Chapter 101
Chapter 101
For the next few days, Zhuo Zhiwei completely ignored He Qingqi. Seeing her smile shamelessly only made Zhuo Zhiwei angrier—so angry that every time she saw He Qingqi, she felt the urge to stomp on her.
During one group performance, as they were performing their title song on stage, He Qingqi passed by her during their formation and flashed a sweet, soft smile, as if made of cotton candy.
So sweet, so innocent.
But Zhuo Zhiwei, having been toughened by life, was no longer so easily fooled. She scrunched her nose, glared at He Qingqi in a mock-fierce manner, then lifted her chin slightly and walked away without a second glance.
He Qingqi’s eyes and brows were filled with delight, as if she was floating on air. In her joy, she accidentally messed up a dance move and quickly corrected herself, her expression filled with a playful mix of helplessness and pride.
Ah… her wife was teasing her again, and she just couldn’t resist.
After the performance, the seven members walked off the stage, and He Qingqi immediately hurried over to Zhuo Zhiwei, trying to hold her hand. But Zhuo Zhiwei deliberately avoided her and sped up her pace.
He Qingqi: “???” Weren’t things fine just a moment ago?
She lowered her gaze thoughtfully, replaying the scene on stage like a movie, trying to confirm that she hadn’t done anything to wrong Zhuo Zhiwei. No winks at others, and her ex definitely wasn’t in the audience.
Breathing a sigh of relief, He Qingqi got bolder. “Weiwei!”
Upon hearing her, Zhuo Zhiwei walked even faster. She didn’t want to talk to this person at all. Just thinking about that night made her furious—what had she said back then?
What did she mean by “making her cry”?
Zhuo Zhiwei frowned slightly, biting her lip in embarrassment. Her hand unconsciously reached up to pinch her earlobe, which, sure enough, was still warm.
And to think she had been so easily swayed by He Qingqi that night, whimpering for mercy through her tears.
The overwhelming passion had drowned her, leaving her unsure of what she was even saying—whether it was from her lips or somewhere else.
She had been utterly drained by He Qingqi, clinging to her like a helpless vine. With a furrowed brow, she had begged softly, “Qixi, no more…”
That had been one of the few times in her life she had ever pleaded, yet He Qingqi, as if injected with adrenaline, didn’t show her usual mercy. Instead, she had gone even harder, whispering all sorts of seductive words into her ear.
The more Zhuo Zhiwei thought about it, the angrier she became. Anger mixed with a faint sense of shame and, oddly, a bit of joy, sending her heart into a wild flutter. Unable to admit it, she attributed everything to her frustration with He Qingqi, walking proudly with her head held high.
As she passed Tao Jinghan, she overheard her sigh softly, muttering, “Showing off again.”
Zhuo Zhiwei’s steps faltered. “…” She was not!
Even her smallest gestures of frowning and pressing her lips together exuded a restrained elegance.
Taking advantage of the moment, He Qingqi sidled up to her. With no one else around, she felt no need to restrain herself, curiously poking Zhuo Zhiwei’s cheek and pinching her ear.
She smiled, eyes curving in delight. So beautiful, and her skin felt so soft.
The other members of Wonders were used to the display, unfazed as they continued chatting amongst themselves.
“What’s wrong, Weiwei?” He Qingqi asked.
“Hmph,” Zhuo Zhiwei tossed her head, “Don’t touch me, you brat.” Wearing her stage combat boots, she walked off with an air of defiance.
He Qingqi: “???”
Not far away, Tao Jinghan was also feeling exhausted. Didn’t she say it earlier? These two were always showing off! She had even overheard a couple of Qingwei CP fans at the side of the stage squealing excitedly, unable to contain themselves: “How are our little darlings even sweet when they fight?!”
“Oh my gosh, Qixi is such a fool! Just look…” the rest of the sentence was cut off, but Tao Jinghan knew full well what they meant. They were probably finishing the thought in their heads: Just look at how Weiwei flashes her adorable little teeth, and Qixi gets completely bewitched.
The fans exchanged a glance, their shared excitement flowing between them as they grabbed each other’s hands and bounced in delight.
“She even messed up the dance! Weiwei’s too cute!”
At that moment, Tao Jinghan had silently scorned them both—dating on company time again! Hmph!
Though He Qingqi couldn’t quite figure out what had gone wrong, she stuck to her principle that if her wife was upset, it must be her fault. Shamelessly, she kept trying to hold Zhuo Zhiwei’s hand. After being brushed off several times, she remained undeterred, and eventually, Zhuo Zhiwei caught a glimpse of her pitiful eyes and softened. With a reluctant sigh, she let He Qingqi take her hand.
Just like every night before.
He Qingqi’s lips curled into a barely noticeable smile as she pulled Zhuo Zhiwei closer, her warm breath brushing against her ear. “What’s wrong, Weiwei? Did I upset you again?”
“Hmph,” Zhuo Zhiwei snorted softly, but she had no intention of letting go of He Qingqi’s hand.
Her fingers, slightly cool, rested lightly on He Qingqi’s hand with a gentle pressure, as if obeying without resistance.
So cute. He Qingqi tilted her head to gaze at her, her eyes so soft they seemed like they could melt. She wanted nothing more than to declare to the whole world that Zhuo Zhiwei belonged to her, so no one would dare pair her with anyone else. Heaven knew how furious she’d been when she saw those Wei-all fan discussions. The jealousy had nearly drowned her.
Pouting slightly, her amber eyes misted over with feigned sorrow. “Weiwei…”
Zhuo Zhiwei looked up in confusion, stopping in her tracks. He Qingqi stopped too, her previous awkwardness vanishing. She opened her eyes wide, looking sincere and concerned. “What’s wrong?”
Lowering her head, He Qingqi nuzzled into her neck and mumbled, “I want to go public.”
That again… Zhuo Zhiwei sighed softly. She had lost count of how many times He Qingqi had said this in the past month. She had already told her more than once: Let’s go public then. Yet He Qingqi would just shake her head, as if merely venting her frustration.
Zhuo Zhiwei knew what was holding He Qingqi back, but honestly, those concerns didn’t bother her much. All she wanted was to sing her songs and act in her dramas in peace.
Her thoughts wandered. Wasn’t Qixi into films? If she does well, maybe I’ll only take roles in her movies—whether as the lead or a supporting character. That way, we’ll always be together…
Always together? Zhuo Zhiwei was startled by her own thoughts. When had she become so greedy? A hint of indulgence slipped into her gaze—was this all because He Qingqi had treated her too well?
Zhuo Zhiwei dipped her head slightly, placing a soft kiss on the top of He Qingqi’s head. It was as light as a feather brushing by in the wind, only lingering for a moment before fluttering away. “Then let’s go public,” she repeated, not tired of saying it.
She chuckled quietly, her voice barely audible, as if speaking to herself, her gaze filled with sincerity. “Honestly, I don’t really care… about losing fans or whatever.”
“You and I both know that fame is fleeting. When the hype dies down or we do another season of Wonders 4, how many fans will we really have left?”
Zhuo Zhiwei pursed her lips, suppressing an urge that had been bubbling in her chest for some time. This urge, long restrained, finally reached its peak at that moment.
Her eyes sparkled with a sense of urgency, though her words came out measured and calm. “Losing fans is inevitable. Besides, we can’t hide forever, right? Or how long do you want to hide? Like Teacher Qi and the others? Not going public until you’re nearly forty? Or maybe thirty, or twenty-five?”
He Qingqi furrowed her brows. She truly couldn’t wait that long. She wavered but still felt the need to take responsibility for Zhuo Zhiwei’s career.
In the end, she hesitated and shook her head, her tone uncertain. “Let’s… wait a little longer.”
The fire in Zhuo Zhiwei’s chest was instantly extinguished, leaving something stuck in her throat. She was slightly disappointed, but she knew that He Qingqi wasn’t delaying this for her own sake.
Sighing, she thought for a moment. “Didn’t Sister Xi get me a TV drama? Let’s see how it does when it airs. If the reception is good and it looks like I can transition to acting, then we can go public.”
“Does that sound good?”
She gently tousled He Qingqi’s fluffy hair, her slender fingers slowly running through the strands as if handling the most precious treasure.
Just like when they were in bed—she and He Qingqi were two entirely different types. But it was precisely because of He Qingqi’s seemingly cold yet soft-hearted nature that she always held the upper hand in these matters.
If you asked whether Zhuo Zhiwei let her have her way, well, it was mutual. At first, He Qingqi had been cautious, like a little lion cautiously testing the boundaries of someone else’s territory. But as time passed and Zhuo Zhiwei indulged her more and more, He Qingqi had become bolder, confidently claiming her place.
Because she knew she was loved, she dared to act so boldly, finding every way possible to have fun in Zhuo Zhiwei’s arms. She recklessly displayed all sides of herself—good and bad—and Zhuo Zhiwei always found a way to accommodate her.
Feeling her heart soften, it took He Qingqi a moment to speak. “Weiwei, you…”
“Hm?”
“You’re going to spoil me.”
Zhuo Zhiwei was startled, then smiled. Who was really spoiling whom?
“Then let’s spoil you,” she said in a warm, teasing tone. “You’d better act more arrogant and domineering so no one else will like you. I want you all to myself.”
He Qingqi’s eyes widened, pleased but playfully indignant. “Oh, so you’re doing it on purpose!”
“No wonder, no wonder…” He Qingqi slipped into dramatic mode, her lips moving in exaggerated disbelief, her eyes filled with mock despair. “No wonder I can never stop at night. It turns out… it turns out you’re seducing me with your body, making sure I can’t leave you!” she accused, acting like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
She finished with a pout, sniffling in mock anger. “Hmph!”

Her face darkened, and even her throat seemed to tremble slightly. She gritted her teeth and said, “He Qingqi, you’d better have the guts to say that again!”
Her voice wasn’t loud, but it carried a sharp, cold edge.
He Qingqi shivered, realizing she might have taken the joke too far. Regretting it a little, she blinked her eyes, letting out a couple of awkward laughs. “Ha, haha…”
“What did you say, Weiwei?” He Qingqi walked quickly ahead, catching up with the rest of the Wonders group, pretending to look up at the ceiling at a 45-degree angle as she raised her voice. “What did you say? The wind is too loud—I can’t hear you.”
Who are you kidding? They were indoors!
Zhuo Zhiwei was furious, her cheeks flushed, unsure if it was from embarrassment or anger. “He Qingqi, you stop right there!”
