realized with 10 gold coins, they could get their hands on the set.
'Damn it… This Lin Feng pulled a fast one.' Unlike the many excited people, Soulstrider was stupefied by the shift in public opinion.
Now that it had been revealed everyone else could buy a powerful set for a measly price of 10 gold coins, who would still support him?
However, his nightmare had only just begun when Blake, the Guild Captain who was keen-sighted, raised his hand up.
"Yes, are there other concerns you wish to know?" Monica glanced at them with a calm demeanor.
"May I ask what about the remaining 2 Sets that are available?" Blake inquired. Since there were 11 Sets available, but only 9 groups could get it, there would be an extra 2 sets. He was curious as to what the Vanguard guild planned on doing with the remaining 2.
After all, there was no way they would reveal such information if there were no additional plans with it.
"That's a good question." Monica flashed a gentle smile.
"Boss mentioned it before. Since the two groups were affiliated with the enemies of the Vanguard guild, they had forfeited their chance to get their hands on the sets. And knowing you all traveled from afar to meet him, Boss wanted everyone to have a good time. So, it was decided that after the raid, the two sets would be auctioned off.
Those who contributed the most during the raid will earn Raid Points, or RP, to bid with."
