Chapter 1713: Chapter 1790: Appraisal Complete
"We’ve always suspected that Xu Zongdui is the real biological one..."
The squad that had been marching at high speed stopped right there; they decided to beat the crap out of this idiot who didn’t know what was good for him before doing anything else.
The news Shen Jianguo brought back was relayed immediately. Even though Shen Feihu cursed his son up and down, he still trusted the kid’s abilities a lot. Whatever this brat said was reliable and had never been wrong.
He happily reported to his superiors, then wrapped his coat tighter around him and stood on the sentry post, raising his telescope to observe the situation across the river.
Previously, the unit on the opposite side had been on strict alert. Lately, something big seemed to have happened; their guard was slack, which was why Shen Jianguo’s little squad could come over so easily.
Given Xu Qigang’s capabilities, getting over here was basically a non-issue. Besides, it was just early spring and the weather in the Northern region was still cold; the water in the Heihe River was still frozen. It was the perfect time to cross the border.
"President, President..." The assistant Xiao Tao came running up, panting hard. "The higher-ups want you to go back."
"I’ll wait a bit longer." Shen Feihu refused to leave.
Xiao Tao’s face turned ashen. Only their President dared say this kind of thing; anyone else, upon receiving an order, would have rushed back immediately.
"No way!" Bracing himself, Xiao Tao said, "It’s an order from Chairman Meng. You must return immediately, and the fact that you’ve been holding this post for so long was already a special exception. Now that it’s confirmed Xu Zongdui is fine, you have to go back."
During this time, Xiao Tao had seen it with his own eyes: the President had stayed in this godforsaken place for so long that his body was already at its limit.
It made him anxious just watching, and he figured Chairman Meng was asking him to return for that very reason.
"You’ll take a helicopter back. That’s what the President said." Xiao Tao added.
Unhappy, Shen Feihu tossed the telescope in his hand, pulled his coat tighter around himself, and led the way down from the sentry post. Before leaving, he personally ordered that once Xu Qigang came back, they were to have him take Qin Yue and rush back to the Provincial Rescue Center immediately.

Not long after Shen Feihu left, four black figures appeared on the vast white expanse of ice. The man in the lead was tall, every step he took steady and firm, moving at a very fast pace.
The second person in the line signaled from a distance, and the sentries on this side, upon receiving the code, didn’t even need to look to know that Xu Zongdui was back.
Fantastic. For the past month, every last one of them had been nervous to death. The last time Xu Zongdui, back when he was still Captain, went to S Country on a mission, the scene when he came back was still vivid in their minds.
So this time, everyone’s hearts had been lodged in their throats.
The four of them drew closer and closer. Xu Qigang still hadn’t given Qin Yue a pleasant look this whole time. The guy had been wearing a hooligan’s smirk all the way, that kind of grin that made people itch to punch him.
"Conditions here are pretty rough," he said coolly, sweeping a glance around. "Don’t tell me this is what your main base looks like?"
Xu Qigang silently told himself that this guy was just an idiot and not worth getting into it with, which was the only reason he held back from hitting him.
Not that Qin Yue was afraid of getting beaten; he had no intention of changing his foul mouth either. On the way back, he’d been really unwilling, pulling every kind of stunt imaginable.
Anyway, the codename Odin was already an even scarier name than Bikbota in S Country. He seemed to have a special fetish for bombs—wherever he went, something blew up.
The whole journey had been sparks and thunder, in a word: brutal, vicious, and shameless to the extreme.
Xu Qigang could still hold it in and say nothing, but Chen Yingjie and Renault didn’t bother hiding their ugly expressions. They’d long known the Little Hooligan was no good, but they hadn’t expected that even with amnesia, he’d still be such a piece of work.
He was basically not even human.
Sure enough, rotten to the core; everyone in the Qin Family was bad news.
