Chapter 1622: Immunity
Chapter 1622: Immunity
While Selena was arranging their tasks, Nathan had received some expectant gazes from his familiars.
"..." Nathan’s eyebrows twitched.
Surprisingly, Evelyn said, "My familiars will take care of the aliens. Your familiars are divine beasts. Although I shouldn’t say it like this, they’re generally stronger than my familiars. So, it’s better for your divine beasts to join us in the battle. I will have all my familiars except the two who are fusing with me to secure our safety."
Sera nodded. "I will also ask my familiars to handle it. And since I’m standing far away, I can recall them if the aliens attack my familiars. This is a way of fighting that only a summoner possesses."
"I heard you. It doesn’t sound a bad idea." Luna shouted while rushing toward the alpha class alien.
Fenrir and the others were looking at Evelyn and the others as if they were angels. They looked at Nathan, asking him to accept their proposal.
Nathan sighed. "Fine. Fenrir, Nidhogg, Jinwu, and Orochi. You four can join us. However, I want you to mainly support us. If there is any chance to attack, do it. Qilin, Mae, and Anubis. You three will be supporting us. As for Kun, you are the most unique. You’re probably the only ones whose size is big enough to handle this guy."
All the divine beasts nodded, accepting their roles.
Then, they started moving forward, closing in.
The octopus didn’t have just a few tentacles. It had a total of 25 tentacles that could be used to destroy everything in its path.
Since they were granted the opportunity to fight the alpha class aliens, they first opened the path to the alien.
Nidhogg released his breath onto the ground and created a straight line to the alpha class alien, burning everything in its path.
Jinwu soared into the sky and activated his domain before spreading the sunfire in a circle.
Orochi smashed everything in its path while spreading its poison everywhere to kill as many aliens as possible.
And Fenrir simply activated his Absolute Force and pressured anything that he passed.
The alpha class alien raised its tentacles. Five of them were sent directly to Nathan, as if it were trying to overwhelm the summoner. Fifteen of them were sent to all his familiars, Luna, Evelyn, and Sera’s familiars.
Nathan casually used his teleportation to avoid the tentacles.
"Ooohhh!" Kun dove to the ground and slammed the octopus with his body.
However, the alien skillfully grabbed Kun with its tentacles.
As if knowing it would happen, Kun turned into Peng. Peng’s size might be big, but it wasn’t as big as Kun’s. It slipped away and generated a storm all around the area, blasting away the aliens near them.
Furious, the alien sent out several more tentacles to grab Peng.
However, Peng changed back to Kun first and hit the alien with its body. The octopus couldn’t stop Kun’s weight entirely. Its body fell to the ground.
As a result, other tentacles couldn’t go for the others easily.
Nathan and the others took advantage of this opportunity to close in.
Tiamat and Nidhogg flew up. Tiamat explained, "When you utilize your chaos energy, you have to release everything at once. I don’t know if you notice it from my breath, but my breath will produce stronger force from time to time. We will release that chaos energy with our wings. Can you keep up with me?"
Nidhogg nodded with a serious expression.
He followed Tiamat to the top of the octopus.
"Ooohhh! Watch out!" Kun warned aloud. The alien had recovered more than enough to grab Kun with several tentacles and toss him away.
"Holy..." Fenrir and the others panicked when they saw Kun about to crush them.
Nathan and Evelyn activated their teleportation, bringing everyone past Kun.
Kun’s body crashed to the ground, sliding and taking out many aliens.
Meanwhile, Nidhogg and Tiamat closed their wings before spreading them all at once.
As a result, the chaotic energy they compressed burst all at once.
Bam!
The energy was so powerful that it sent a tremor kilometers away.
The ground shattered into pieces and the octopus seemed to get crushed in one way or another. Still, the octopus’ body was quite elastic, so it was able to endure such pressure.
Nathan and Evelyn teleported to Tiamat and Nidhogg. Both Tiamat and Nidhogg swung their claws, pushing Nathan and Evelyn to the ground.
When they were about to hit the octopus, they punched forward.
"Space Quake."
"Spatial Disaster."
Their attack blasted the octopus to the ground, pinning it down. The octopus sent forth its tentacles to all four of them.
Nathan and Evelyn simply teleported away, while Nidhogg and Tiamat flew up. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get away in time.
The alien reached its feet and slammed them to the ground.
Fortunately, Anubis was there, healing them right away. Qilin used his ability to dampen the impact.
Then, Mae turned into her fox form and activated her abilities, using the illusion to confuse the aliens near them.
Jinwu and Fenrir approached it from a different direction.
Jinwu sent a burst of sun flame, trying to burn it. Fenrir also took a bite of the tentacle with his Gigantification.
"Hmm?!" Jinwu and Fenrir noticed something.
"We have a problem." Fenrir squinted his eyes.
Jinwu noticed that there was no heat mark on the alien’s body. So, it meant one thing. "This alien might have immunity."
"Immunity?" Nathan frowned.
"Yes. Immunity to physical and magical attacks. That must be its special power, and that power has been strengthened by four rules." Jinwu nodded. "It doesn’t need any other abilities with that size."
"..." Nathan’s expression turned solemn. Immunity was actually much more annoying than any other ability, especially for this alien.
As Jinwu said, it didn’t need any other abilities with that size. They would be wasting their energy if they attacked the alien without any plan.
Suddenly, Orochi came with a burst of poison. "Keep attacking! Immunity is fine, but we have to keep it at bay. Let our summoner take care of the thinking part."
