Chapter 1146: Value of Energy Stones

Two Grade Nine Energy Stones. That was quite a big sum of money. One had to remember that most Energy Stones were made by gathering Energy, and the Realm of the Seeker generating them decided the Grade. Even more, the time one needed to invest in generating the Energy Stone increased with the level of the Seeker's existence.

The Grades didn't perfectly match one's Realm. For example, the Compression Realm was the Sixth Realm, but a Crusher could only create Grade Five Energy Stones. A Crusher would need to gather Energy for a hundred years to create one Grade Five Energy Stone.

Yet, to create a Grade Six Energy Stone, a Sage wouldn't need a hundred years but a thousand years since they were a Primary Existence. The Energy inside a Grade Six Energy Stone was also much denser.

An Immortal could create a Grade Nine Energy Stone only after investing 10,000 years in gathering Energy. Of course, it was important to note that the time necessary was based on the start of a Realm. While a New Immortal would need to invest 10,000 years, a Minor Immortal would probably only need 5,000 years or so.

Two Grade Nine Energy Stones were worth 20,000 years of a New Immortal's time. This would put the value of a Grade Nine Energy Stone hundreds of thousands of times higher than the value of a Grade Eight Energy Stone.

Luckily, supply and demand favored the buyer when it came to Grade Nine Energy Stones. Grade Nine Energy Stones were more valuable than Grade Eight Energy Stones, but not by that much. There were three reasons for this.

First, Immortals didn't suffer from limited longevity. They could technically invest as much time as they wanted into making them. Generating Energy Stones in the Universe Realm was a valid way to make money.

Second, the Immortal Dimension was brutal. While there were safe cities where fighting was forbidden, the world outside of these safe cities was cutthroat. The culture in the Immortal Dimension resembled beast culture quite a lot. It was normal to just attack someone, assuming the levels of both parties were similar. Without sufficient Battle-Strength, leaving a city would be suicide. Because of that, many New and Beginner Immortals spent their time creating Grade Nine Energy Stones.

Third, and this might be surprising, there were far more Immortals than Ascendants in the Supreme World. At first, this might sound counterintuitive, but only if one didn't consider all of the Primary Worlds. While the Supreme World was bigger than all of the other worlds combined, the Primary Worlds were better at creating Immortals. Even more, the Primary Worlds experienced time at ten times of its usual speed. Additionally, since Immortals didn't suffer from longevity issues, they didn't die as quickly.

There were gigantic cities in the Immortal Dimension that held millions or billions of Immortals, and many of them focused on creating Energy Stones. In the Immortal Dimension, the cowardly tended to live longer than the brave, which was why there were so many cowardly Immortals who focused on creating Energy Stones.

This made Grade Nine Energy Stones relatively cheap, but only to a certain extent. In the end, the total amount of Energy inside of them was only about a thousand times higher than the total amount of Energy inside a Grade Eight Energy Stone. Due to this difference in Energy, the value of a Grade Nine Energy Stone could never fall below the thousandfold value of a Grade Eight Energy Stone. If it did, people would just take Grade Nine Energy Stones, turn them into Grade Eight Energy Stones, and sell them for a profit.

Sadly, neither Kyle nor Sebastian had any Grade Nine Energy Stones. After all, how were they supposed to get their hands on them in Ayuvar? There had been only one Immortal, and that Immortal hadn't focused on making Energy Stones.

"We don't have Grade Nine Energy Stones," Kyle answered. "We do have Immortal Metals. How much do you need?"

"The equivalent of two Immortal Metal Elementals," Valien answered.

"That's a lot of metal," Kyle commented with furrowed brows. He remembered how one Immortal Metal Elemental could have equipped millions of Ascendants with weapons. Immortal Metal Elementals were not small.

"The time of an Immortal is valuable," Valien answered. "As a Fulfilled Ascendant, you can travel to the Elemental Dimension and kill Immortal Metal Elementals, and with just one successful hunt, you can earn what a New Immortal needs 10,000 years to earn. On the flip side, entering the Elemental Dimension also poses a significant risk to an Ascendant since the Elemental Dimension supports all Elementals, including the strongest ones in existence. High risk, high reward."

Kyle looked at his Soul Space. He knew that he needed some money, which was why he had hunted a couple of Immortal Metal Elementals before leaving Ayuvar. However, he had only hunted about a hundred of them. Additionally, he also had about 8,000 Grade Eight Energy Stones, which could be exchanged for eight Grade Nine Energy Stones.

He had believed that his Immortal Metals would be more valuable. He had expected that he had Immortal Metals with an equivalent value of tens of thousands of Grade Nine Energy Stones. Sadly, he only had about a hundred Grade Nine Energy Stones in the form of Immortal Metals and about eight in the form of Grade Eight Energy Stones. This meant his net worth was only a bit above a hundred Grade Nine Energy Stones.

This probably didn't count for a lot in the Immortal Dimension.

Kyle frowned before he handed over a mountain of Immortal Metals. Valien inspected the Immortal Metals for a moment before he retrieved two Grade Nine Energy Stones, which he put into the Teleportation Formation Array. At the same time, the owner of the Planet handed several Grade Eight Energy Stones to Valien.

"The destination is set to Mountain Base," Valien explained. "Mountain Base is a Planet dedicated to recruiting Rogue Seekers for the Wargod's Peak. You will not be forced to join them directly, but you will be forced to attain identification. You may enter the central Teleportation Formation Array."

"Thank you," Kyle answered as Sebastian nodded. Then, the two of them walked into the Teleportation Formation Array, which activated moments later.

The Grade Nine Energy Stones within the Energy Source shrank as the Teleportation Formation Array siphoned Energy out of them. As the white mist of teleportation gathered around Kyle and Sebastian, the first Grade Nine Energy Stone completely vanished.

A tremendous storm of Energy washed over the Planet as the Teleportation Formation Array operated near its limits. These were not just normal Ascendants but Fulfilled Ascendants. It needed to use everything to facilitate teleportation.

The second Grade Nine Energy Stone shrank to a tenth of its size, and when Valien saw that, his brows furrowed. At most, he had expected that they would need one Grade Nine Energy Stone to teleport the two of them. Yet, even the second Grade Nine Energy Stone had nearly vanished.

BANG!

Finally, the Teleportation Formation Array teleported Sebastian and Kyle to Mountain Base. The teleportation had worked, but when the Head of the local Organization saw the state of his Teleportation Formation Array, he took a horrified breath.

Several Connections showed signs of misuse. Even more, the teleportation had consumed 1.98 Grade Nine Energy Stones! He had just given the Immortal Inspector 700 Grade Eight Energy Stones as change!

This meant he had lost almost 700 Grade Eight Energy Stones during this encounter!

Valien wasn't sure why the Teleportation Formation Array had used so much Energy to teleport the two Ascendants. It was almost like they had teleported twice the number of Avatars.

Luckily, Kyle had used his Law of Primordial Forces to help the Teleportation Formation Array. Otherwise, it would have needed even more Energy.

After all, Kyle was here with six Avatars, while Sebastian had four. Their weapons counted as Avatars. Even more, as a Legendary Ascendant, Kyle had far more Energy than a Fulfilled Ascendant. If he hadn't pushed his External Complex Law to the limit, the teleportation would have failed.

Valien became suspicious when he saw what had happened.

However, even if the two Ascendants were suspicious, they were no longer the problem of the Array of Star. They were now the Wargod's Peak's problem.
