Chapter 1042: Get On Your Knees
Chapter 1042: Get On Your Knees
Just like them, everyone present was also feeling complex emotions, they were just different in nature.
Max calmly sipped his tea before he swept his gaze across everyone and slowly said, “Some of you already know it but for those who don’t, let me tell you—I have received a very powerful and mystical legacy…”
Gu Lan’s anxiousness shot through the roof and she kept giving him a look, silently saying not to reveal it to him.
Beside Max, Zhao Ziyan let out a sigh. Just earlier, she had asked him not to tell anyone but now she was sitting there silently as he revealed the secret to everyone. But since he had decided it, what could she do but support him?
Max cast a brief glance at Gu Lan before he continued, “…It’s mystical because my cultivation increases every time I kill beasts. This is why I had gone to the forest and also why I have reached the Marrow Cleansing.”
Everyone had different reactions at the revelation.
Gu Lan let out an inward sigh of relief while Gu Ruolan looked at him in surprise because while this wasn’t what Zhao Ziyan had told her, she could tell this was also true.
‘Truly a mystical legacy.’ She mused.
Gu Rong eyes flickered with astonishment and a barely concealed glint of envy, bordering on jealousy.
Beside him, his wife, Shui Wuhen, stared at him with unconcealed shock and she unconsciously glanced at her husband before looking at him, the look in her eyes shifting slightly.
Gu Rong noticed this and a dark glint flashed in the depths of his eyes while his fists clenched tightly under the table.
Li Xiaomin stared at Max in silence, her thoughts unknown.
Lastly, Gu Yinyin’s eyes were wide open just like her mouth.
“This… Just what did you do to possess this kind of luck, Third Brother?” She muttered.
Max just smiled in response.
“Everyone,” Zhao Ziyan tapped the table after a few moments, his expression and tone grave, “There is no need for me to say this but I’ll do so anyway—No other person should ever find out about this. You all know the consequences if someone did.”
“Do you not believe us, Mother?” Gu Rong said, frowning in displeasure. “If that’s the case, you shouldn’t have let him tell us.”
Max calmly glanced at him before shifting his gaze back to his teacup.
Everyone else, however—except for Shui Wuhen, who became anxious—frowned at his words.
“If I didn’t believe you all, I indeed wouldn’t have let him reveal this. But since I did, I obviously do.” Zhao Ziyan said as she looked at him with a calm look on her face but inwardly, her heart had constricted with sadness and worry.
‘I’ll tell Chen’er to quickly find better healing medicine for him so he can recover soon. Then he won’t feel this frustration.’ She thought, obviously thinking he was acting like this because the contrast between him and Max was making him uncomfortable since he was almost a cripple now while Max was becoming increasingly dazzling.
The others also thought the same so they didn’t say much.
“Hmm.” Gu Rong grunted and then pushed himself off his chair, “Excuse me everyone. I need to rest now.”
Shui Wuhen quickly stood up to support him but Gu Rong slapped her hand away and limped out of the courtyard with the help of his wooden stick.
“B-Brother-in-law, Mother-in-laws, please don’t mind husband’s behavior. He has been depressed because of his injuries lately so…” Shui Wuhen said, then she bowed toward them and was about to rush after him when Max stopped her.
“Sister-in-law, wait for a moment. I have something else to inform you all about. Hear it out so you can tell First Brother later.”
“…Okay.” Shui Wuhen sat down.
Everyone looked at Max, waiting.
“Some people will attack the family tonight.” He slowly said and before they could start worrying, he added, “But there is nothing to worry. I have informed the Judicial Lord and he will send people to safeguard us.”
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief hearing this.
“The Judicial Lord agreed to help us? That’s quite surprising since this is not his work.” Gu Yinyin thoughtfully commented.
“Hehe, it’s because Big Brother has reached the Marrow Cleansing realm. He just wants to curry favor with us.” Gu Lan chimed in, giggling with smug pride.
Zhao Ziyan and Gu Ruolan didn’t buy this explanation but they didn’t say anything since Max didn’t want to tell them why the Judicial Lord agreed to help them.
…
A short while later, Shui Wuhen, Li Xiaomin and Gu Ruolan left. Gu Lan and Gu Yinyin wanted to stay but when Max told them to go and inform the Elders about the attack tonight, they reluctantly left.
Before they walked out, Gu Lan pouted her lips at him to show her dissatisfaction but despite that, she closed the doors after her while giving Max and her mother a knowing smirk.
“This girl… She is getting more and more unruly.” Zhao Ziyan shook her head and feigned calmness but the reddening of her cheeks betrayed her.
Max stared at her for a moment, then pushed his chair back so there was space between the table and his chair. Opening his legs, he said, “Come here Mother.”
Ba-Dum!
Zhao Ziyan’s heart skipped a beat and her face blushed red. Then she slowly placed her teacup on the table, stood up and circled around the table before standing between him and the table.
“N-Now what?” she meekly asked.
“Get on your knees.” Max softly said while grabbing her wrist and pulling her down to her knees. After all the fighting and enduring that hellish pain in the Dark Valley, he needed to relax and what better relaxing way was there than a good sex with someone you desired the most?
Thud!
Zhao Ziyan’s knees thudded on the ground.
Seeing her son’s crotch was barely a foot away from her face, her heartbeats increased. At the same time, she felt a bit confused, not knowing why he had her kneeling between his legs like this.
Max’s eyes lit when he saw her confusion because this told him she hadn’t done it before.
“Mother…” He spoke, his voice thick with desire.
