Chapter 1903: New World

The two teams entered different portals. For Selena, she went to the portal in the far north of the former planet. The frozen planet had been destroyed because of the battle, but the portals remained intact.

Nathan took the portal not far from her to the left. The portals might not be separated too far, but the moment they entered the portal, they were separated tens of thousands of light-years away.

"This is the new place. This is the first time I’ve gone through the portals." Machina looked around.

"You have never gone inside the portal? Surely, the empire has sent their people inside the portals before, right?"

"Yes, but this place is extremely dangerous. From the database, right underneath us, magma is flowing." Machina pointed down. "This planet has a very high activity. If not for the fact that this planet is quite far from its sun, its ground would have been much softer and wobbly because of the core."

"Anything else I need to know?" Nathan asked.

"Not at the moment. There should be nothing on this planet that will interest you. I suggest that we deploy the original plan and establish communication first to check if the communication is working.

"Besides, the other group has gone to a quite interesting planet. On that planet, the aliens are actually fighting the plants."

"Plants vs Zom—I mean, plants vs aliens?" Nathan raised his eyebrows. "How does that work?"

"The plants over there are massive and active. They are actively restraining the aliens. Of course, stronger aliens can ignore them, but most aliens are filtered over there. It has been a quite convenient portal for the empire."

"I see. Well, Vivian is over there, so she will be quite interested in those plants." Nathan shrugged. "For now, Luna, you may go around and secure some materials you are interested in.

"Flora will go with Iris to check the nearby planets. Bring Machina with you, since she’s going to establish the communications. Noelle with me."

They nodded and immediately split up. Noelle couldn’t help but ask, "What am I going to do here? Are there any places you want to visit?"

"This place is a bit unique. It has a high activity, and the reason it’s chosen by Yog-Sothoth should be because of the energy this planet produces.

"My job is to make teleportation circles to each portal so that Machina can check it later."

"Yeah, but why me? Shouldn’t I go with Flora instead? Or do you think you will be attacked here?"

"Who knows? As I said, this planet has high activity, so it means that the energy might be similar to that mist world. It might strengthen the portal, so stronger aliens might be here."

"That’s fair. I guess you don’t want to use your power."

"That too. As the master of space and time, Yog-Sothoth might have already found a way to me. There’s a chance that if I use too much of my power, it will be able to figure out my power. That’s what I’ve been feeling after getting my divinity. That’s why I’ve been trying to restrain myself from the fight most of the time." Nathan smiled.

"Ah!" Noelle still remembered that Nathan also asked his familiars to handle the alien to help Thuka and the other two guardians.

In the previous world, Nathan wouldn’t have used his power if the alien wasn’t that powerful.

"I see. So, that’s what you’ve been doing all this time." Noelle nodded in understanding. "You can leave all the fighting to me. By the way, what have you been doing with the corpse? I haven’t seen you using it yet."

"Not yet. I have asked Machina to produce the solution. She can do it, but she has been making things according to my request, so I need them first before I ask her to start producing the solution."

"Machina’s existence is very convenient."

"Yep. That’s why people want AI." Nathan shrugged. "Well, just think of it as your all-rounder assistant who can basically do anything for you."

"I can’t imagine how it will change our world in the future."

"To see what will happen, we need to survive first." Nathan chuckled. "Anyway, let’s begin."

Nathan took out his phone and started projecting the planet. There were a few marks on it as Machina had previously visited this planet by sending the small robot for observation. Unfortunately, she couldn’t exactly launch the robot into outer space and establish the satellites, so she could only send it around to check the energy level.

Now that Machina had established the satellite system, Nathan could finally see the energy signatures of the portals.

"It marks all the high-energy signatures, but the movement will have to wait a bit longer. But at least we can start checking all these places because it’s highly suspected that the portals are there."

"I really love Machina." Noelle smiled. "At this point, why don’t we just adopt her rather than making her our servant?"

"We will talk about that later." Nathan waved his hand. "For now, let’s just get to work."

"Sure." Noelle nodded.

As Nathan said, Vivian was astonished when she saw all the giant trees.

"This is..." Selena sucked in a cold breath. "Wait. The breath..."

"Yeah." Vivian nodded with a serious expression. "The air is filled with pollen. If you are a normal human, you will die immediately... in a gruesome way. The pollen will use your body as a nutrient and sprout inside your body. However, thanks to your divine body, it’s too potent for these plants to even sprout. What a dangerous place."

"As expected of another world. A lot of them are truly inhabitable."

"Like most of them." Vivian shook her head helplessly. "Well, what should we do?"

"Alavenya will escort Little Machina to outer space so she can proceed with the protocols. Bella and Evelyn will proceed with the portals." Selena turned to Vivian. "Do you want to study these plants?"

"Sure. It looks quite interesting. Maybe we can use some materials."

"All right. In that case, we both will secure some samples."
