Chapter 1500: Ready for Return

The next day.

Bella, Melissa, Luna, and Vivian were eating in the dining room of their base.

While stabbing a piece of chicken meat with her fork, Bella said, "I guess we’re done. We can finally return to Gratzel. You’re coming with us, right, Luna?"

Luna nodded. "As promised, yes."

"That’s great." Vivian smiled. With Luna, they would be safer. "But how are we going to travel between continents?"

"According to Nathan, we will ride Kun. With his current size and power, he can travel between two continents just fine. Well, we can change to Peng or Garuda later, if you want fast travel, but with Kun, we should be back in three to four days." Bella explained.

"So, there’s no need for us to travel by boat anymore?" Melissa asked for confirmation.

"Nope." Bella shrugged. "Both Evelyn and Nathan claimed they could create a teleportation circle that could link the two continents."

"Seriously?" Melissa gasped.

"Yeah, but it requires a divine body or maybe even more."

"I guess we can return here in the future. The problem is, I don’t know whether I want to come back or not."

"I know, right?" Melissa smiled.

"So, Melissa. What are you going to do after this?" Bella was concerned as a senior. Now that they had destroyed the Death Society, she was worried that Melissa would lose her purpose.

Surprisingly, Melissa already had an answer prepared. "I think I want to become a royal teacher."

"A royal teacher?" Bella was quite surprised. It wasn’t a small title. However, Melissa was indeed qualified for it. On Gratzel, she could be considered a world class summoner. Her knowledge as a professor was also something no one could underestimate.

"I want to finally clean up my life. After mentoring Flora for a while, I think becoming a royal teacher is also good." Melissa smiled.

Her lover was from the royal family. So, Melissa thought about teaching the royal family.

All she had to do was clean up her messy life. After this revenge, she felt as if she could do it.

"Just don’t sleep with your student." Vivian rolled her eyes.

Normally, Melissa would refute or snap back, but this time she simply smiled. "Of course."

Vivian was startled by her response and quite embarrassed. She looked away, but the corner of her lips curved.

"Is that so? I’m really glad for you." Bella patted Melissa’s head. "Good luck."

"Yes." Melissa’s heart felt refreshed, so she could finally see everything like how she had in the past. "Now that I think about it, what are we going to do now? I mean, do we need to do something else on this continent?"

"Nathan and I are supposed to find this doctor to entrust him with my brother. Then, we will go to my family to find the alien. Do you want to meet him as well?"

Bella and the others shook their heads. They had no interest. Besides, as long as Nathan was the one hearing it, Nathan could make the plan and just tell them what to do.

And since this was the last time Luna would be here, they let her have him for herself.

"Now that I think about it, where is Nathan?" Vivian asked.

"He..." Bella turned her head to the right.

As if he were being called, a door was slammed open as Nathan’s head came out from the room. His face was already pale. He asked in a hoarse voice. "H-Help... No, wai—!"

Without wasting any more time, Nathan was dragged back to the room as the door was shut one more time.

"..." Melissa was speechless.

"This is probably the first time I’ve seen him in that state." Vivian muttered.

"Well..." Bella smiled wryly. "Apparently, Evelyn witnessed Regina’s surprise attack and got jealous. Nathan knew it and teased her. That was payback.

"Also, Nathan had promised not to touch Evelyn before the revenge was finished. So, it’s like a few months of frustration and a payback.

"Nathan usually cheated by using Anubis’ healing ability, so she didn’t give him that chance." Bella chuckled.

Vivian rolled her eyes while Melissa chuckled. Luna said, "I guess I will wait a bit more. It’s not like it will change anything. Are we going to have a party before leaving?"

Bella confirmed. "Yeah. We will hold a party since you are going to leave this continent and celebrate the destruction of the Death Society. Well, I guess Evelyn will officially disband the Sleeping Garden during the occasion.

"She originally created the Sleeping Garden after seeing how devastated I was after the Bloody Banquet. We met Revon, Neyeid, Sonia, and Christopher along the way.

"Even I didn’t expect that we would be able to go to another continent and finish our revenge."

Bella closed her eyes, recalling the gruesome few years. She might not hold the grudge as deeply as Melissa or Vivian. However, she also had her fair share of the burden.

Starting from her trying to save Evelyn after she had a second lifebound contract, to being abandoned by her family, to ending everything once and for all by creating and managing the Sleeping Garden.

Her shoulders finally felt light. Everyone had truly worked hard.

They could have died during the final assault, especially against such a monster. However, they crazily improved their strength in the past few months. Even Nathan and Evelyn had reached a whole new level.

Still, this was not the end yet.

The next goal would be the black cell. To achieve it, they might have to venture deep into alien territory. That also meant they had to investigate the Asura Palace before searching for the portals to the alien world.

The danger lurking in their path was much bigger compared to that of the Godfather. That was why it was not the time for them to put down their weapons yet.

Bella stood up. "Anyway, I’m going to prepare for the celebration. You guys can have some rest."

"I will also help. Better do something while waiting." Luna followed right after. She had her golems, so it was better if she was the one doing it.

Melissa and Vivian looked at each other. Normally, they would snort at each other or bicker, but today was a good day to rest. They didn’t say anything as they got up and followed the other two.

It was over.
