Chapter 1624: Tentacles Crisis
"Incoming!" Nathan shouted.
The aliens had gone berserk. It regenerated the tentacles forcefully and sent all of them in their directions.
Fenrir and the others skillfully dodged. However, Tiamat and a few other familiars were too slow to avoid the tentacles and got blasted away.
More importantly, the octopus had recognized the reason it was in such a bad situation.
Nathan might be the one controlling the battlefield, but the ones that played the biggest role in his plan were the support groups.
Yes, if more aliens could come to its aid, the alpha class alien wouldn’t have this much trouble.
So, it sent the tentacles toward Selena’s group.
"Selena!"
Selena heard Nathan’s voice echoing across the battlefield.
"It’s coming!" Selena clenched her fist. She could see seven tentacles coming toward them.
It would be too much for her team to handle. Hence, Selena ordered them to retreat.
They were trying to get away, but the tentacles moved much faster than they expected, especially with the boost of power from the black cell.
It was trying to crush Selena.
"Tsk!" Selena clicked her tongue. They had been surrounded. The left side had three tentacles, while the right side had four. If they wanted to get away, they had to do something about these tentacles.
It would be impossible to take care of them alone, so she gritted her teeth. "How are we going to avoid them? Should we go underground? Or do we have enough firepower to at least take care of the left side?"
"We do," Nyx suddenly spoke. "I will take care of one tentacle. It should be easy."
"We need to take care of all three!" Selena shouted. "Noelle. You are with me. No, that’s only enough to stop one. We need to somehow repel it."
"In that case, I will take care of one tentacle just like that goddess." Chiyou volunteered.
"Heh. You guys are taking the juicy part, but I will still be taking the best part. I’m taking on the four in the opposite direction, just to give you enough time to leave." Bishamonten smirked.
"I will help him." Vivian and Flora raised their hands at the same time.
"Then, I will support you guys." Alavenya and Bella came forward.
Selena thought it was possible, but she had to make sure. "But are you sure you can take on one tentacle, Nyx?"
"Girl. You are underestimating true gods so much."
Nyx rose into the sky. The energy erupted from her. "Veil of the Night!"
Suddenly, the sky split open, revealing complete darkness. Then, a translucent curtain flowed down and wrapped the first tentacle.
Nyx then waved her hands down. "Sleep."
The curtain then squeezed so tight that it actually crushed the tentacle.
"What?" Selena widened her eyes. She was sure that Tiamat had a hard time destroying one before.
"The tentacle might be hard, but it’s not like the alien is too focused on those guys and can’t even spare all its power into a single tentacle." Nyx smirked.
Chiyou jumped toward another tentacle. "I may have lost, but I am not a loser. Six Divine Armaments, God Slayer!"
Chiyou swung all the sharp blades at the same time, cutting through the alien.
Bishamonten also did the same thing.
"Well, have you seen a Lucky Strike?" Bishamonten raised his spear. "300% Fortune! Luck Blessing."
Bishamonten’s eyes turned bloodshot as he stepped forward before thrusting his spear with everything he could.
The spear produced a power that surpassed Nyx and Chiyou’s attack.
Bam!
The first tentacle was blown away, crashing into other tentacles, stopping them.
Flora then raised her hand, summoning a lightning bolt that turned into a dragon upon descending through a magic circle.
Boom!
The lightning bolt pinned them to the ground.
Then Vivian activated her domain.
"Ancient Forest!"
The forest bloomed, forming both the walls to stop the tentacles and more trees that strapped the tentacles to the ground.
"Good work." Bishamonten smiled. "Now we run."
They made it look easy, but Selena understood how hard it was to do what these true gods were doing.
"Demon Killing Sword, Raging Devil." Noelle unleashed her most powerful strike at the tentacle. At the same time, Selena used the Blood Authority to burst the tentacle from the inside.
Ultimately, their attacks only managed to stop the tentacles.
Fortunately, Bella and Alavenya were there.
Since the tentacle had been stopped, she could just blast it away.
"Dragon Soaring Through the Heavens!"
"Memory Alteration!" Bella linked her power with Alavenya through the Synchronization. She used the illusion to make Alavenya’s mind believe the body had much more strength than it was supposed to.

The Dragon Fist blew the tentacle away. As expected, this was the most they could do without divine rules.
On the other side, the four tentacles had freed themselves and started bulldozing Vivian’s domain. Just like them, without any rules, the forest couldn’t withstand the alien’s tentacles.
Still, their attacks had bought them precious time.
Kun had returned to them and crashed into the four tentacles, pinning them to the ground with his massive weight. "Go, ladies."
"!!!" They nodded and rushed away. Once they were on the safe range, they noticed that the aliens started to focus on Nathan and the others.
Without waiting any time, several bullets had been fired from a very far distance. They made a parabolic movement and eventually dropped on the aliens.

The bombardment continued, blasting all the aliens that were trying to get close to Nathan.
Seeing the situation, Selena immediately said, "We need to join the fight again. This time, we will be joining from the right. I’m going to give a signal to Iris to focus the bombardment on the left. Just a bit more, and we can kill this octopus.
"Also, Nyx, Bishamonten, Chiyou. Can the three of you focus on the tentacles? We know our limits, but we still want to participate in this battle. We can only rely on you three."
"Of course." Nyx smiled. Bishamonten and Chiyou nodded in agreement.
"Then let’s go back."
