Chapter 875: Infinite Deathmatch (8)

Shi Sheng quickly leaped into the ruins beside her and hid inside a building. The tornado roared through the ruins, leaving nothing in its path.

Shi Sheng was covered in dust, almost blinding her.

‘This royal baobao was wrong.’

‘Baobao won’t court death anymore!!’

‘I’ll bear the consequences of my actions, even if it makes me cry.’

Shi Sheng dodged the tornado, weaved through the building and flanked Xu Anyuan, swinging her iron sword at him.

Xu Anyuan, ever vigilant, instinctively sensed danger and swiftly dodged. The iron sword struck the pillar behind him, slicing it cleanly in half.

The building, already tottering from the tornado, collapsed with a loud crash. Debris rained down like heavenly maidens scattering flowers.

The falling debris and dust enshrouded the entire area in a misty haze, with only the rumbling sound filling the air.

Shi Sheng couldn’t see where Xu Anyuan was, so she retreated to a safer spot.

Just as she was about to step out of the storm, a barrage of ice blades shot towards her, aiming to turn her into a sieve!

‘Impressive, my male lead!’

Shi Sheng quickly pulled out a shield card and erected a shield wall in front of her. This black card was level five, while Xu Anyuan’s card was of a lower level. The ice blades were unable to penetrate the shield.

Xu Anyuan had nearly exhausted his black cards. He never expected to encounter someone with more black cards than himself.

Shi Sheng dashed out of the danger zone, her gaze swiftly scanning the surroundings until she spotted Xu Anyuan. She swung her iron sword, and the sword qi, mixed with the surrounding dust, surged toward Xu Anyuan like a mighty river.

Xu Anyuan, with the tornado behind him, had no retreat. The sword qi sent him flying.

He traced a parabolic arc in the air and was sucked into the tornado, spiraling up to the highest point.

Shi Sheng looked up at the sky. The wind from the tornado whipped her clothes violently.

The tornado had a time limit. When it vanished, Xu Anyuan plummeted from the sky and crashed into a pile of ruins.

“Cough cough cough…” Xu Anyuan coughed violently, his lungs feeling choked with dust.

Since entering this game, he had never been in such a sorry state.

‘Yu Xia!’

Xu Anyuan looked at the girl walking toward him. The first time he heard her name was not from a mission in this world.

It was from the previous world, where her name was in the top ten.

It was the only name among those that sounded like a woman’s, so it stood out.

Xu Anyuan spoke grimly. “Yu Xia, you better kill me today, or I will make you regret it.”

Shi Sheng shrugged without saying a word. She continued to walk toward him and stabbed the iron sword into his chest.

The resistance was much less than she expected.

The iron sword smoothly penetrated Xu Anyuan’s chest.

Xu Anyuan was initially shocked. A few seconds later, the life in his eyes faded, blood trickling from his mouth. His eyes, reflecting Shi Sheng’s image, seemed to want to remember her.

Xu Anyuan died faster than Shi Sheng had anticipated. Within ten seconds, he had stopped breathing.

“So easy to kill?” ‘Something isn’t right!’

Shi Sheng pulled out a black card to check the rankings and saw that she had jumped to first place. Xu Anyuan’s name was gone.

But killing Xu Anyuan hadn’t been particularly difficult, which didn’t match the previous settings.

Unusual circumstances always hint at trouble.

Shi Sheng’s eyes flickered as she searched Xu Anyuan’s body, finding several cards but none with his name.

‘Where did he hide his card?’

“You guys, come here,” Shi Sheng called to the people in the distance.

The previously arrogant bystanders peeked out from the rubble and pointed at themselves in disbelief.

Shi Sheng nodded slightly.

The group exchanged glances and reluctantly walked up to Shi Sheng.

‘What does this auntie here want to do?’

They no longer dared to think about killing her for the advancement spot, especially since she had just killed the top-ranked Xu Anyuan!

“Strip him.”

“What?”

Shi Sheng’s eyes curved as she repeated, “Strip him!”

Bystanders: “…” ‘Didn’t expect this auntie to have a thing for desecrating corpses. Scary!’

The group didn’t dare delay and quickly stripped Xu Anyuan under Shi Sheng’s command, searching him for any cards.

They nearly dissected him but found no cards.

Shi Sheng’s eyes flickered. She instructed, “Tie him up. Maybe there will be a surprise.”

“What?” ‘Tie up a corpse?’

‘We have no habits of corpse abuse!!!’

Shi Sheng’s eyes swept over them indifferently. Although emotionless, her gaze made them shiver. “Tie him up, tie him up, tie him up, we’ll do it now.”

‘Mom, we’ve encountered a pervert!’

Shi Sheng left Xu Anyuan to the group and departed alone. If Xu Anyuan had any life-saving skills, staying wouldn’t be of any use.

Shi Sheng walked in one direction. The world was vast, and accidental encounters were rare. Most people tracked her down based on her location, intending to kill her.

This group of people wasn’t as rash as the previous novices, who attacked without a word.

These people were obviously smarter, following her and observing carefully.

Shi Sheng traveled by day and rested at random places at night, moving as slow as a snail.

At this moment, the group following her was discussing.

“Should we attack? We’ve been following her for so long, and she doesn’t seem very powerful.” Since following her, they hadn’t seen her fight. She avoided dark elves when encountered.

“There are still others lurking. If we attack first, others will reap the benefits…”

“So what do we do? Just follow her and waste time? There’s only one advancement spot, and we have many people.” Once the hundred spots were filled, those without would be eliminated.

“Wait a bit longer. Someone will eventually make a move.”

They waited for another two days, with more people joining the tracking team.

“Boss, don’t you think this place feels off…” ‘Why does it seem darker than before?’

‘And it feels so frickin’ eerie.’

‘Something seems to be watching us from behind.’

“She’s still going further in.”

“Follow her.”

The followers noticed Shi Sheng speeding up, disappearing in a blink.

They were between several concrete buildings that were seemingly still under construction.

“Something’s wrong, retreat!” Someone sensed danger and prepared to flee.

A mocking voice echoed from above, “Since you’re here, don’t leave!”

Everyone looked up and saw the girl who had been in front of them, now standing on a protruding part of the third floor and smiling faintly.

She exuded an aura of supreme dominance, a confidence that came from deep within, showing she was in full control.
