Chapter 1751: To the Asura Palace
Chapter 1751: To the Asura Palace
Nathan finally gathered everyone after they had finished with their own tasks.
Nathan turned solemn and said, "Let’s begin, shall we?"
"Certainly." Flora nodded.
The leader of the Shadow Guards stepped forward. "We have managed to narrow down the location of the Asura Palace. However, due to our strength, we can’t confirm their location."
Vista pointed to the map. There was a big circle, but compared to the whole continent, it looked like they had to cover one or two regions in the Azilia kingdom. So, it wasn’t that big of a deal.
Still, it was deep within alien territory. A single mistake would cost them their lives. That was why they couldn’t be careless.
Vista explained, "There are a total of 12 cities in this region. However, that’s all we can find from the record. We can’t find the size, population, or even the names. That’s why we’re not sure which one is the Asura Palace."
Nathan thought for a moment. "I guess the best way is to check everything. Splitting up is necessary because we want speed. However, safety is also a concern..."
"How do you plan to split up? Two or three groups?" Selena asked.
"No. Looking at this size, I think we should do a pair. But since there are eleven of us, I will bring two people, with one of them being Iris."
"So, each pair will check two cities?" Noelle asked. "Safety is indeed a concern..."
"Which is why the pairing is important." Nathan nodded. "For the time being, I’m thinking about having Iris and Sera with me. The next pair should be Evelyn and Bella as well as Luna and Flora.
"That means Selena will go with Alavenya, while Vivian will pair up with Noelle."
"Hmm." Selena thought carefully. "That’s understandable. Evelyn and Bella have been working together, so they’re going to make a strong team. Luna is powerful, while Flora can focus on blasting everything around.
"With Alavenya in front, I can focus on dealing as much damage to the enemy. Lastly, Vivian’s ability will help Noelle a lot." Selena nodded in agreement.
"As for you..." Flora smiled wryly.
"Ahaha. Don’t mind me. I have Fenrir and the others!" Nathan gave a thumbs up. Fenrir and those divine beasts were practically his cheat.
They were strong, but their numbers were terrifying.
"Well, if things work out, I plan to summon my twelfth familiar." Nathan smiled.
"It’s going to be a burden to you, no? You have to split the amount of ena you receive."
"There are plenty of aliens to kill along the way." Nathan waved his hand, assuring them that he was able to manage everything.
"Well, if that’s the case, I don’t really have any objection regarding the pairings." Selena nodded, accepting everything.
"In that case, let’s continue with the briefing." Flora nodded to Vista, asking him to continue.
Vista then pointed to the map. "According to our information, the Asura Palace has a very complex system. We don’t have any information about their treasury.
"After all, the Asura Palace is the aggressor. They rarely let anyone enter their palace, so there’s basically no information.
"However, other cities might have that information."
Nathan could use the Memory of the Dead to find out. So, he wasn’t that worried about the treasury.
But it was true that the surrounding city should be quite related to the Asura Palace. After all, they were the first cities that would come into view if they left the Asura Palace.
The number of goods and soldiers there would be quite a lot.
"I guess we don’t have any chance of finding out about the aliens... like their type and number." Sera sighed.
"Well..." Selena turned to Noelle and Alavenya.
"No. We can’t get their number. We have tried to scout the area, but... it’s shrouded in mystery. How do I say this?" Alavenya tilted her head, wondering if Noelle had a better explanation.
"A domain." Noelle raised one finger. "I think that’s the best way to describe it."
"A domain?! We have never seen an alien using a domain..." Flora gasped.
"Which is why the mission this time might be quite dangerous... no, extremely dangerous." Vivian turned to Nathan. "How about we not do the pairing? We can go with three groups."
Nathan shook his head. "No, the pairing will be fine. Other than the three of you, including Iris, you have formed your second divine rule. I have formed my third, while Luna and Evelyn are on the verge of forging their divine bodies. We don’t have any problems with our strength.
"The only problem will be the enemies. Even if it’s the apex class, we at least have the strength to go away. In the worst-case scenario, Evelyn and I can use teleportation to help you."
"How are we going to solve this problem then?" Vivian asked.
"Well, from my understanding, if there is an alien with a domain, it will be similar to Cthulhu."
"Hmm?" People were confused, not understanding what he was talking about.
Evelyn, who had seen it with her own eyes, realized what he was talking about. "Do you mean something similar to the sunken city?"
"!!!" They widened their eyes.
"Exactly. It might be a nest that has turned into a domain. After all, I don’t know if they are bringing any domain into this world." Nathan raised two fingers. "Hence, we are going to do two things. I need one team, other than me and Evelyn, to go there. In the worst-case scenario, retreat. I and Evelyn will go help. Constant communication is the key, so the moment the communication is cut, we will assume the worst."
"What’s the worst that can happen?" Sera chuckled.
"Dead?"
"It should be fine. I believe you all. At least you won’t die immediately." Selena smiled.
"If that’s the case, I should be the bait. I’m the strongest, so I should do it. Besides, if it’s analysis, I should be quite good at it." Luna raised her hand.
"That settles it." Selena clapped her hands.
"All that is left is to pick which cities you want to explore." Evelyn agreed.
"Well, this is how I divide it." Nathan marked the map, dividing twelve cities into five groups. Of course, Nathan and Evelyn got one more because of their teleportation abilities.
