Chapter 1866: Arriving at the Empire
Chapter 1866: Arriving at the Empire
"Understood. Going with the full thrust." General Kgakga commanded his crews.
On the way, Nathan looked at Zeta and asked, "Should we resume the discussion?"
"How much do you know about the aliens?"
Zeta answered, "The creatures began to appear in our world 3,500 years ago. We fought them desperately, but we couldn’t win against them.
"Ultimately, we spent a thousand years rebuilding what we used to have and another thousand years to improve them to this level. I was born 2400 years after the invasion.
"At that time, humanity had already defeated the aliens, but we knew that this wasn’t over. There were beings scarier than what we faced. The being sealed within the Frozen Prison was one of them.
"We were aware of the limitations of our weapons, so we sealed that being on that planet.
"The aliens we know are like you. Most of them are mortals, but some of them have transcended from the limit and become extremely powerful.
"There is the black cell. After checking them, we know that the black cell is actually derived from one entity. This entity is so powerful that we classify it as something equal to a black hole. It’s a singularity-level threat. If it wants, it has the power to destroy the universe."
Nathan agreed with the assessment.
"You can receive the full detail from the books in the empire, but I can continue the answer if you want."
Nathan requested, "Just tell me about the black cell."
He didn’t care much about the aliens since the black cell was the main enemy.
"The black cell is controlling the aliens. Each black cell is like the sun. It contains a massive amount of power, but only aliens that have reached a certain level will be strong enough to depend on its power.
"This is why we believe the black cell is a singularity. The aliens don’t have their own consciousness anymore, but we believe that stronger aliens have them or still have them.
"In conclusion, we believe that the black cell is eroding their minds, just like a parasitic cell.
"If we can remove the black cell before it completely takes over the aliens, the aliens might regain their sanity. That’s all we know for now."
"Wait. Doesn’t that mean you have a way to get rid of the black cell?"
"No. We are able to remove the black cell from a dead alien, but we can’t remove the black cell from living aliens."
"!!!" Nathan widened his eyes in shock. When he first got the research about the black cell removal, the alien was actually still alive.
If he thought about it carefully, he realized that utilizing ena was the way to do it.
Meanwhile, these people actually used full technology to do it.
If they knew the method, they might be able to remove the black cell without killing the aliens.
He thought about using this solution to remove the black cell from Yog-Sothoth or Azathoth.
However, this was naive thinking, and he knew it. The closer he got to the black cell, the more desperate the black cell would become. That was why it might use everything it had to forcefully get rid of their remaining consciousness.
It was Zeta’s turn to ask a question. "How do you achieve godhood?"
"Do you know that the aliens possess a core in their body?"
"Yes. It contains energy. We have been using them as alternative energy."
"That is the biggest requirement. Your body needs to get that energy and evolve alongside it before you build your own divinity. Once you reach a certain level, you will be able to cast your mortal body and forge your divine body."
Nathan didn’t give the full details, but this should be enough as an answer.
"What kind of being is sealed inside the Frozen Prison?"
Zeta moved to the monitor and projected a record.
There was a picture of a humanoid alien. The alien looked like Cthulhu in a way, but it had three eyes and two pairs of wings.
"This is the alien we call Eden Zero. When it first came to our world, it destroyed 70% of our defense system, so we had no choice but to use the most powerful Nano Electric Freezer to amplify the already cold planet into a prison. However, it couldn’t completely contain that being.
"That being absorbed death, so we had been monitoring the prison so that it couldn’t recover its power."
Nathan frowned. "Should I kill it?"
"If you are willing to do that, it will be a huge opportunity for us."
"Well, we can talk about that later." Nathan shrugged. "I guess that was my last question for the time being."
"In that case, I’ll ask the last question as well. Are you our allies?"
"I believe the answer lies in you, not me." Nathan shook his head. "All this time, I’ve come to this place with good intentions. We have a common enemy, so we might be able to become allies, but look at how everything ended up."
"We apologize for the inconvenience. We’ll definitely make it up to you. We wish to be your allies, but we don’t know how to please a god."
Nathan chuckled. "Well, you just have to study that."
"Understood. In that case, you can see the empire on the left." Zeta gestured for them to look at the window.
"Hmm?!" He must have been so absorbed with the conversation that he didn’t realize that they had almost arrived.
Then again, he thought his eyes would be blinded because of the sun, but because there was no sudden bright light, he thought they were still on the way.
He forgot that a civilization like this should have fully utilized the energy coming from its main star.
Yes, Nathan could see a huge sphere in the distance, a Dyson sphere. There was no so-called sun anymore, but the world wasn’t exactly dark either.
It might even have an artificial sun to light up the entire world.
Even Nathan couldn’t help but feel impressed by the power of technology as he saw yet another blue planet.
In fact, the surrounding planets had been colonized as well.
