Chapter 1052: Moving Out
Chapter 1052: Moving Out
Kyle searched for a Spacetime Darkness Elemental next and attacked it as well. The difficulty hadn't changed. Even though his Elemental's Law of Hammer was growing steadily in power, the actual power of Kyle's attacks remained basically unchanged.
He was already using 99% of his Energy. The difference between 99.0% and 99.1% was minuscule. One would expect that some magical change would happen as one approached 100%, but that wasn't the case. The magical change would only happen when someone reached exactly 100%.
For the next 400 years, Kyle struck the Spacetime Darkness Elemental, and finally, he comprehended the Law of Spacetime Darkness.
After killing the Elemental, Kyle went over his insights.
'My Elemental's Law of Hammer has reached 91%, but that's nothing when compared to my Elemental Laws.'
'I've finally finished all eight Elemental Level Five Laws! All the Spacetime Elements are done!'
Kyle remembered the time he had shown his power to the leaders of Humanity.
Back then, he had said that he only needed the eight Level Five Laws to become an Immortal.
Combine all the Laws of an Element from Level One to Level Five. That makes eight Level 5.5 Laws. Infuse four Level 5.5 Laws, and you get four Infused Level Six Laws, leaving four Level 5.5 Laws. Combining two each creates two very strong Level Six Laws. Combine both of them, and you have a weak Level Seven Law. Fuse it with a powerful Imposing Law, and you have a Level Eight Law.
With that, all prerequisites for becoming an Immortal were met. With Kyle's current Laws, he could become an Immortal. If the Overseer were still a Peak Ascendant, that would definitely be enough to kill them. Even with all of their fancy Laws, the gulf between Realms would be too massive to overcome. Well, if Kyle were weaker, it would be possible.
Sadly, Kyle knew that betting on that possibility was too risky. He had to assume that the Overseer was an Immortal.
Unfortunately, that made things harder.
Much, much harder.
After all, he wouldn't get the chance to become an Immortal. The Overseer would sense it, and they would kill Kyle during his advancement.
In the worst-case scenario, Kyle needed to kill the Immortal Overseer as a mere Ascendant, and since the Overseer probably knew every single Law that existed in Ayuvar...
It was basically impossible.
Unless Kyle broke all conventions. The only way that would give him even the tiniest chance of victory was to push his Imposing Law to 100%. Not only would that allow him to become a Unique Ascendant, but it would also increase his power drastically.
Sadly, even that might not be enough, and that was assuming that Kyle had already comprehended all the Level Seven Laws that were available in Ayuvar.
'Still a long way to go,' Kyle thought as he looked at his Elemental. 'But for now, I should focus on my Elemental. I finally don't have to deal with this insane gulf between Realms anymore.'
Kyle gathered his insights into the Laws of Spacetime Elements and activated Star Genesis' Formation Array. Waves upon waves of Spacetime Elemental Energy washed over the Elemental, and it absorbed all of them. Since Kyle knew all of the Laws, he could finally upgrade his Elemental.
Just like last time, his Elemental became much smaller as all of its Energies changed. The quantity of its Energy was turning into quality. Luckily, with the addition of the Formation Array, the Elemental also quickly started growing again.
After just a couple of hours, the Elemental had officially reached the Initial Wisdom Fire Realm. It was no longer a Secondary Existence. It had officially become a Primary Existence.
'Nice,' Kyle thought as he ordered his Elemental to consume a bunch of other Elementals. Since Elementals were so simple, it was super easy and fast to grow. Within a negligible amount of time, Kyle's Elemental had already reached the Peak Wisdom Fire Realm.
'I could go for the Major Elements next, but I'm not sure that's smart. The Major Elements combine all of the Primordial Forces, and they combine them in a much more complex way. Sebastian has an insane Affinity for Lightning, and he still isn't done with comprehending the Law of Major Lightning.'
'I've advanced a lot since the last time I looked at the actual Primordial Force Laws. Since the Formation Array that changed them is also broken, I can also catch up on the concepts that I've missed.'
Kyle looked at his Soul Space and saw a mountain of Law Comprehension Fruits. 'I'm so fucking glad that I snagged so many of those. There are probably no plants left in the Main Dimension. If I hadn't stocked up, I would be shit out of luck.'
"Hey, Sebastian," Kyle said, looking at Sebastian, who was currently focusing on controlling his Elemental.
"Huh, what?" Sebastian asked, his eyes regaining clarity.
"It's been nice living with you, but I think it's best if we part ways now," Kyle said.
"Oh, sure. Gimme a second," Sebastian said.
Kyle blinked a couple of times. "You don't want to know why?"
"Of course I do, but you're going to tell me anyway," Sebastian said with a small smirk. "Why ask?"
Kyle chuckled a bit. "I want to swing my hammer a bit more, and it's better when my body actually fills out the Elemental's empty space. I also don't want to feel like I constantly have to be careful about how I move."
"That's about what I've expected," Sebastian said. "Sure, as soon as my Elemental gets back, I'll be gone. I can also hide inside of it without issues."
"Where can I find you?" Kyle asked.
"My y- and z-axis won't change by more than ten million kilometers. I'll only move on the x-axis," Sebastian explained.
"And how do you define these axises?" Kyle asked.
"It's axes."
"I know, but that sounds dumb. Neither of us swing axes."
Sebastian snorted a quick laugh. "West to east. I won't go north or south. I won't go up or down. Only west and east."
"Sure," Kyle said.
The two of them talked until Sebastian's Elemental was here. A moment later, Sebastian jumped into his Elemental, and then he charged towards the east.
Now, Kyle was alone again, but he didn't feel lonely. As long as Sebastian was still there, he wouldn't be alone. They might not share the same space right now, but they were still sharing the same time.
Kyle's body enlarged until he filled out the Elemental. 99% of the Elemental was inside the big hammer. The remainder just formed a thin shell around Kyle.
In this way, Kyle could swing his actual hammer, which was his Elemental.
A moment later, he pushed three different Law Comprehension Fruits into his maw, gaining a temporary Affinity for Space, Time, and Gravity.
His instincts told him that he shouldn't restrain himself. He shouldn't focus on comprehending one aspect at a time.
He felt like he should just let go.
Just let his mind work.
Just keep improving.
Just keep going.
Kyle paused for a moment to gather his thoughts.
And then...
He swung his hammer.
