Chapter 1855: Frozen World
Chapter 1855: Frozen World
"Well, it was nice meeting both of you." Nathan nodded to Thuka and Misty Frost.
Since Misty Frost had already finished with the copy, they could finally leave this world.
Misty Frost nodded. "I have given you some solutions so that in the future, you can do it yourself. It is only a limited quantity, though."
"If it comes to that, I will ask some people to make them again. I’m sure there are a lot of capable people in this universe." Nathan smiled.
"Indeed. In that case, I wish you the best of luck." Misty Frost had benefited a lot from Nathan’s visit, considering she received a lot of new research materials.
Thuka explained, "The situation might not look good, but we will continue to protect our world. It’s unfortunate that none of us can be of any help, but we will fight until our last breath. Please, kill the culprit who terrorized the entire universe."
"I will do my best." Nathan nodded. "In that case, it’s time for us to depart. Please give my regards to the Alahambad Warrior. Goodbye."
Thuka and Misty Frost clasped their hands, showing their respect to Nathan and his wives.
Nathan and his wives headed to the portal leading to the frozen planet.
Nathan gave one last briefing. "Our mission is simple. Once we enter the planet, I will accompany Flora to ensure that nothing goes wrong. Flora will absorb the essence of this planet and improve her absolute ice element as much as possible. It will be good if she can achieve absolute zero, but we will see.
"As for the rest of the team, you’re going to split into two groups. Selena already knows about the group, but I will need Luna and Sera to move to the other group.
"Search for the resources of this planet, aliens, portals, or even the nearby planets. See if they have inhabitants. Just like usual, we will be leaving behind traces so that Iris can track them. I know we haven’t gone for long, but Iris will definitely be regrouping with us soon, especially since she’s using my time domain. Understood?"
Selena and the others nodded firmly.
"Very well. Let’s go." Nathan smiled, waving his hand.
He was the first to enter the portal. As soon as he entered this world, the bone-chilling wind brushed his body.
"!!!" Nathan was quite surprised about its power. Even though he knew that his divine body would be less effective against this kind of temperature, the chilling wind froze his breath and body. The cold seeped into his skin and tried to freeze even his flesh and bones.
Nathan immediately summoned his familiars in case something happened.
"What the hell?"
"So cold..."
Some familiars complained immediately, not expecting this kind of cold.
"Interesting." Tiamat looked around.
"The temperature here is so low that it can even affect the true vessel." Abzu narrowed his eyes. "Absolute Zero?"
"Yes." Nathan nodded.
"I don’t want anything to do with it. It’s fine even if you say I’m not contributing anything. Unless there is a fight, I really don’t want to be here," said Nidhogg before he disappeared.
Jinwu, Anubis, and Orochi also returned because they disliked the environment.
Meanwhile, Selena and the others were already covering themselves with thick clothes, but it wasn’t enough. They were forced to use their respective energies to protect themselves from the cold.
Only Flora seemed to be comfortable enough to live in this place.
Nathan gave a signal to them to begin what they had agreed upon. They said nothing more and split up. It looked like outside this world was their favorite destination as they left the world first to discuss their plans.
Meanwhile, Nathan asked, "How do you feel?"
"I feel great. It’s like... home. However, my body doesn’t seem to be able to withstand this cold either." Flora checked the circulation of her power. "For the time being, there should be no problem. The temperature here is cold, but there should be a source somewhere."
"Yeah. Do you think you can find it?" Nathan asked.
"I don’t know." Flora shook her head helplessly.
"By the way, even if you find something, please remember these two things." Qilin suddenly warned them. "If you want to absorb the source, don’t empty it. Just absorb half of its power. In this kind of environment, the source should be able to recover itself.
"Leave it so that others or future generations can also benefit from this. In addition, maintaining the source will also hinder the movement of the aliens who are moving through this planet.
"I don’t know how many aliens can pass here, but I doubt there are many. Probably, only apex class aliens or above can pass through here. So, leaving this planet intact will buy us a bit more time."
Nathan nodded in understanding. "How is the balance here, Qilin?"
"I would say that the balance is completely broken. This cold is so overwhelming that there is no such thing as balance here, but at the same time, the cold is stable."
"I see." Nathan contemplated for a moment. "I guess we have no choice but to find it the old fashion way. Anyone has a suggestion?"
Fenrir asked, "Should I help?"
"Can you?"
"We have to go around the world, but if we’re close, my nose can pick up a sharper cold."
"Will it be a problem for you? Will it freeze your lungs or something?" Nathan frowned.
"Who do you think I am? I may not be able to defeat some of you yet, but I believe my body is the toughest among all of us. If I get frozen, it’s everyone else who should be worried." Fenrir harrumphed.
"Fair enough." Nathan turned to Tiamat and Abzu.
"I don’t have any opinions." Tiamat shook her head. "If needed, I can melt it down."
Abzu continued, "I can help. The ice here is made of water, so I will try to track the water. There should be a place where the water is scarce. That will be the place we will need to go."
Nathan smiled. It looked like summoning Abzu was the correct choice. "Let’s go then."
