Chapter 1724: The Power of Mecha
Chapter 1724: The Power of Mecha
Flora raised her hand and formed another lightning bolt. Other ancient spirits also released their respective attacks, trying to suppress the tentacles.
Seeing this chance, Vivian also struck back. Noelle couldn’t recover from her injury, but it was alright.
She endured it all and returned to the battlefield.
These aliens had become so strong the moment they went berserk. All of them knew that there was no way for them to defeat them during berserk.
That was why their only option was to let the beast die from the berserk itself. They maintained some distance while distracting the aliens so that they wouldn’t go anywhere.
Flora had to go back and forth from one alien to another, making sure that Evelyn and Alavenya weren’t overwhelmed by their opponent.
It looked like they managed to succeed.
Because of the power of emotion, Noelle and Vivian were the first ones to trigger the berserk from their opponent. As a result, this alien was the first one to fall.
There was some time before the alien that Alavenya and Evelyn fought went berserk, allowing Flora to exhaust the first alien before jumping back and forth between the two aliens.
Eventually, the first alien died, exhausting its lifespan and energy. The huge alien fell down.
Once they solved this problem, they immediately headed to the second alien, ganging up on this alien. With more people, the group had an easier time distracting the alien.
Not long after, the second alien died.
Unfortunately, when they looked at the city, it had already been destroyed.
They couldn’t do anything about it because they didn’t know this city would be the one the aliens picked.
Numerous people lost their lives, but at the very least, they managed to contain the damage to only a single city.
This should be more than enough to let the people on this continent remain on the battlefield.
...
Meanwhile, Iris seemed to be enjoying her new power.
Boom!
A powerful attack hit the alien, stopping its attack. The alien didn’t expect another reinforcement.
"Hello everyone. Sorry for the wait!" Iris waved her hand.
Selena nodded. Since the reinforcement was here, it was time to focus on their task. "In that case, let’s see if we can kill this one. If not, we will let him run out of energy."
"Of course. Actually, look at me!" Iris grinned. She raised her hand and formed a summoning card.
"Summon!"
The summoning card turned into a humanoid form. Then, it became separated as though it had changed its shape to that of armor.
Iris then fused with this armor as its true appearance was gradually revealed.
Iris was covered in thick mechanical armor, but it only covered her legs, her arms, and her torso. There was a circle on her head as well as some accessories all over her body, but her size didn’t change. She remained like a normal student, but she was covered in parts that should only appear in gigant.
"She actually did it?" Selena glanced to the side. Iris was determined to master the summoning card, but it turned out she had gone one step further.
It looked like Nathan had helped her in creating the foundation for her armor by fusing the two paths. This way, she would have that mechanical suit while maintaining her size.
The rest of the parts had turned into something else.
Iris raised her right hand. "Calling forth the power of machines!"
Suddenly, a lance formed out of thin air. This lance was quite big, as though it had been created by stacking a few building blocks together.
This lance soon changed its shape. The handle turned into a barrel where the energy would be channeled. The blade opened in half, creating a gap where the bullet would be cultivated.
More importantly, she didn’t summon one spear. She summoned a hundred of them.
"Hahahaha. Fear the power of mecha!" Iris grinned, repeating the words Nathan said. She aimed at the alien and shot everything at once.
The guns shot out lasers. Its power was unimaginable. Even without her divine rule, she actually managed to harm the alien.
"!!!" Selena widened her eyes. She might have to readjust her judgment about her abilities.
Iris had actually gone one step further than she had expected.
What she used was the crystal fusion, but with the combination of this continent’s summoning card. In addition, she had created a lifebound contract with a god of creation.
This resulted in such massive firepower. Her familiar was the one providing the divine rule she needed to take down the alien.
In fact, Iris was probably the only one among them to have a lifebound contract with a true god.
Because of Nathan’s guidance, most of them had a lifebound contract with a divine being, but they hadn’t reached the level of true gods.
With the help of the fusion, the power was strengthened further.
Selena just didn’t expect that Iris was able to produce this much power. She muttered, "More importantly, did she actually spend all her time mastering this power instead of forming her divine rule?"
If Iris heard her question, she probably rubbed her nose while saying, "Hehehe. This is more important to me. Since I’m not going to form my divine body at the same time as all of you and have no choice but to catch up later. It’s best to start with what I like the most."
Nevertheless, she did her job perfectly. In a way, her combat power couldn’t be underestimated anymore.
Selena might want to defeat an alien like this instead of letting it die because of its own berserk, but she didn’t expect she would succeed.
Because of Iris’s insane firepower, she actually succeeded. They managed to take down the alien before the berserk consumed its life.
Only after they were done with this alien did they help Luna, although there wasn’t much time left for the alien that Luna fought. In the end, this alien fell because it had exhausted its lifespan.
Nevertheless, with this, they had fulfilled their roles and protected this continent.
