Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1725: Divinity = Mutation?

Chapter 1725: Divinity = Mutation?

"Aoooo!" Fenrir let out a howl as he stood atop the alien he had just defeated.

Nathan had also taken care of the aliens on his side. He might send Flora and Iris to another spot, but he asked Sera to return to his side, helping with their firepower.

Thanks to her, Nathan managed to finish the battle early. Besides, the city remained intact, so the people could return to the city.

The only reason Nathan was able to take down three of them by himself was his familiars.

All of them were divine beings, a very strong one on top of that. And there were three true gods among them. If he had missed even one of them, the battle wouldn’t have gone this way.

Fortunately, the situation was under control the whole time.

Nathan looked at the situation before nodding his head, satisfied. "It looks like we’re done here. Let’s regroup with Selena and the others."

Sera nodded and informed everyone that they were done, so she asked if they needed any help.

It looked like all of them wanted to defeat these aliens by themselves, so they didn’t ask for help. Instead, they told her that they would be back once they were done with their own battles.

Nathan just shrugged, telling them to do whatever they wanted. He believed in them.

At the very least, he put Selena and Evelyn on each team. They would remain cool-headed, allowing them to figure out whether fighting or retreating was the best option.

After two hours, they finally returned with two cores each. These cores were much more powerful than the normal ones.

"Good work." Nathan waved his hands.

"Whoa. You guys took a beating..." Sera was surprised. Anubis and Raphael were healing their injuries, making sure everyone was alright.

"We’ve managed to do it." Selena nodded and presented the cores.

"I know you can do it." Nathan smiled. "I never doubt any of you."

With such a sincere smile, they couldn’t help but look away, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"By the way, Nathan. I have come to notice something." Vivian raised her hand and walked forward with Charlotte.

"What is it?" Nathan raised his eyebrows.

"Actually, I have been meaning to ask about the mutant. After looking at this core, I might have found something." Vivian nodded with a serious expression.

"Hmm?" Nathan looked at the cores with a serious expression.

Charlotte stepped forward. "Darling. If you think about it, what’s the meaning behind a mutant? How can they give a core with more energy than normal aliens even though they’re of the same level?"

Nathan frowned. "Interesting. What’s the theory?"

"Look at the amount of energy within this core. If you think about it, you may find that this core is similar to that of a mutant core. It has more energy. We haven’t absorbed it yet, but it is giving the same reaction as a mutant core. I think we can reach a certain conclusion." Vivian raised one finger.

Charlotte continued with the explanation. "We think that the divine body or divinity in general might be similar to the mutation. Or mutation might be similar to a divine body.

"If it’s the former, it means that the divine body, divinity, and so on might be a way for us to mutate.

"This can mean a lot of things. For us who want to get stronger or become a god, we need divinity. So, if all this is a mutation, it means that we’re undergoing a rather similar process to that of an alien.

"On the other hand, if it’s the latter, this means that the aliens are undergoing certain progress that will give them something similar to a divine body. This might explain the reason for their high resistance and regeneration."

"!!!" Nathan and the others were quite shocked by this theory. In a way, they could see these two being related.

Nathan looked down, contemplating. He noticed where they drew the connection. "You’re using the evolution information for this conclusion?"

"Yes." Charlotte nodded. She was much more curious about evolution, so she ended up finding the connection this way. "If you think about it, there are four things that you need if you want to evolve.

"In a way, a mutation might be related to these four stats. So, imagine if you have these four stats before you become an elite summoner, master summoner, and so on. By repeating this same process, can we actually produce a special ability like the alien’s?"

This theory shocked everyone. If this were true, this might be the key difference between them and the aliens.

If they followed this progress and found the theory was actually correct, they might be able to create a human equal to that of an alien. No, with the help of the familiars, the humans might end up becoming stronger than aliens.

This would cause an overall evolution in the human race.

’Evolution theory? Charles Darwin? Maybe Charlotte Darwin?’ Nathan thought jokingly. Still, he couldn’t deny this theory. "It might sound interesting, but it’s too late for us, right?"

"Yes. However, it’s not too late for the next generations. If we spread this information, we may be able to do something three hundred years later."

"I’d rather not rely on future generations if we can end it in our generation." Nathan shook his head helplessly.

"I know you’re going to say that. But this is just a backup plan. If this theory is right, it can become a way for the chance that will happen three hundred years later... just in case we’re defeated. I don’t want to sound pessimistic, but I believe none of you are thinking that we have a 100% chance to win against the black cell, right?"

Nathan chuckled. "Be that as it may, let’s compile the theory first and test it later. Besides, no one can see the four stats except for me. For now, we should see whether the mutation is the lesser form of divinity or the other way around."

Vivian and Charlotte agreed.
