Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1845: Lecturing the Divine Beasts

Chapter 1845: Lecturing the Divine Beasts

"So, I guess it’s time to reveal the winner this time." Nathan smiled, looking at all his familiars.

Anubis, Nidhogg, Jinwu, and Orochi were the most excited about it. They thought that they had won this round and would become the next true god.

Mae, Kun and Qilin were rather nonchalant about it. They thought it would be good if they won, but it would be fine even if they didn’t.

After all, they didn’t have the pride like the other four.

They looked calm and waited for Nathan to announce the result.

"So, who won this time?" They looked at each other.

"I’m sure you already knew this. I saw a few of you noticing what I truly wanted while still accomplishing the objective. All of you are divine beasts, so you should think about the best possible outcome so that even if I’m not with you, you can still solve a problem.

"When I asked you to defeat the alien, several of you noticed the fact that you should avoid destroying the area around you. While it was still destroyed, your current power was more than enough to cause massive devastation to this planet."

Two of them were in shock when they heard Nathan’s words. Those two familiars were Orochi and Kun.

"Master. I can’t help it. Just look at my size." Kun protested. He might not get excited about the reward, but he didn’t want to be blamed for something that he couldn’t help.

"I’m not talking about you, Kun." Nathan waved his hand. "I’m talking about Orochi and Nidhogg."

"What? Me?" Nidhogg was startled. He didn’t expect that he was the problem.

When he fought against the alien, he certainly had suppressed his power to a certain degree. He didn’t want to destroy the area after all.

"Yeah. While it was true that you had suppressed your power, power wasn’t everything. The chaos element still lingered because you compressed it further. In other words, while it was true you didn’t cause destruction, you caused your power to linger. I had to ask Tiamat to help me remove that lingering power." Nathan sighed.

Nidhogg suddenly froze. "Wait, I also couldn’t help that."

Nathan rolled his eyes. "Tiamat told me you could do it. You’re just too lazy to even do it. Look, I won’t ask you to do a lot of things since I know you are a rather lazy dragon.

"I got it. It’s like conserving your energy. You can laze around most of the time, but there are times you shouldn’t be lazy. And for that, I have to deduct your points."

Nidhogg gasped.

"So, Nidhogg and Orochi have been eliminated." Jinwu muttered before realizing that he was the biggest candidate this time.

"However, Jinwu..." Nathan narrowed his eyes. "You might have fulfilled the main task, but..."

Jinwu suddenly froze. He thought he had done everything perfectly, so he couldn’t help but recall whether he had made a mistake or not.

To his surprise, Xolotl was actually the one giving him the answer. "Jinwu, you are considerate of others, but you are indifferent to other things. When you utilize the power of the sun, have you forgotten the fact that there are two other battles occurring in this solar system?"

"Ah!" Jinwu forgot about it. Because of his divinity, he could borrow the power of the sun. However, Selena’s battlefield was actually not far from the sun.

In other words, since he had to borrow the power of the sun to contribute, the alien that Selena fought might also feel that power.

"I should have picked another sun or maybe... directing that power to another route..." Jinwu realized he had been considerate to Nathan, but not to his wives. While it might not really matter, his power might invite those aliens to come to this world as well.

"For that, I will have to deduct your points as well." Nathan sighed. "That means Anubis is the winner this time."

"O-Ohhh!" Anubis had done his best, but he actually didn’t expect to win, especially since the others had been avoiding the attacks so that he would contribute less.

"Mae, Qilin, and Kun. You guys have done a fantastic job, but it feels like you have no desire to win this battle. You may want to become true gods, but you don’t think prioritizing yourself is a good thing." Nathan looked at them.

"My size is not something that even a true god can ignore, so yeah, I think the others should get it first," answered Kun.

"My power is to support you, mainly on defense. In our group, offense is the best defense, so I just patch the holes everyone is making. It will be more useful if others get it first." Qilin admitted it.

Mae smiled. "I’m just using my illusion. All this time, I have managed to handle all the problems with my current power, so I shouldn’t be a priority. Let those guys get stronger first. They can rampage on the battlefield."

"You’re wrong." Nathan glared at them. "Kun, if you become a true god, you might get even bigger. Your power will also be more refined. Do you know what this means? Your weapon, which is your size, will get stronger. Besides, we might even need to rely on you to travel. After all, you will become big enough to travel from one planet to another quickly. While teleportation can do the trick, it requires a considerable amount of energy.

"In addition, your strength is not in your size. It’s in your power combination. By becoming a true god, that power will be refined further. Tiamat and the others can definitely rely on you. You must have seen the way the girls fight.

"If you can do such a thing, I may be able to entrust a task to you and two other familiars. Imagine this: Xolotl and Garuda are worth three points. If they’re in pairs, it will be like an addition, so their group will be worth six points. Your power can multiply their value, which makes the group stronger. So, I might only need to send three of you together instead of four or five."

Kun couldn’t actually refute him.

"As for Mae..." Nathan looked at her with his hands on his hips. He let out a long sigh.
