Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 1210: Team Wooly Sheep

Chapter 1210: Team Wooly Sheep

Kyle looked at the team.

Title: Team Wooly Sheep.

Power: Adept Immortal.

Affiliation: Unaffiliated.

'An unaffiliated team. That's pretty rare,' Kyle thought. 'Wonder why they decided to stay unaffiliated.'

Based on what Kyle could see, the team wasn't anything special. Most of their auras were average. The only one who had a stronger aura was the sole Beginner Immortal, funnily enough. In fact, her aura was surprisingly strong. It was about as intense as Sebastian's aura, and he could almost jump a level.

Their Leader was a red-haired and fiery lady. Her appearance and aura definitely didn't fit the harmless name of her team. The other three Adept Immortals had differing auras. One of the guys seemed calm and resolute, while the other guy seemed carefree. The last Adept Immortal was a woman with a darker disposition. Her aura seemed similar to Abyssal Depths' aura.

The Beginner Immortal was also a woman, and she seemed quite radiant and friendly. Just based on her aura, Kyle could tell that she had Affinities for Water and Light.

'Ankylosaurus probably didn't mind other herbivores. There's strength in numbers,' Kyle thought.

"We're interested, but we need more information before we can make a decision," Kyle answered.

The Leader pointed to the calm guy with brown hair. "He knows several Formation Arrays useful for harvesting Vortexes and similar materials. If we work together, we're willing to take on the burden of Vortex harvesting."

Then, she pointed at the Beginner Immortal, but instead of introducing her, the Beginner Immortal stepped forward with a smile.

"Hello, my title is Spring of Joy, and I'm a rookie Guide focused on guiding newer teams," she transmitted with a bright voice. "I've been in the Immortal Dimension for 15 million years, and I've been part of over a hundred Excursions. I must state that I am not a permanent member of Team Wooly Sheep, but for this Excursion alone, I act as one. I will offer you my experiences if you agree to a temporary alliance."

Kyle blinked a couple of times. "15 million years?" he transmitted, trying to keep his question as non-hostile as possible. His actual question was how she could still be a Beginner Immortal after such a long time.

'No wonder her aura is that strong. With so much time, she has probably perfected her current setup of Laws. She also doesn't carry a weapon, which means that she has transitioned to using her self for her Imposing Law. With so much time, she has probably also made significant progress.'

Naturally, as an experienced Immortal, Spring of Joy saw the hidden question. "A Guide rarely joins battle. Having more power can be a detriment to the team since it will count towards the team's level. Since I specialize in newer teams, I keep my Realm low."

When talking to Spring of Joy, Kyle felt a certain feeling of calm and trust. 'As a rookie Guide, she probably has to evoke such feelings in people. It's probably hard to find any success as a Guide if everyone's intimidated by you.'

Then, the Leader pointed at the other two Adept Immortals. "They have retained their Weapon Imposing Laws, as you can see. They own World Weapons and have pushed their Imposing Laws to a quality of 93%. They will act as powerful defenses for us."

'This is the first time I've seen someone with a Weapon Imposing Law above 90% quality. I guess they can reach this level with their World Weapons,' Kyle thought. 'Sadly, there's a hard limit to their Imposing Laws, and they know it. Without a Weapon Avatar, you can't reach 100% quality. Sooner or later, they have to switch.'

Kyle thought about their offers for a moment. They didn't need their Formation Arrays, and pulling in more people might actually make them a target. Just based on these factors, agreeing to an alliance wouldn't be a good idea.

'However, they have a Guide,' Kyle thought as he looked at Spring of Joy. 'She might not be a real Guide, but she has a lot of experience. She definitely knows things that Abyssal Depths doesn't.'

"What are the terms of the alliance?" Kyle asked.

"We will be harvesting resources here until both teams are satisfied with their gains," the Leader answered. "During the excavation and the subsequent journey back to Wild's Summit, we will act as one unit. The alliance will dissolve when everyone is back in Wild's Summit. Both teams are obligated to harvest as many resources as possible. The resources will be shared evenly."

The Leader frowned. "However, while we will help you against most attackers, our team will not support you if someone from Extended Family arrives. We can't afford to provoke them too much."

'Makes sense,' Kyle thought. 'But...'

"So, we have to help you against every enemy that wants to target you, but you won't help us against every enemy that wants to target us?" Kyle asked.

"Sadly, that is the case," the Leader answered without hesitation.

Kyle waited for a moment. "In that case, we will accept, but only if the split is 60/40, in our favor."

The Leader looked at Spring of Joy, who just nodded with a smile.

"We accept these terms," the Leader answered.

A moment later, both sides swore a temporary oath. Alliances were weightier than non-aggression pacts, which was why a promise wasn't good enough. They had to swear a temporary oath. To make sure that there were no shenanigans, the oath also had a time limit of 1,000 years and included several failsafes to ensure that it couldn't be circumvented.

After the oath was spoken, Team Wooly Sheep approached Team Ankylosaurus and joined them inside the hole.

"But before we start," Kyle said, "I have to take a look at our loot."

Team Ankylosaurus had killed two Adept Immortals, and these Adept Immortals had dropped their belongings.

"Naturally," the Leader replied.

Kyle went over to the scattered valuables and made an inventory. In the battle, he had contributed the most, which meant that he received more of the loot.

After adding up all of the valuables, the team had gained about 600 Grade Nine Energy Stones. The team's finances rose to a total of 475. Sebastian and Abyssal Depths received another 60 Grade Nine Energy Stones each. Kyle received 180 Grade Nine Energy Stones, raising his total to 283.

'Halfway there,' Kyle thought. 'I think I should let the Abyss Hammer Team focus on accumulating Energy Stones instead of investing everything into more training manuals.'

Kyle looked back at the hole. 'I hope there are some valuable things in there.'

Some seconds later, the two teams gathered inside the Gravity Water geyser.

"Can your team harvest the Vortexes?" Kyle asked. "I can fortify the walls and our defenses."

The Leader looked at her rookie Formation Array Master and nodded. He nodded back and flew into the hole. Moments later, the geyser stopped. The other members either waited beside the hole or took position inside it, making sure that nobody was secretly spying on them.

Both teams waited for almost twelve hours, which was when the geyser weakened. Digging deeper while the geyser continued would have been risky due to a potential collapse. Sometimes, an accumulation of one Element also suppressed a different Element. It was always better to wait.

In the end, the teams shared the created Vortexes. Sadly, they were not even worth a single Grade Nine Energy Stone. There were a lot of them, but they were simply not valuable enough.

The team gathered at the bottom of the hole and looked at the underground cave. These underground caves often held valuables.

"We're in luck," Spring of Joy transmitted with a smile. "There are some valuables here."

Kyle looked at the underground cave, but he couldn't see anything valuable. "Are you sure? I don't see anything."

"Come, I'll show you," she said as she entered the underground cave.
