Chapter 1205: Geyser
Chapter 1205: Geyser
"We're digging here," Green transmitted to the leader of the Mud Digger Team.
"We're not looking for a fight."
The Mud Digger Team didn't immediately answer. Kyle and Abyssal Depths slowly flew closer to the surface in case the other team decided to attack.
"We're also searching for a place to dig," the leader of the Mud Digger Team answered. "Non-aggression pact?"
"Sure," Kyle answered.
The two leaders made their promises, and the non-aggression pact was established.
"Are you willing to form a temporary information-sharing pact?" the leader of the Mud Digger Team asked.
"Sure," Kyle answered. "I promise that Team Ankylosaurus will temporarily share information if it concerns the survival of the Mud Digger Team. This will stay in effect until Team Ankylosaurus moves on. All promises are subject to a degree of reasonability."
The leader of the Mud Digger Team swore the same promise. Their members gave a quick greeting to Kyle's team before moving along.
"We have our first information-sharing pact," Kyle commented with a smile.
"It might prove useful," Abyssal Depths commented.
"I'm no longer useless!" Sebastian transmitted with a smile. "They might've attacked us if I hadn't noticed them beforehand."
"I never said you're useless," Kyle replied.
"I know, but you've thought it," Sebastian answered with a small smirk.
"I did not," Kyle answered. "Seriously, I don't think you're useless. You're like one of the very few guys that manage to surprise me again and again. I'm sure you'll surprise me again in the future."
"Past results do not predict future developments," Sebastian commented with a small sigh.
"History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes," Kyle answered.
Sebastian didn't really answer. In truth, he was the member of the team that believed the least in him. Abyssal Depths had stopped doubting him when he had fought that one Adept Immortal, while Kyle had never truly doubted him.
'I really need to find something that makes me more useful,' Sebastian thought. 'Abyssal Depths knows a lot about the Immortal Dimension and is quite powerful. Kyle is useful for multiple reasons. Meanwhile, what can I do? I can just buy time and look around.'
Sebastian sighed. 'Melanie, what would you tell me to do?'
While Sebastian thought about his options, Kyle and Abyssal Depths kept digging. After around an hour, they reached a depth of a million kilometers. They hadn't found any valuables yet.
"This Planet is harder than I had expected," Kyle commented. "My progress has slowed down considerably."
"It will only get worse," Abyssal Depths commented. "We haven't even reached the dangerous part yet."
Kyle kept digging deeper and deeper.
"Gravity Water storm," Abyssal Depths transmitted to Kyle without urgency. "Keep the walls stable."
Kyle wasn't exactly sure what Abyssal Depths meant, but he got his answer pretty quickly.
Several alerts went off on the surrounding Formation Arrays. The alerts were warning Kyle that the lower part of the hole was experiencing strong forces. In response, Kyle and Abyssal Depths moved upward.
BANG!
The very bottom of the hole froze over and exploded into a storm of ice. The ice crystals gathered into a sphere and compressed further. At the same time, a storm of freezing steam shot out of the broken bottom of the hole, shooting towards the surface. It was like Kyle had hit a highly pressurized pipe that was filled with water.
The storm of Gravity Water washed over Kyle and Abyssal Depths harmlessly. Even though it had a high density of Energy, its quality wasn't very high. Gravity Water was a Level Four Law, and even quite a few Crushers could comprehend it. Yet, this storm was so dense that it could even pose a danger to a New Sage.
"Do we stop it?" Abyssal Depths asked calmly via voice transmission. While the wave of Gravity Water was quite fast, it couldn't compete with their speeds. They could still catch up to it and suppress it with their powers.
"Not sure what we should do in this scenario," Kyle transmitted back.
"Can you turn Gravity Water Energy into Vortexes?" Abyssal Depths asked.
"I haven't tried that yet. I don't have a plan for such a Formation Array, but it shouldn't be too difficult," Kyle answered.
"Then, now's the moment to try," Abyssal Depths suggested. "Stopping the stream in the middle of the hole might put more pressure on the hardened walls. The force needs to be transformed or allowed to continue. The only surefire way to transform it is to turn the Energy into something else. If we can't do that, we need to let it keep going, but that will attract quite a lot of attention."
Kyle could see what Abyssal Depths was talking about. Such an intense stream of Gravity Water would shoot out of the ground like a gigantic geyser, creating a monumental water stream that would stretch into the sky for thousands of kilometers. Due to the Planet's significant size, this display would still be noticeable from a distance of over a hundred million kilometers.
'Yeah, well, we don't really have another choice,' Kyle thought. 'Luckily, the walls are hard enough to withstand the stream.'
"Wait, what's that stream?" Sebastian asked in the Excursion Lobby as his scouting Avatar noticed the stream approaching from below him.
"An unwanted signal flare," Kyle answered. "Just let it continue. If you stop it, you might break the walls and cause a cave-in."
Sebastian looked with some worry at the approaching stream. "Sure thing, boss."
Kyle felt a sense of déjà vu but ignored it. A moment later, Red and Blue summoned several materials. They had to come up with a way to turn Elemental Energies into Vortexes. Sadly, Kyle didn't know how Vortexes worked exactly. What made them Vortexes?
'No idea where to start,' Kyle thought. 'Luckily, I'm not alone.'
While Red and Blue acted like they were trying to come up with a solution, a great distance away, White went to a gathering hall in the Auxiliary Manufacturing Plant 8 of the Elemental Branch. At this moment, several Immortals were discussing Formation Arrays with a False Immortal. The False Immortal was using his Specialization to boost his mind, allowing him to solve problems much faster. The Immortals were paying the False Immortal to think of potential solutions to some of their problems.
"Hey, can you tell me how I can turn Gravity Water Energy into a Gravity Water Vortex?" Kyle asked some of the gathered Immortals.
"Why?" one of them asked with a raised brow. "That's a waste of time and Energy. Nobody needs Gravity Water Vortexes."
"Mainly for practice," White answered. "I can give you some materials in exchange."
"Deal!" a guy from the side interjected.
While White handed over the materials, the stream of Gravity Water broke through the top of the hole and shot into the atmosphere. As expected, it caused a huge commotion.
"It's actually pretty simple," the Immortal told White. "Vortexes are basically just lifeless Elementals. You can also call them failed Elementals. They can gather Elemental Energies like Elementals, but they can't act. You could also say that they're braindead Elementals. Their body works, but their mind doesn't exist."
"And how do I turn Elemental Energies into brain-dead Elementals?" White asked.
"Do you want the answer directly, or do you want me to point you in the right direction?" the Immortal asked.
"Just give me a hint," White answered.
"Simulate the Elemental Dimension. The Energy will try to form an Elemental but fail, creating a Vortex. How you can simulate the Elemental Dimension is something you should find out yourself. If you find a way, you can use that method to turn all Elemental Energies into Vortexes up to the Major Elements. The Immortal Elements and stronger ones act differently."
"Thanks," White answered.
Meanwhile, Team Ankylosaurus looked at the grand display of Gravity Water with some worry.
There was no way nobody had noticed this.
