Chapter 960: Claiming her [1]
Chapter 960: Claiming her [1]
Li Xiaomin slowly raised her hand and blew on the spoon.
Seeing this, Max pulled his hand back and scooted closer to her.
When Li Xiaomin saw the expectant look on his face, a light blush appeared on her face and she felt her heart beating faster.
But she told herself that she was only feeding an ill person, so it was alright and brought the spoon to his mouth.
However, her heart began beating faster when Max didn’t break eye contact even as he ate the soup.
She wasn’t a clueless child who wouldn’t understand what this, his look, meant.
‘It’s inappropriate.’ She told herself, however, she didn’t stop and continued feeding him, gently blowing on the spoon each time and each time feeling her brother-in-law’s heated gaze on her lips.
Max inwardly nodded in satisfaction when she didn’t stop and walked away, insteading opting to only lower her gaze even as the blush on her face deepened and her breathing became heavier.
Clink!
A short while later, the bowl of soup was emptied and Li Xiaomin finally put down the spoon. As it clinked against the bowl, the tension that had built up between them seemed to break and Li Xiaomin’s face turned white.
‘I… have lost my mind. I should have left in the beginning.’ She scolded herself, feeling really bad.
Max saw her eyes reddening and tears welling up in them and sighed.
He knew the women in this world were very conservative, even more than the magic world. Because of that, he had expected this to happen, but he wasn’t willing to let her go because if he did, she would think she had done something very wrong and might take a wrong step out of guilt.
Thus, with a thought, he lifted the suppression on his charm and called out, “Sister-in-law…”
“Huh? Yes?” Li Xiaomin flinched and raised her head to look at him, but didn’t dare to meet his gaze so she looked to the side in the end.
As she waited for him to speak, she suddenly realized the conflicting thoughts, the guilt she had been feeling just a moment earlier had vanished again and she was calm.
‘What’s happening to me?’ she asked herself but got no answer because she didn’t know. This was the first time something like this was happening, it hadn’t happened even with her husband. Only in the romantic stories she had heard when she was younger something like this happened where just hearing the voice of one’s loved one could put one’s worries at ease and calm them.
His pupils constricted and her heart skipped a beat.
‘N-No, no, no. He is my brother-in-law, not my husband. His voice shouldn’t be able to give me this… sense of security, this calm. It shouldn’t…’ She told herself, her mind a mess.
“Don’t panic.” Max said before removing the tray from between them and putting it on the small beside the bed. He then shifted closer to her until their legs were almost touching and gently placed his hand on her lower thigh.
Li Xiaomin trembled and all her senses focused on the spot his hand was resting on. And to her dismay, she began feeling a heat in her lower abdomen.
“I can no longer see you depressed, wallowing in sadness.” When she heard these words and understood the hidden meaning behind them, heart thudded against her ribcage and she felt a hot, tingling sensation between her legs.
“I know my second brother’s unfortunate death has affected you the most and if we see it from the eyes of our society, your life is destroyed because he didn’t even leave you with a child. However…” Max paused and with his other hand, he gently lifted her chin so she would look at him.
The moment he began lifting her chin up, she had closed her eyes tightly, not daring to look at him.
But as silence ensued and Max, or rather, Gu Chen, didn’t remove his finger from her chin, she slowly opened her eyes and looked at him.
Gulp!
Gulping down her saliva, she asked, not knowing where she got the courage from, “However what, br–brother-in-law?”
“However, I don’t think that is the case.” Max asked.
“Why?” she asked.
“Because I’m willing to replace my second brother and give you the life you would have lived with him. In fact, I promise it would be even better, more beautiful.” he said while looking into her eyes, showing his intentions fully.
“T-This is wrong. No one will accept and—” Li Xiaomin murmured, lowering her gaze.
But Max didn’t let her finish, “Fuck everyone, think only about yourself for a moment. Do you really want to live like a half-dead person until your loneliness, sadness and pain take your life?”
“I—”
“Shhh.” Max put a finger over her lips, “I know you won’t be able to make the correct decision by yourself, so let me help.”
“Don’t say anything.” He said while moving his hand on her thigh upwards, slowly and sensually caressing it, “I can tell that you know what you should do deep within you, what can give you a better life, a better future. So let it decide. If it tells you what we are doing is wrong, stop me whenever and I promise you to not mention this ever again.”
Saying this, he stood up, parted her legs with his knee and got between them. Then he pushed her backwards onto the bed.
Li Xiaomin stared at the ceiling in a daze, her mind devoid of any thoughts, but she could feel her heart beats in her ears and could feel her body getting hotter every moment as if she was submerged in fire when in reality, this was the result of her anticipation of what was about to happen.
Max looked down and saw himself pitching a tent in his robes and felt his cock throbbing—he was burning with the desire to mate with her, claim her as his and vent out his lust inside her, this beautiful woman, his sister-in-law and taste the alluring fruit of the taboo.
