Chapter 1752: Asura
Chapter 1752: Asura
Evelyn had been using her teleportation to go deep into alien territory. The teleportation was truly an unfair power. At the same time, not many could do it.
If they had not been strong, the moment they arrived at the next location, they would have been surrounded and they wouldn’t have been able to escape.
Besides, in this group, Nathan also possessed the same ability. They were teleporting the group alternately.
Fortunately, they were able to reach the point they decided on as the first rendezvous point.
Nathan looked around. "There are some aliens nearby. They may have picked our presence, but this is where we will split up. Make sure to kill all the aliens on your way.
"The time limit for this expedition is two weeks, so you can take your time and make sure that you’re safe all the time.
"After that, we will establish a portal directly to the Asura Palace, and we will use it as a base to find the portal. Of course, Crotto will be brought after we’ve secured the base.
"Does anyone want to add something?" Nathan asked.
They didn’t open their mouths, knowing what they were going to do.
"Very well. Let’s begin." Nathan waved his hand.
The group immediately split into five. Nathan didn’t summon his familiars yet, since the aliens nearby weren’t strong enough for him to summon them.
The others were doing the same. They advanced smoothly with their strength.
However, Luna and Flora had to be wary. They were supposed to enter the enemy’s domain.
They didn’t know what kind of danger it had, so they slightly slowed down their pace to avoid any traps.
Luna and Flora surprisingly didn’t feel anything.
"Is it here? Have we passed it?" Luna asked.
Flora shook her head. "We should have passed it. According to Noelle, it should be near Kartaratur Mountain. We’ve passed the mountain."
Luna frowned. She activated the communication ring. "This is Luna. We’ve passed the mountain, but we haven’t found anything. Does this domain move?"
Nathan sounded concerned. "It might also go back into slumber like the sunken city. However, you guys need to be extra careful. Maintain contact every minute from now on."
"Understood." Luna turned to Flora and exchanged nods. They first looped around the mountain to see if they were missing something, but they couldn’t find anything.
All this time, Luna had continued to talk to them, so they were confused why Luna couldn’t sense it.
Nathan said, "How about proceeding to your first destination first? If it has gone back into slumber, we should finish our mission first and check that place together once we’re done with the mission."
In the end, Luna and Flora agreed to the new arrangement. They immediately headed for their destination.
It was quite a massive city. No, it was probably much bigger compared to any cities they had found in the alien territory.
"Hmm? This one is quite big." Luna frowned.
"Yes. Judging from the size alone, it’s probably the biggest we’ve encountered so far. It may be a main city." Flora agreed. "We should check the inside first. Fortunately, it’s still intact, so we may find more information than we originally expected."
Both of them immediately approached the city. There didn’t seem to be anything suspicious. They could see aliens all over the city, but there were no aliens outside.
It looked like a typical ruined city. The number of aliens was also understandable if they treated this city as their nest.
Luna and Flora hopped from one place to another carefully, not wanting to wake up the aliens as they approached the biggest building in the city.
This building looked like a ziggurat, but the center looked like a tower. It was massive and thick, making it hard to destroy.
It was obvious that this place contained something important, so they had to enter it.
Fortunately, Luna and Flora managed to infiltrate the ziggurat quietly. They didn’t want to fight, which ended up causing some destruction to the buildings.
So, they only eliminated the minimum number of aliens just to make sure that they could advance without alerting the rest of the aliens.
Eventually, they reached a massive hall.
Luna and Flora looked around the hall. "This is quite a massive hall."
"Yeah." Flora agreed. "It looks like something important is here."
There was a wall in the middle, making them unable to see the other side of the hall. They carefully examined the place, wondering if they had any information that could tell them about this place.
However, it looked like they didn’t need any words to determine what kind of place this was.
After all, the moment they passed the wall at the center of the hall, they saw a massive chair in an elevated position.
"A throne?" Flora widened her eyes. "This is the Asura Palace?"
"It looks like there’s a corpse over there!" Luna pointed to the throne.
"A corpse? No, it’s not a skeleton. It looks like... a zombie... No, a mummy!" Flora narrowed her eyes.
Luna agreed with her. "I should check it. Flora, tell Nathan about it."
"Got it." Flora still followed behind Luna, but she activated her communication ring. "Everyone. Do you know what Luna and I have found?"
"Don’t tease us." Selena answered right away.
"We may have found the Asura Palace. We’re currently in something similar to a throne room, and we may have found the Asura."
The moment Flora said those words, killing intent suddenly exploded.
"!!!" Luna and Flora widened their eyes. They instinctively leaped back.
They were trying to find the source of this killing intent, but no matter how hard they tried, it looked like the mummy was the source.
The mummy suddenly moved.
"It moves..." Flora gasped. "The Asura is still... alive?"
"NO!" Luna gritted her teeth. "Everyone, come here immediately!"
Everyone was startled when they heard the urgency in Luna’s voice.
Luna could sense it. The immeasurable power that suddenly surged from the city. In addition, she could sense another being living inside the body.
She realized this corpse was actually being taken over by the alien.
And with the surge of mysterious power from the city, she knew this place might be the one that alerted Alavenya and Noelle.
