Chapter 876: Infinite Deathmatch (9)

Chapter 876: Infinite Deathmatch (9)

Quite a few people were tracking Shi Sheng, and by now, most of them had followed her here.

‘Damn it, they want to mess with me(lz)!’

‘Do they take me(lz) for a retard?’

Shi Sheng drew her sword and swung it toward the building opposite, the sword qi slicing off half the structure.

As the building collapsed, dark elves flew out from behind, blotting out the sky and blocking all light.

They could only hear the sound of wings flapping as the dark mass of dark elves descended upon them.

“Ah!”

A scream immediately plunged the scene into chaos; they hadn’t expected such a large group of dark elves here.

Standing on high ground, Shi Sheng was the first target of the dark elves.

Shi Sheng quickly dealt with the dark elves swarming her, then jumped into a narrow space within the building.

With so many people below, the dark elves naturally stopped pursuing Shi Sheng and instead attacked those below.

Shi Sheng slipped to the back, picking off the dark elves one by one. Once they finished off the people in the front, she had almost finished dealing with the dark elves.

The ground was littered with corpses, the air thick with the stench of blood.

Shi Sheng looted the black cards from these people and fed them to her cards until they were all at usable levels.

Only after Shi Sheng left did a shadowy figure slowly reveal himself. His face was pale, his body trembling, and his mind blank.

‘Is that woman even human?’

‘She killed so many dark elves by herself!!!’

Looking at the bodies scattered around, he didn’t dare stay and chose to leave in the opposite direction of Shi Sheng.

He didn’t want to encounter such a terrifying maniac. The mission on the black card was simply impossible to complete.

Shi Sheng encountered Miaomiao and Pei Jin again over ten days later. At the time, Shi Sheng was toying with dark elves when Pei Jin and Miaomiao suddenly entered the area. The dark elves immediately abandoned Shi Sheng and went for the two easier targets.

A group of people followed them, not chasing them but rather fleeing for their lives.

Shi Sheng, sitting on her iron sword, watched them run below. Soon, she saw what was chasing them.

A larger group of dark elves.

The previous dark elves looked like they were in their juvenile stage, while these were more like adults, with claws that seemed capable of tearing people to pieces.

Shi Sheng’s hands itched.

But remembering her still-healing injuries, she decided to run.

‘Where is the female lead? She hasn’t shown up for so long!’ Her wounds wouldn’t heal without a healing card, and although the system’s items could delay the pain, it wasn’t a long-term solution.

Shi Sheng, riding her iron sword, was faster than the people below.

She noticed the new dark elves were even faster than before and were quickly catching up to her.

“Yu Xia! Yu Xia is nearby!”

Someone below shouted, and the group looked around as they ran.

“Up in the sky!”

“The sky… how is her sword flying? Is that her skill?”

“Isn’t Yu Xia really powerful? Can she handle those dark elves behind us?”

Their noisy chatter reached her ears. Pei Jin and Miaomiao also saw her, surprised to meet her again.

“Lead those things towards her, and we can escape.”

Most people agreed with this plan. To them, Yu Xia must be very strong to have survived being hunted by so many.

“You guys decided a plan like this without asking my opinion?” She was supposed to help them escape? What a joke! It’s good enough that she didn’t kill them!

“Ah!”

The group screeched to a halt, looking at the girl blocking their path.

“Why are you screaming? I didn’t rape you.” Shi Sheng glared at the woman who had screamed.

“Yu Xia, move!” The woman shouted angrily at Shi Sheng.

“Why should I?” Shi Sheng tilted her head. “Weren’t you just trying to get me to draw aggro? I’m helping you.”

Who wants you to draw aggro like this?!

Shi Sheng glanced behind them and exaggeratedly exclaimed, “Oh no, they’re catching up!”

“Ah—”

A scream rang out as the last person was caught by the dark elves, lifted into the air, claws piercing their chest and ripping them to pieces, warm blood splattering on the faces of those around.

This group had over twenty people, though how they gathered was unclear.

As the dark elves pounced, the group immediately began pushing those around them as human shields.

“Miss Yu…” Pei Jin and Miao Miao approached Shi Sheng.

Shi Sheng shifted her iron sword to let them through.

Pei Jin sighed in relief, not caring about the screams behind, and quickly led Miao Miao through.

Seeing Shi Sheng make way, the others followed, only for Shi Sheng to block their path again with her iron sword.

“Yu Xia, what are you doing?”

“Collecting kills, obviously,” Shi Sheng said matter-of-factly.

How could he ask such a stupid question?

“There are dark elves behind us. If we don’t run, we’ll die,” the man said angrily. Was this woman crazy?

A few dark elves were manageable, but a whole swarm was impossible.

Shi Sheng’s lips curved into a sinister smile. “Weren’t you the one who suggested leading those things to me?”

The man instinctively replied, “You’re so powerful. Handling dark elves should be easy.”

“My power has nothing to do with you!” Shi Sheng rolled her eyes.

The screams behind grew louder as dark elves started attacking them. The man, terrified, pushed someone else towards the attacking dark elves.

That person was grabbed by a dark elf, their eyes filled with fear.

The man tried to escape but was quickly caught by a dark elf that dove down, grabbed him by the shoulder, and tore him to pieces in seconds, scattering his remains.

When most of the people were dead, Shi Sheng jumped off her iron sword, sword in hand, and charged into the dark elf swarm.

These dark elves were much tougher to kill.

By the time Shi Sheng finished off all the dark elves, her hands were sore.

Her shoulder wound began to throb.

Shi Sheng shook her hand to ease the pain, then collected the black cards from the bodies before starting to gather dark elf crystals from the ground.

Despite the large number of dark elves, only a few crystals were intact, most being shattered.

Shi Sheng looked at the glowing crystals in her hand, her eyes narrowing. The dark elves had evolved…

These crystals were much larger and more beautiful than before.

Shi Sheng tried feeding a few to her level six card, noticing it could absorb them.

Another level up?

She fed all the intact crystals to the black card.
