Chapter 1006: Unique Circumstances

Kyle went through his memories and realized how something so impossible could have happened.

'When I was attuning to the Elemental, my Spirit was slowly changing. It was adapting to the Elements of Fire, Wind, and Metal. As my mind was changing, I fell into delirium. I couldn't think clearly anymore.'

'At some point, I entered my Spirit Space and looked at my Spirit. During that moment, my mind was already mostly attuned to the Elements, while my Spirit had just started adapting. My Spirit was still mostly working with Neutral Energy, while my mind was already mostly working with Elemental Energy.'

'This created a feeling of disconnect between my mind and my Spirit. When I saw my Spirit, I felt like I was looking at someone else. I felt like I was looking at an entirely different existence. I knew it was me, but I also knew that it wasn't me.'

'That fundamental feeling of disconnect almost killed me. My mind and Spirit almost lost their connection. My mind could have separated from my Spirit, but neither part can survive without the other.'

'In fact, that's what my mind actually tried to do. It pushed Energy, representing my identity, towards my Spirit, trying to push it away. The Energy representing my identity is made of my Imposing Law.'

'However, the white anchor and the white chains block my Energy from interacting with my Spirit. My Energy tried to attack my Spirit, but instead of hitting my Spirit, it hit the white chains.'

'Breaking the white anchor requires the Spirit Lord to have an Imposing Law, and breaking the white chain requires the Spirit Lord to have an Imposing Law with 50% quality or more. My Imposing Law fulfills both requirements, and due to my unique circumstances, almost all of my Energy managed to pass through the barrier.'

'My Imposing Law broke the white anchor and the white chain in a single strike, forcefully elevating me to a Medium Spirit Lord, but at the same time, my Spirit also became susceptible to foreign Energies. This caused the Elemental Energies to rush into my Spirit.'

'The change was too fast, and my body didn't have time to adapt. My existence was breaking down. My old Spirit didn't have time to combine the old parts with the new parts. Instead, it replaced all the old parts with new parts in one go. My body was turning into pure Elemental Energy. In short, I was turning into an Elemental.'

'But then, the Elemental and my Core Spark were forcefully pulled out of my body and injected into the Demon Car. Instead of my body turning into an Elemental, the Demon Car's body would turn into an Elemental.'

'My Core Spark pulled my mind into the Demon Car, and my mind met its dormant mind, which activated a moment later.'

'If everything had continued, the Demon Car would have turned into an Elemental, and I would have been in the same position as Sebastian.'

'But then, the Demon Car mimicked the Energy fluctuations of a developing fetus, activating the Cosmos' function to add a new Spirit to its Spirit Repository. This would create an existence that was a human and an Elemental at the same time. If we wanted to, we could have forced the Demon Car to remain in the Main Dimension.'

'However, it would have still had the body of an Elemental. It would have been made of metal, fire, and wind. It would have attracted attention as soon as any powerful Demon saw us.'

'In order to deal with that, the consciousness inside the Demon Car asked for all the Elements. As long as it had access to all the Elements, it could mix and match them to create an actual body. I've done that before when I made that weasel. It's not that difficult.'

'However, the Demon Car didn't know the Laws of the Elements. It could control them to some degree, but it couldn't mix and match them to create an actual body. It knew how biology worked, but to make a body out of Elemental Energies, you also need to know all of the Minor Element Laws. You need to know how the Elemental Energies work to create a stable fusion.'

'That's why it needed access to my mind. With the limited capabilities of its mind, it couldn't have possibly stored or processed the information of eight Level Three Laws. A concept transmission would have overloaded its mind. Eventually, it would have absorbed all the information, but it would have taken a long time.'

'And we didn't have the luxury of time.'

'But my mind already knows all of this, and my mind is also far stronger than its mind.'

'Most likely, it had known that it would come to this as soon as it asked for the other Elements. It wanted to put me in front of a choice.'

'What would I choose? Would I spitefully kill myself to take the traitorous and scheming Demon Car with me, or would I sacrifice my life to give Ayuvar and my friends a chance to survive?'

'I guess it wanted proof. It wanted to see if it was worth it to sacrifice itself for me. At the same time, it also got the option to go through my memories. By going through my memories, it could see what kind of person I am.'

'Everything after that is a blur, but scattered concepts still remain. A different kind of Energy... reverting reading and writing. It created experimental life that didn't break the rules for creating artificial life. The life would conjure a Spirit, but instead of creating a full Spirit, the consciousness used individual steps to write information into the Spirit Repository.'

'It changed the target with that information, declaring my Spirit as the target. Affinities are declared by the Spirit, but the consciousness used the presence of the Comprehension Fruits as reversed orders. Instead of receiving the information of Affinities, it wrote them.'

'Humans can't have more than two Natural Affinities, and even the consciousness couldn't break that rule.'

'Yet, there's no such rule for Elementals.'

'It used the Demon Car's privileges as an Elemental to assign Affinities to my Spirit.'

'The Demon Car is an Elemental that's comprised of all eight Elementals, and I...'

Kyle looked at his hand as eight colorful balls appeared above it.

'And I'm a human with eight Affinities.'

'Fire and water.'

'Earth and wind.'

'Lightning and metal.'

'Light and darkness.'

The balls vanished again.

'I'm not supposed to exist.'

'I'm a bug in the system.'

'A system has to be developed over a long period. Unique circumstances happen almost every day. The rules of the system can deal with the vast majority of them autonomously, but when something truly unique happens, the creator of the system has to review it and change the rules and parameters.'

'So many unique circumstances have happened during this event. It was a freak accident that can't possibly be solved by the existing system.'

'The Core Spark and the Elemental.'

'The breaking of the white chain.'

'The transportation of my Core Spark into a different existence that didn't resist.'

'The addition of several Comprehension Fruits.'

'A consciousness from an Experimental World that can use Experimental Energies.'

'The current rules of the system couldn't have been prepared for all of these things to happen at the same time.'

'That's why the system needs supervision.'

'But the God isn't here.'

'He isn't looking.'
