Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1856: Reluctant

Chapter 1856: Reluctant

Meanwhile, Selena and the others had exited the world.

"That was cold." Sera rubbed her arms.

"Yeah." Luna looked at the white and blue world. She looked around to check their surroundings. "Now that I think about it, even though we’re in that world, we can still see, right?"

"Yeah. There is no darkness. In other words, there should be a natural light source..." Vivian looked around.

"If you’re talking about this world’s sun, it should be that." Bella pointed in a certain direction.

Although the sun itself was small, it was still visible in their eyes. In other words, the distance shouldn’t be too far.

"I guess there’s something special about this planet. At this distance, the sun should still give enough energy to warm the planet. The fact that it’s so cold there means there is a source that can overwhelm the sun’s heat." Evelyn narrowed her eyes.

"I don’t care about that. Nathan and Flora will surely handle it. The big question is who will search the planets around and who will return to the planet to find the portals." Alavenya’s question caused everyone to stop talking.

They didn’t admit it, but none of them actually wanted to be on that planet. Even with their clothes and energy, the freezing temperature still made them extremely uncomfortable.

It was amazing enough that Nathan remained there without complaint.

"I have Evelyn with me, so it’s more efficient to travel around this solar system." Selena glanced at Evelyn.

"I can do that." Evelyn nodded in agreement.

"That’s not fair." Sera pouted.

"That’s right. The distances aren’t that far, so everyone can do it. Besides, with your portals, you can search the area much more easily. You can do that job quickly and leave the world, right?" Luna smiled.

"See? Even Luna, who rarely rejected an idea, actually didn’t want to stay there." Noelle chuckled.

"Aren’t you supposed to be near your childhood friend, Noelle?" Bella grinned.

"This and that are two different things. Flora is already old enough to do everything by herself without me babysitting her." Noelle snorted.

"In this situation, there’s only one way. Let’s settle this the old-fashioned way." Evelyn raised a finger. "Rock-Paper-Scissors?"

"Fine by me." Luna cracked her fingers and neck. "Who will represent your team?"

"I will." Selena came forward.

"Ah, before that." Sera activated her power. "Gate of the Victor, Gate of the Loser."

"Oi, you even buffed her? Nathan will be disappointed that you use your power in this situation." Alavenya protested.

"Good work, Sera." Noelle winked.

Luna and Selena looked at each other. "Rock-Paper-Scissors! Boo!"

All of them were stunned. Luna played scissors, but Selena actually used rock.

"What?" Sera looked dumbfounded. "My power didn’t work?"

"It definitely worked." Selena nodded. "But the blood is in my command. Your blood circulation told me what you intended to play."

"Isn’t that cheating?!" Sera protested.

"Cheating? What you did was cheating, Sera." Selena glared at her.

"Remind me next time not to play this game with Selena." Luna sighed. "Let’s go back to the planet."

Selena crossed her fingers with a smile.

"Good work." Evelyn nodded.

"You too. Thanks for suggesting that." Selena chuckled.

If Nathan actually knew what had transpired outside the world, he would probably shake his head and pinch their cheeks one by one.

After all, he was the one who had to withstand all this cold. However, he had experienced a cold without any heater in the past, so he could withstand the feeling of being frozen to a certain degree.

That was why he looked fine, even though he was also uncomfortable.

Garuda formed a barrier so that at least the chilling wind wouldn’t brush their skin anymore. At the same time, Ananta used his power to look into the numerous possibilities to see if Auric had found the source or not.

It would take quite some time, so they continued to move around, relying on Fenrir’s sense of smell and Abzu’s affinity with water.

Fenrir was able to withstand the cold perfectly due to his absolute physique. Meanwhile, Mae was secretly doing her divination, wanting to find out the source as soon as possible.

Nathan had told them to return if they didn’t want to, but no one returned. Qilin was freezing, but he definitely wanted to look into the balance of this world. He had never seen anything like this after all.

Mae was there to accompany Nathan and refused to leave his side. Fenrir didn’t care about the cold, so it felt like a trip for him.

Garuda and Ananta served Nathan, so they had to remain by his side to guard him. Abzu was helping Nathan, and Tiamat simply refused to leave Abzu’s side.

Meanwhile, Flora had actually been experiencing some transformation. The chilling energy was flowing into her body.

Flora couldn’t help but ask, "By the way, Nathan. Can you carry me while we’re searching for the source?"

"I don’t mind, but why?" Nathan asked. It was unlike Flora to be this spoiled, so it wasn’t that he didn’t trust Flora, he just wanted to know why Flora acted weird.

"I think I can absorb the cold around me. While the foundation of the absolute ice element has been set up because of your new method, I’m starting a new foundation based on the Spirit Circle."

"So, you’re planning to use the cold to strengthen your Spirit Circle?"

"Yes." Flora nodded with a serious expression. "It should be possible."

"Are you intending to have ten elements in total?" Nathan asked. "I mean, you can create ten circles and each circle will contain one element."

"That’s a good idea. If that doesn’t burden you, we can do that."

"I am going to be fine. The usage of karma is minimal, so I can even give you a hundred or a thousand elements if you want as long as you provide the energy."

"In that case, let’s do that. I will first build up the first circle with my absolute ice. Then, I will gradually develop the second circle with the absolute lightning."

"Very well." Nathan didn’t hesitate to carry her like a princess. "Let’s go, my princess."

Flora playfully kissed her before winking. "I will leave it to you, my love."
