Chapter 1053: Being Special
Chapter 1053: Being Special
Kyle did the thing he liked doing the most: Swinging his hammer. Even though he had already perfected the art of swinging a hammer, he hadn't perfected the art of being a hammer yet.
There was still a lot he could learn.
As he swung his hammer, he also sensed the Primordial Forces around him. Since this was not the Main Dimension, the Primordial Forces were much more chaotic. Humans and beasts needed a stable environment. A random wave of distorting space could cut a plant or an animal into pieces. A random distortion in time could lead to a branch dying from dehydration. A random distortion in gravity could crush mortal organs.
Living things were delicate. They needed stability. For Elementals, this stability wasn't important. So what if some part inside of them was cut into pieces? Fire, water, lightning, wind, light, and darkness would just keep flowing, while metal and earth would just fuse again. Time also didn't matter since Elementals didn't need every part of their body to survive. They would just grow a bit weaker. There also wasn't anything important that could be crushed.
The only surefire way to kill an Elemental was to disperse its Energy. By dispersing it, its Energy density would drop so far that it would just turn into scattered Elemental Energies.
The Elemental Dimension had countless distortions in the Primordial Forces. On top of that, there was basically no Neutral Energy. As the name suggested, the Elemental Dimension was filled with Elemental Energies. Mortals wouldn't be able to survive for long. Only Transcendents could survive by absorbing the simple Elemental Energies.
These distortions offered a great opportunity to comprehend the Primordial Force Laws. Since the distortions were so strange, they also often showed things that didn't naturally exist in the Main Dimension.
For example, the Fragment of Space Connection was difficult to learn in the Main Dimension since different spaces were not usually connected. Yet, in the Elemental Dimension, Elemental Energies often vanished and reappeared somewhere else without rhyme or reason.
There were also instances in which time flowed backward. These instances were short and didn't impact vast spaces, but they existed.
As Kyle kept swinging, the Primordial Force Energies flowed through his body. He didn't have a Natural Affinity for them, but the Law Comprehension Fruits still made them feel familiar to him.Kyle watched the spectacle without thinking. He just kept swinging his hammer.
Sometimes, he saw portions of space being compressed, and whenever he witnessed such an event, the strikes of his hammer changed. The space around his hammer was compressed to the limit.
Then, he saw time slowing down. In response, his hammer swung much slower, even though he was still swinging with all of his power.
Gravity spun, creating a domain of chaotic gravity. Kyle's hammer mimicked the domain, but it couldn't affect its surroundings to a considerable degree.
As he watched the displays, he could feel chaos and order. The Primordial Forces were chaotic in the Elemental Dimension, but that didn't mean that there was no logic behind their actions. They were free, and this freedom allowed them to flow naturally. Of course, this natural flow seemed chaotic to an inexperienced onlooker, but to Kyle, it was already starting to make sense.
Kyle swung his hammer again and again. His surroundings were distorting more and more as he incorporated more concepts.
The hammer swung slowly, but it reached its target faster than normal.
The hammer was still winding up for a strike, but the strike had already finished.
The Energies around the hammer were repelled and attracted at the same time, keeping them in an intense stasis.
Kyle consumed more fruits.
He kept swinging.
There were no words inside his mind. He wasn't thinking about anything in particular. He was like a man who was witnessing the most beautiful sunset in his life. He didn't think about how beautiful it was or what led to this display.
No, he just looked at it and enjoyed it, taking it all in.
More fruits. More swinging. More fruits. More swinging.
The cycle repeated several times.
BANG!
Kyle stopped swinging as he felt his surroundings changing. For just a moment, he believed that the Overseer had found him, but then he noticed that the barrier inside his Spirit Space had been destroyed.
Naturally, Kyle hadn't stopped attacking the barrier. He had slowly whittled it down without noticing, and now, it finally broke.
Earlier, his Spirit had been a chaotic ball of Energy, which had been kept at bay by the barrier.
Yet, as he looked at his Spirit Space now, Kyle could only see a cloud of Energy around him. The ball, representing his Spirit, was nowhere to be seen. Instead, there was just white mist everywhere.
As Kyle's illusory body interacted with the mist, he felt a deep sense of familiarity.
'My Spirit,' he thought as a whisp of white mist flowed through his fingers. 'It has lost its form, but it's still there. The chains and the barrier are gone, allowing it to flow as freely as the Energies in the Elemental Dimension.'
At the same time, he also felt his perception expanding once again. Once more, it doubled in size.
Now, Kyle's Energy Sense had a radius of 64 million kilometers.
The three anchors were gone.
The two chains were gone.
The barrier was gone.
It had only been 11,000 years since he had become a Spirit Lord. Yet, within this short timeframe, he had gone all the way to the Unique Domain Realm.
He was a Unique Spirit Lord now.
If he were still part of Humanity, he would be granted permission to become an Ascendant.
He still had almost 140,000 years of longevity left!
Based on his total longevity, he still had 70% of his life ahead of him.
'Now, I have to become a Legendary Spirit Lord, but I'm not entirely sure how to become one,' he thought. 'It's different for everyone. I need to do something that elevates my Spirit. I need to do something that pulls my Spirit into physical reality. At least, I think that's what I have to do.'
'I mean, it makes sense, right? When I became a Legendary Primal, all of my Clusters vanished. When I became a Legendary Crusher, my Center vanished. I mean, I still technically have a Center, but it doesn't have any walls. It's just a Core now.'
'When I became a Legendary Sage, my mind didn't vanish. It's still where it used to be, but that's because a mind and a Spirit are intrinsically connected. One can't exist without the other.'
'So, if I can pull my Spirit out of the Spirit Space and into my body, I should be able to become a Legendary Spirit Lord.'
'Not to toot my own horn, but I think I'm pretty talented. I just need to do something special, right? Well, I have plenty of special things.'
'I'm just not sure what I should do.'
