Chapter 1943: Iris Playing With Weapons
Chapter 1943: Iris Playing With Weapons
A massive black creature emerged from the sea. It was standing on both feet, but the form didn’t seem to be human. Its torso was slightly leaning forward, making it look like an ape.
However, its overall form looked like a starfish instead. At the same time, it couldn’t be called a starfish because it had a pair of hands like that of a human. It didn’t seem to have a head, but it certainly had a big mouth at the top.
The alien had no choice but to jump off the sea because the sea seemed to be moving against it.
Multiple spots rose from the water, turning into things similar to tentacles. These tentacle-like whips extended toward the alien, trying to grasp its wrists and neck.
The alien let out a loud cry. The burst of its energy destroyed all the tentacles and sent the water away.
Then, the alien punched Catalith, but the latter took out a small green gem and used her power. "Transmute."
Suddenly, the fist stopped as though it had just an invisible wall. It turned out that the wind was also working against it.
The wind then flowed forward and hit the alien body. Many cuts appeared on the alien’s body right away.
Nathan was amused. This was the first time he had seen someone fighting like this. It was true that she needed items to use her transmutation, but her transmutation changed nature.
She used that blue gem to make the sea alive and bend to her will. Then, she utilized the green gem to also bring the wind to life and hardened it in front of her to block that punch before injuring the alien.
It was no wonder Catalith was known as the goddess. It didn’t look like she had made any effort, but the alien was already in trouble.
Nathan could probably force her to use her full power, but he couldn’t imagine how strong Catalith truly was. All he knew was that he wasn’t ready to fight her yet.
At the same time, this confirmed the power that Tiamat and the other true gods would possess in the future.
Catalith took out a few more gems, but she suddenly stopped before glancing to the side.
Many more aliens were coming in this direction, trying to distract Catalith in order to save the big alien.
"Hmm..." Catalith narrowed her eyes. "There are some intruders."
Catalith took out a different gem, but before she could do it, Iris couldn’t help but ask, "Do you mind if I take care of this one?"
"You?" Catalith glanced at Iris.
"It should be fine." Nathan smiled.
"Well, I don’t really care. I just want to capture this guy, if possible, alive." Catalith wanted the alien alive. After all, Nathan claimed that the solution would allow the alien to survive after getting separated from the black cell.
If that were the case, an alien of this level should have enough intelligence to tell them a lot of things.
Nathan nodded. "If you need any help with capturing it, tell me about it. Meanwhile, Iris, do whatever you want."
"Yay!" Iris cheered and raised her hand. "In that case, let’s do this, Machina!"
"Understood." Machina nodded with a serious expression.
Iris smirked as both she and Machina unloaded a bunch of weapons. These weapons looked like launchers, but they didn’t have handles or anything.
When Nathan took another look, he realized that they were similar to the defense system that the empire possessed. Those guns could unleash a powerful plasma, so Nathan couldn’t help but ask, "Did you ransack the empire’s storage or something?"
"No way. I’m a civilized person. I’ve been spending a lot of time in your domain with Machina for this kind of project." Iris grinned. She definitely had spent a lot of time in his domain. In fact, she would go there whenever she had time, not to get stronger, but simply to create weapons.
"Machina!" Iris turned to Machina.
Machina closed her eyes and muttered, "Processing. Targeting all aliens. Lock on targets!"
Iris then clapped her hands, expanding her energy. "Ammunition loaded! Fire!"
"Fire!" Machina executed the commands.
In that instant, over a hundred guns immediately charged their beams and shot their respective targets. At the same time, there were a few missiles coming from their sides. All of them were homing missiles that had been locked onto individual targets too.
"!!!" Catalith couldn’t help but widen her eyes. Nathan alone was already surprising, but Iris’s power was even more amazing.
Hundreds of aliens were hit by the weapons as explosions occurred all around the world.
Catalith could wipe out a thousand aliens easily, but they needed to be in front of her. However, Iris and Machina could actually target so many aliens individually. That was something that even a goddess like her couldn’t do.
More importantly, those two hadn’t finished yet. "Recalculating. 89 targets have survived, Young Miss."
"Understood. Reload!" Iris snapped her fingers, using her creation power to create the ammunition again.
"Reloading completed. Locked on targets."
"Fire!" Iris gave the command.
"Firing." Machina sent out another volley and executed the remaining targets.
In just under a minute, so many aliens in this world died. The biggest problem was that these aliens scattered across the planet.
"Hehehe!" Iris made a peace sign with a big smile on her face as though she had won a hundred battles.
Nathan shook his head helplessly before looking down. "Well, your job hasn’t finished yet. It looks like there is a portal not far in that direction. A quite big one."
"Huh?" Iris followed the direction. To her surprise, everything went according to Nathan’s words.
An alien with a similar appearance to the one that Catalith was currently fighting emerged out of nowhere. There was only one explanation. There was a portal hidden in that location.
"Ah, this..." Iris covered her mouth.
"Another one?" Catalith frowned.
"No. It doesn’t have divinity. It probably has a rule, maybe two. However, it doesn’t have a divine body." Nathan shook his head.
"That won’t be a problem then. Machina, do you think it’s possible to unleash that secret weapon?" Iris smirked.
"Understood." Machina had released satellites before, but they weren’t just for scanning. "Targeting! Deploying Particle Uplink Cannon."
