Chapter 1818: Treating Khlina

Chapter 1818: Treating Khlina

"So, the reason you can’t is that you’re too powerful?"

"..." Selena and the others knew how powerful Anubis was in terms of healing ability. Even though Raphael possessed a similar power, Anubis’s mastery was on another level.

In fact, that was why Anubis wasn’t that far from becoming a true god.

Still, Hgahuku and the others were wondering how someone could fail to heal Khlina because they were too strong.

"Well, I didn’t say that."

Nathan’s eyebrows twitched. He looked at Anubis, demanding an explanation.

Anubis pointed at Khlina. "As I said earlier, the mist was toxic, and her condition was also due to the mist. If I get rid of the mist, this world will kill her. However, there are solutions; a few in fact. The easiest way is to have you aid me."

"Me?" Nathan raised his eyebrows.

"Yes. If we just treat her current condition, it will be back in months."

"I see. How am I supposed to help?"

"You need to freeze her time. Spread that power all over her body. This way, my ability won’t reach the frozen poison, and we can lower it to the acceptable amount."

Nathan looked down, contemplating. It looked like Anubis wanted to clash his power against him. By using the time element to stop the poison, his healing ability also couldn’t reach the poison. Instead, it only targeted the poison that wasn’t frozen in time.

"I can do that, but that only treats the condition, right?"

"Yes." Anubis nodded. "We will have to go one step further, and you are the only one who can do it."

"Elaborate."

"Her condition is caused by that fast metabolism when her body hasn’t matured enough to withstand it. In other words, if we want to treat her completely, we need to strengthen her body."

"Strengthen her body... Matured... I see, you want me to use my power to hasten time so that she will become much more mature?"

"Only her heart and her lungs."

"Only those two?"

"Yes. The mist is in the air, so strengthening her lungs will treat her breathing problem."

"Eh?" Khlina was startled. "I have a breathing problem?"

Anubis nodded. "Not exactly a breathing problem, but when you try to increase your power, don’t you feel anything?"

"Ah!" Khlina covered her mouth in shock. She hadn’t improved for almost a year, so she forgot about it.

"As for the heart, it’s to handle your blood circulation. You must be having a hard time trying to sleep all this time."

"This..." Khlina never thought that in front of Anubis, all her conditions were laid bare. It was as if he completely understood the nature of her sickness. If he could figure out her condition, he could treat her as he claimed.

Nathan turned to Khlina. "There is just one problem. By forcing your heart and lungs to mature, it means that the age of these two organs will increase drastically. In other words, if you are currently 20 years old and your life expectancy is about 90 years, you will only have 60 more years if I decide to let your organs mature for ten years. Your appearance itself won’t change."

Hgahuku hurriedly replied, "Please treat her. Age won’t be a problem for her. She used to be the Conqueror of the Mist’s disciple, so she will live a very long age."

Nathan didn’t answer Hgahuku. Instead, he kept staring at Khlina because she had to be the one who made this choice.

Khlina couldn’t help but ask, "Will it slow down my absorption if I choose to get this treatment?"

"Khlina!" Hgahuku was desperate to treat her. It would be fine if she weren’t extremely strong.

Khlina, on the other hand, focused on what life would become after being treated. If she were going to live as trash, it would be better if she didn’t receive the treatment.

Anubis smiled. "You don’t have to worry about that. What we are doing is strengthening your organ so that it can withstand your physique’s uniqueness. The uniqueness itself won’t disappear. However, because your organs will be more mature, you will need to adjust your breathing and other things related to the organs. Well, it shouldn’t take a month as long as you focus on it."

A sense of relief appeared in her eyes.

"I see." Khlina lowered her head. "Please help me."

"That’s the promise, after all." Nathan nodded and stood up. He placed his hand on Khlina and closed his eyes, channeling his power into her body. "You will feel like you’re in a suspended space, but don’t panic. Just let my energy flow into your body. It will be over before you know it."

"Yes." Khlina closed her eyes.

Nathan then spread his power in her body, using the time element as the main element to suspend the poison. He used the space element to reinforce the area so that Anubis’ power couldn’t penetrate it.

Anubis narrowed his eyes, examining the amount of energy in her body. Then, Anubis said, "Please increase it a bit more."

Nathan increased the output until Anubis said, "Stop. That’s enough."

Nathan nodded, but he maintained his form, making sure that Anubis’ power couldn’t break his power.

Anubis then activated his power. An ankh appeared on top of him as his golden light flowed into Khlina’s body.

Khlina didn’t feel anything because she was frozen in time. However, Nathan had to strengthen his power further since Anubis’s power was melting it down.

Still, the process itself only took three minutes.

"That’s enough from me. Please use your power to strengthen the organs. Then, retract your power slowly. Give the reinforced organs time to adjust to the body."

Nathan followed his instructions. The time for the lungs and heart increased drastically.

After receiving his divinity, 100 times faster wasn’t his limit anymore. If it was just for a single object, he could easily enhance that time a thousand times faster.

Anubis observed his power quietly, waiting for the right time to give another signal.

Hgahuku was praying for her sister’s success.

The one hour Nathan took to reinforce the organs felt like hundreds of days to him.

But ultimately, Nathan had finished.

Nathan gradually retracted his power. The heart started pumping irregularly due to the difference in age.

But Anubis could see that the heart wasn’t affected by the toxic substance anymore.

The treatment was successful.
