Chapter 1609: A Trap

"How is the situation over there?" Nathan asked. He was already standing in front of their next destination, the outpost. The outpost looked like a normal fortress from the outside, but there were a couple of towers on the inside.

It looked like the aliens hadn’t destroyed those towers yet. These towers must be the ones used to let the birds perch.

Nathan examined the fortress wall and showed no sign of danger.

Noelle was standing next to her, while Selena and Iris waited further away.

Luna looked at Flora and Sera. Unlike the other two groups, she was the only one going together.

"We will be the first line. In case something goes wrong, we will retreat to the first rendezvous point. Maintain a clear vision all the time. I will be the vanguard, you two will be supporting me from behind.

"If we encounter any danger, I will move in with my golems first. Is that clear?"

Luna closed her eyes to share her senses with the golems. She then saw multiple strong aliens.

"Seven elite class aliens confirmed!" Luna warned them aloud.

"!!!" Flora and Sera widened their eyes. They checked their surroundings one more time.

"Not good!" Luna shouted as the ground suddenly burst from the inside.

Luna managed to jump at the last moment, but she saw a humanoid alien right before her eyes.

Her instinct was practically telling her that this alien was dangerous.

The alien kicked Luna, but the latter managed to raise both arms first and strengthened her defense with a magic circle.

Surprisingly, the magic circle disappeared at the last moment, causing her to take the hit directly.

"Kh..." Luna gritted her teeth, feeling her bone had just cracked from a single attack.

Bam!

The kick blasted her to the ground two hundred meters away.

"Luna!" Flora and Sera panicked.

"Hurry up and regroup!" Luna ordered through the communication ring.

Suddenly, more and more aliens emerged from the buildings or the ground as if they had been waiting for this ambush.
