Chapter 1810: A Monster?
Chapter 1810: A Monster?
"I heard there could be a lot of weird things on other planets, such as diamond rain, a normal wave as tall as hundreds of meters, if not kilometers, or even horizontal rain. This time, it’s a heatwave sweeping the entire world?"
Nathan looked a bit surprised. He had expected a lot of things, but a heat wave was not one of them. The fact that there was a heatwave meant this place was extremely hot.
"I think we may have found the wrong planet." Nathan smiled wryly. "Most likely, the other side of the planet is extremely hot. And since it’s locked, it might be burning or melting. The problem is the distance between this planet and the sun."
Nathan immediately activated the barrier, protecting everyone from the heatwave.
"This is quite hot."
"Can aliens even survive this?"
"Maybe not. It might be why we haven’t found any aliens right now."
The girls also noticed the lack of aliens. The heatwave might have burned them to ashes.
The heat wave passed them and burned the ground again, turning the charred rock into molten rock.
Nathan waved his hand. "In any case, just protect yourself. The natural phenomenon alone is not that hard to block, but if you’re careless, you might get hurt or something."
They nodded. They also noticed that the air in this place was close to none. Their bodies were very light.
"Can we go up?" Sera asked Luna. She pointed up with big, teary eyes, making it impossible for Luna to refuse. "I want to see this planet and the planets in this solar system."
"I want to find maybe unknown minerals. If you’re done with your observation, you are going to help me with that." Luna nodded.
"Sure." Sera agreed with the arrangement.
"We’re going as well." Evelyn came with Bella. "I want to teleport around to see if there are any planets with living beings around here. That’s my role after all."
"I’m just here to document everything." Bella waved her hand.
"Then, can we trouble you to teleport us up there?" Sera pointed up.
"Sure. Let’s go." Evelyn snapped her fingers, activating the teleportation ability.
The four of them disappeared.
"In that case, we will go around." Flora waved her hand before walking away with Noelle.
Selena also went separate ways as she said, "Vivian and I will be going around to see if there are living beings here."
"Got it!" Nathan saw them off.
Now that they were the only ones left, Alavenya asked, "So, what are we going to do, Nathan?"
"I don’t have any plans. This kind of world is interesting, but I’m not that interested in many things. Do you have any places you’d like to visit?"
"Not really." Alavenya shook her head.
"In that case, let’s just take a stroll, shall we?"
"Sure." Alavenya nodded before both of them disappeared.
...
Outside this world, Sera couldn’t help but cheer excitedly. "Hahaha. We’ve got into another solar system. I can’t even see our world from here."
"You guys have fun here. I’m going to that planet." Evelyn pointed to a nearby planet. She formed a few magic circles in a straight line as if they were meant to amplify each other’s power.
The process took thirty seconds, but the moment she activated that power, the magic circles brought her and Bella thirty times the original distance for one magic circle.
Casting it multiple times should be more than enough to reach a nearby planet.
On the other hand, Luna asked Sera, "So, what are we going to do here?"
"I’m going to watch the other side of this planet."
Sera snapped her fingers, forming multiple magic circles around their bodies. These magic circles then formed a sphere, isolating their bodies inside.
"This should be enough to protect us from the sun. It’s going to be bright."
"Don’t worry!" Sera winked playfully. "Let’s go!"
Both of them flew toward the other side of the planet. The moment they escaped the curvature, they faced the intense light and heat from the sun.
The blazing heat was trying to burn their barrier.
"..." Luna frowned and increased her power to ensure the barrier remained sturdy. "This is truly a mess. We will be dead in seconds if we haven’t reached this level."
"I know, right? I have a hard time looking at the sun, but I think I can see the flaming gas giant. There are several kinds of eruptions over there. To think the sun has this kind of form..."
"Well, just finish what we want to do before searching for the portal."
"Got it." Sera continued to fly toward the other side that faced the sun.
She couldn’t help but gasp. "Is this hell?"
The other side of the planet was on fire. Fire was everywhere, the ground was molten rock, and the river was hot lava. There was nothing that could withstand the heat from the sun.
"I wonder if there is something different from molten rock that has endured so much heat..." Luna asked.
"Hahaha. We can try that. Should we go down for a bit?"
"Sure."
Both of them headed down to get a closer look at the entire area. It turned out to be even more terrifying.
Their barriers seemed to be petrified because the atmosphere itself was filled with vaporized stone, silicon, and iron.
The wind was basically a fire typhoon, spreading the unending fire.
"..." Sera scanned the area. "This side doesn’t have anything other than burning things, I guess."
Once her excitement calmed down, she realized that even if she found something, it would have been burned by the sun.
"Yeah. I guess we should just go back. Of course, I’m going to take some samples first."
"Sure. I will wait for you here." Sera waved her hand.
Luna descended to the surface, scanning the area first to see if there were any differences in the samples.
After making sure which ones she wanted to bring, she snapped her fingers, isolating them with her ena before putting them into the space ring.
"I should also go over..." Luna suddenly felt a presence.
Sera shouted, "Luna! Watch out!"
"!!!" Luna shifted her gaze to the left.
Suddenly, a humanoid silhouette emerged from the lava and extended a hand as big as a hill.
