Chapter 1206: Extended Family

"Hey, just so you know, that geyser is from us. You might want to stay away for a while," Green transmitted to the Mud Digger Team.

"Understood," the Mud Digger Team replied. "If you unearth a large underground cave, you can ask us for support. We can share the valuables evenly."

"We might accept that offer later," Green answered.

Red and Blue summoned several materials and tried to think of a way to simulate the Elemental Dimension.

'Vortexes can also appear in the other Dimensions. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen one in the Elemental Dimension. The Elemental Dimension barely has any Pure Energy. Maybe that's the thing. We've also seen Vortexes near that one Planet.'

Red and Blue constructed a large Formation Array that pulled Pure Energy out of an area. The Gravity Water passed through the Formation Array, and Kyle noticed some subtle changes. Sadly, there were still no Vortexes.

'Not big enough,' Kyle thought as he enlarged the Formation Array. The changes became more pronounced, but there were still no Vortexes.

'The Energy is too dense. As far as I know, the Elemental Energies in the Elemental Dimension aren't this dense unless they're inside an Elemental. I need to lessen the density and decrease the speed.'

Blue traveled to the bottom of the hole and created a barrier with his Energy, suppressing the geyser. As long as he suppressed it near the bottom, the walls wouldn't take a lot of damage. At the same time, Red created a long pipe with a Barrier Formation Array. The entrance of the pipe was narrow, but the pipe itself grew wider and wider as it progressed.

Blue opened a small hole in his barrier, and a dense stream of Gravity Energy shot into the narrow pipe. Moments later, he blocked the stream again. The Gravity Water that was inside the pipe lost its source of acceleration, and as its available space widened, it lost speed and density.

The Gravity Water entered the area that was isolated from Neutral Energy and slowly moved through it. The Energy changed more, but it still didn't form any Vortexes.

'The Elemental Dimension is not without Energy. I need to add more Elemental Energies,' Kyle thought.

Red created some Formation Arrays that created temporary versions of willless Elemental Energies. These Energies couldn't be harvested, but they also didn't need to be. They were just there to simulate a specific environment.

'It's working!' Kyle thought with a grin as he saw little swirls forming. He tried harvesting one of them, but they simply dissipated into Gravity Water Energy. 'Right, I need to actually touch them.'

Red created another Formation Array near the top, which funneled all of the Vortexes upward. Then, he simply stood on top of the funnel. All of the Vortexes hit his legs, and Kyle directly forwarded them into his Soul Space.

'That's amazing! I can harvest over a hundred Vortexes per second with this, and I haven't even refined my setup. I'm pretty sure I can push the output even more.'

"Another team has shown up," Abyssal Depths transmitted to Green. She had already traveled to the entrance of the mine to make sure that Sebastian wouldn't be killed before Kyle arrived.

'Fuck!' Kyle thought. Blue was currently busy suppressing the bottom of the hole while Red was harvesting Vortexes and keeping the Formation Arrays running with his Energy.

"Give me a moment!" Green transmitted as Red redirected the Formation Arrays to Blue. At the same time, Red also created a pipe out of Barrier Formation Arrays, which redirected the Vortexes to Blue.

"Another team," Abyssal Depths transmitted.

"Coming!" Kyle transmitted back as Red shot towards the surface.

Luckily, Red arrived before any kind of battle had started. Most likely, the other teams were just here to scout.

Red looked at the Elemental Energy Sensing Formation Array and noticed that there were more teams around them. It was just that these other teams were further away.

"There are probably over ten teams near us," Kyle transmitted to the others as they looked around.

Abyssal Depths and Sebastian were nervous. They could only see three teams, and these teams were not weak.

One of them had five Adept Immortals, while another one had four.

"Do you have an escort, Team Ankylosaurus?" one of the Adept Immortals from one of the teams asked them.

Sometimes, stronger teams protected weaker teams in exchange for a share of their loot. Team Ankylosaurus was pretty weak, considering where they were. Such a weak team would have it difficult to come to this Planet without being intercepted by another team. This meant that Team Ankylosaurus most likely had a stronger team backing them.

"We do not have an escort," Kyle transmitted.

The Adept Immortal glanced at Kyle with furrowed brows. "Do you have the authority to make that claim?" he asked.

"I'm the leader, yes," Kyle answered.

The Adept Immortal glanced at Abyssal Depths. They had an Adept Immortal in their ranks, but she wasn't the leader?

'He seems surprised that I'm the leader,' Kyle thought. 'I think this team doesn't know about my conversation with the Protector.'

Kyle glanced at the readings of his Formation Array. 'Some of the teams have to know about my conversation, but this team doesn't. Are they using this team to test the waters?'

"Do you want us to escort you?" the Adept Immortal asked. "We will deal with the present teams in exchange for 80% of the valuables gathered here."

Kyle's brows furrowed. It was more than clear that this team wasn't here to help them. They just wanted the stuff in the underground cave.

"What's your choice?" Abyssal Depths asked Kyle. "The teams around us have probably already come to an agreement. If we don't agree, they will most likely attack. The only reason why they haven't attacked yet is that they're unsure about you due to your conversation with the Protector. Although it might also be due to this team's affiliation. They're part of Extended Family."

Kyle looked at the team they were currently conversing with.

Title: Rock Turner Team.

Power: Adept Immortal.

Affiliation: Extended Family (Members).

Kyle had heard about Extended Family before while investigating Wild's Summit with Green. Extended Family was a Lower Supreme Organization. They had a couple of Lords and thousands of Immortals. The way they earned money was a bit... special.

Instead of granting their members resources, Extended Family demanded resources from their members. Naturally, there was a good reason why Extended Family had so many members despite asking for a membership fee.

Protection and unity. Extended Family would protect their members, even if it cost them Karmic Luck. However, they would only do so if their members were attacked first. If one of their Adept Immortal Teams were attacked by another Adept Immortal Team, Extended Family would ask other teams to search for that team and make life very difficult for them.

It didn't matter whether or not it had been a fair fight. Anyone who dared to initiate an attack on one of their teams would face difficulties. Extended Family even went against true members of Higher Supreme Organizations. They wouldn't outright kill them, but they would find other ways to make trouble for them.

False intel, telling a competing Organization their location, stealing natural resources from under their nose, spreading rumors, following them...

Angering Extended Family would come with unending trouble. Even if one dealt with an associated team of theirs in pure self-defense, problems might still occur. One could never be sure with them.

This was why people paid to be part of Extended Family. Being a member of Extended Family represented a high degree of safety. Excursion Teams could traverse the Immortal Dimension without having to fear other Excursion Teams.

'The smart choice is to accept the offer,' Kyle thought. 'Messing with Extended Family can end really badly.'
