Chapter 1755: Entering the Ziggurat

"We’re changing our strategy now!" Nathan shouted.

Evelyn and the others were startled. They didn’t know what was going on in this place.

"Mae, assist Iris first!" Nathan leaped toward Evelyn and the others.

"Got it." Mae headed to Iris, but the mummy she was supposed to fight ended up following.

Unfortunately for the mummy, it was suddenly blocked by a seal. The mummy stopped and turned around, seeing Qilin behind it.

Nathan, on the other hand, explained briefly, "Asura is over there. Those strong ones should be his generals. Those mummies down there should be his army and its leaders.

"The alien must be using the Asura Palace to accumulate resentment from Asura and his people, turning this city into a domain. This resentment is increasing their power.

"At the same time, what we need is in this city. If we don’t destroy it, we might get it. So, our power will be quite limited.

"Our task here is to take down Asura and all those mummies. I’m not entirely sure about what happens to Asura, but it doesn’t matter. We really have to defeat him and the rest. We can find out everything else through the Memory of the Dead."

It was a lot of information, but they understood the gist of the situation immediately.

Nathan then shouted, commanding the entire group. "Summon all your familiars. Those who can strengthen Pangu’s domain or help in any way to prevent the destruction of this place will need to support the domain!

"Anubis, Garuda, Nidhogg, and Qilin. I need four of you to stay here and help the team.

"Selena and the others will focus on taking down the mummies. Have your familiars take out the army of mummies.

"Take on those mummy commanders as you like, but I want Noelle to fight against Asura."

"!!!" Noelle widened her eyes. She didn’t expect that she would have the honor of doing it. Normally, the enemy leader would be taken care of by the strongest. It would be Nathan, Luna, Evelyn, or Selena.

Nathan turned his head around and smiled at her. "Your power is similar to his. Make use of this time."

Noelle remembered the first time they encountered the memory of Asura. She benefited a lot.

It looked like Nathan wanted her to learn from Asura.

Even though Asura in the past was weaker than the current Noelle, Asura’s mastery of killing intent might have been higher than Noelle’s. That was why for her emotion’s divinity, this clash would be beneficial for her.

Still, the city boosted Asura’s power to the level of an apex class alien. Besides, they couldn’t fight to the best of their abilities to avoid destroying this city.

So, Nathan said, "Luna, Sera, you two are to support Noelle. Selena, Evelyn, you two will be in charge of the rest of the commanders. Adjust the team as you need. You two can definitely see the situation."

There was no flaw in Nathan’s plan, but they couldn’t help but feel something was off.

Nathan didn’t include himself in this plan. Normally, Nathan would be the best person to support Noelle in this fight. He knew exactly where to lead Noelle. Yet, for some reason, Nathan acted as if he had never intended to participate in this fight.

In fact, he only asked four of his familiars to stay.

"Nathan, you..." Evelyn frowned. Selena gasped. "Don’t tell me..."

Nathan grinned.

He didn’t say anything else to them. He simply flew forward while shouting, "Fenrir, Jinwu, Mae, Xolotl! You four, follow me!"

"!!!" They were confused by Nathan’s request. However, they followed his instructions. Nathan might make mistakes from time to time, but his plan was generally good.

He might have another good plan this time.

Of course, they were fighting mummies earlier, so someone had to deal with the mummies they had to leave behind.

Evelyn and Selena couldn’t say what they wanted, as Nathan had already left. They could only click their tongues and charge forward.

Evelyn punched one of the mummy commanders, while Selena blasted another.

Noelle and the others also followed suit.

Noelle swung her blade at Asura. The clash of their blades caused their killing intent to erupt.

Seeing that their powers were similar, Noelle turned serious. This was a power that she needed to master. That was why she wouldn’t waste this opportunity.

The rest of the familiars were split into several teams. Some familiars focused on helping Pangu maintain his domain.

Some were positioned so that they could withstand any stray attacks so that it wouldn’t disrupt the domain further.

The rest headed toward Iris.

Amphitrite swept the mummies with a wave of water. Ying Zhen cut down one mummy after another.

Iris couldn’t help but smile. "They’re finally here."

She started releasing everything she got, trying to take down even more mummies now that the mummies wouldn’t entirely focus on her.

Selena and Evelyn knew what Nathan intended to do. However, they didn’t know Nathan’s goal in doing this.

After all, Nathan could do it after they wiped all these mummies from this city.

However, Nathan chose to ignore everything and head to the ziggurat.

Fenrir said, "You’re completely insane, right? Even right now, the mummies are still flooding out of that ziggurat."

"That’s why I need you all." Nathan smiled. "We will use my teleportation to go inside. Xolotl, I need you to trace the death energy and see if there’s anything we can use. I wonder if there’s something we can do to destroy this domain.

"If not, we will try to figure out anything hidden in this ziggurat, including the record of the Asura Palace.

"Mae, that’s your job in case we need to split up."

Mae nodded.

"In that case, my job should be..." Jinwu suddenly turned back to his small form. It was clear that Nathan wanted him to scout the area.

Fenrir nodded. "In that case, I’ll be your bodyguard."

"Ready?" Nathan smiled, activating his teleportation ability and bringing them inside the ziggurat.
