Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1869: Emperor

Chapter 1869: Emperor

The buildings looked like the futuristic image in his mind, but a bit more worn out. They were mostly white and compact, but the paint had deteriorated.

However, the more they traveled, the better the buildings became.

Flora realized that this place was similar to their kingdom. They had classes in the system.

Nathan didn’t exactly care about it. Instead, he was more interested in the people living here.

It looked like the colony had yet to find any other living creatures around them. If they had found them, there would be a lot more variations. Even if they were treating them as slaves or other things, there would surely be some that appeared on the street.

Nathan couldn’t find a single of them, so he knew the humans here were alone.

Since he knew what he was looking for, Nathan just enjoyed the trip without saying anything.

Finally, they reached a massive castle. The castle’s design was different from the ones in their original world.

This castle was more like an engineering challenge. The bottom part looked like a pyramid, but instead of coming to a point in the center, it actually expanded. Towers surrounded the castle, but each of them was connected as though they were spider legs.

The main part of the castle looked like a tower. Its cylindrical shape showed the futuristic vibe, but robust design made it look more artistic and ancient.

The car stopped right in front of the castle. It looked like the soldiers had been waiting as well. Unlike the soldiers gathered at the airport, the soldiers here wore full-body armor.

Nathan noticed the slight difference between the soldiers in the castle and the ones the Alpha had.

The soldiers here were completely machines.

When Nathan scanned them, the only thing that remained human was their brains. It was as if they didn’t need anything else other than their brains to move the body.

As long as their brains remained safe, they could revive themselves.

That was why they changed all their body parts so that they could become the ultimate soldiers.

Luna licked her lips. She truly wanted to create all these things, so she just wanted to end the meeting here and searched for the books regarding their concepts.

If Iris were here, she might pass out from getting too excited.

Devonio guided them inside until they reached the throne hall.

It might be because this was a private meeting. There was only one person inside. She was sitting on her throne, cables attached to the sides of her head.

As soon as they entered, the woman leaned forward, causing the cables to drop.

The woman had long orange hair. She looked quite similar to Meredith, except for the fact that she was more mature and gave the vibe of absolute power.

Once they reached a certain distance, Devonio and Meredith fell on one knee. "We’ve brought them to you, Your Majesty."

The woman rose from her seat as her red dress gracefully flowed down to the floor.

"Good work, Devonio." The woman looked at Nathan and the others. "Thank you for coming here, visitors from another planet. I am the emperor of this planet, Meldisvia Zeres II."

"Thank you for inviting us here." Nathan smiled. "I am Nathan Reckmoon. These are my wives: Selena Ashton, Seraphina Dialanta, Flora Vietta Azilia, and Luna Eleren."

"I’ve heard the details, but allow me to confirm your intention one more time. What do you want to do in this place?" Meldisvia looked at Nathan. Her eyes were saying that she was ready to have a war if Nathan wanted to.

Nathan smiled. "My intention remains the same. The reason I came here is that I’m following the trails that the aliens have left behind. I’m intending to defeat them before they destroy this reality.

"However, even my power is not enough to destroy them. So, stopping by like this is also a part of the journey. Who knows? Maybe I am able to find something that can help me to defeat the aliens."

Nathan acted nonchalantly, but the threat of the aliens was extremely scary.

The emperor looked at Nathan for a moment before saying, "I don’t think I’ve seen any lies in your words."

"Well, that’s good. There is also something I’d like to ask."

"!!!" Meredith was startled. All this time, the emperor was their highest authority. No one dared to interrupt the emperor or ask her a question because the emperor had access to the Central Processing Unit.

He was the ’singularity’ of their planet.

However, Nathan couldn’t care less about the emperor’s identity. He had given the emperor enough respect, so he had no hesitation in asking her. "Does this world also have portals made by aliens?"

The emperor fell silent for a few seconds before answering, "We do."

"It doesn’t seem like you are able to close them..." Nathan narrowed his eyes.

"Indeed. Our world used to have portals, but while it was true we couldn’t close them, we altered the space slightly. Instead of this planet, we put all the portals in the Frozen Prison.

"We also set up a monitoring system to know about any invaders. Since the Frozen Prison was created to seal a certain being, we utilized its environment to freeze all the aliens coming through the portals. This way, we can minimize the damage to this empire."

Nathan nodded in understanding. It was quite clever. By doing this, they could grow their empire as much as possible without having to worry about the threat.

Nathan thought for a moment before asking, "Have you ever thought about crossing the portals? Looking at how you conquered this star system and a few nearby star systems, I’m pretty sure that the colony has the strength to pass through the portals."

The emperor shook her head. "It’s true that we’re able to do it, but rather than risking everything by going through the portals, it’s better to steadily develop ourselves first here. This way, by the time we’re strong enough, we can conquer anything in our path."

Nathan understood their logic. Since it was ruled by the AI, it might choose the safest option.

That was why Nathan asked an additional question. "In that case, do you consider the possibility that the aliens are growing stronger to the point where they can threaten the reality we’re currently living in?"
