Chapter 1942: Using Transmutation to Fight

Chapter 1942: Using Transmutation to Fight

Catalith looked around. "Your power is so convenient. It can bring us to a lot of places quickly."

"Is that so? Can’t you do the same thing with your power? I mean, you could go to the god realm by using that gate."

"Not at all." Catalith shook her head. "What I did was merely use a space element material to transmute the gate. It’s a controlled method, but it’s not exactly convenient. There are things such as costs to consider."

"This battlefield is the same?" Nathan asked. "Like, are you guys using the portals?"

"No. We are transmuting a big ark for transportation. It just looks like a big boat that will fly in outer space, creating enough space, air, and other things required to travel in space. The speed isn’t that fast, so it’s more convenient for the gods to travel personally.

"But that’s more than enough for other people. They’re here to fight the aliens, so the ark will drop them to their destination and pick up other people who intend to go back."

Nathan looked up. "Just like a bus stop. If it were me, it would be more convenient to set up a teleportation circle that everyone could activate. The only thing it requires is ena. Well, portals sound better, but I’m still not as adept as Yog-Sothoth, so I can’t connect the portal with the planet’s energy yet, making them self-sufficient."

"You can do all that?" Even though Nathan said he couldn’t do it, the fact that he could already do that step was enough to show his mastery.

Nathan nodded. "Yeah. It’s not a problem for me."

"Do you perhaps take a commission in creating those teleportation circles?"

"Won’t that cause problems not only for your people but also for other planets?"

"Not really. They will probably thank me. In fact, there’s a chance you can use this to make a connection with people from other planets. Considering you want to search for Lord Frost or something, having this kind of connection might allow you to find him more easily."

Nathan looked down, contemplating. That was indeed a benefit, but he was trying to be careful, not because he didn’t want to turn someone into an enemy, but because Lord Frost mentioned the fact that the gods were jealous of him and tried to kill him.

So, Nathan didn’t dare to do it openly, since they might think he was Lord Frost’s ally and try to hunt him down.

"Okay. I’ll consider it for now." Nathan waved his hand.

Even though it was just a teleportation circle, if Nathan could build it for her planet, Catalith could think of a way to raise his reputation. Besides, people would have no choice but to recognize her effort in making the battlefield more accessible.

After all, this battlefield was an artificial one. There was originally no battlefield. Instead, they gathered all the habitable planets and turned them into a battlefield. This way, their people could enter these planets and fight inside.

Of course, their own planet was also still under attack, but they didn’t plan to change it because those aliens would end up becoming the initial training for those who wished to succeed.

Catalith pointed to a certain planet not far from them. "I can see the planet from here. It’s that small green planet. That’s where the alien is."

Nathan snapped his fingers again, bringing them right in front of the planet. "Machina."

"Scanning!" Machina immediately summoned a few satellites to scan the entire planet.

"There are quite a lot of signatures on this planet, Master. Most of them seem to be aliens, but I have also detected different kinds of energy," reported Machina.

"Anything big or powerful?"

"I’m sorry, but unless there’s a fight, I won’t be able to find it." Machina shook her head helplessly.

"All right. Thanks."

"In that case, let’s do this in the traditional way." Catalith led the team into this world. She closed her eyes for a few seconds.

The moment she opened her eyes again, her energy released a burst in all directions. This burst of energy was hitting everything around her, traveling as far as possible to scan the entire planet.

Nathan was observing everything. This was the first time he witnessed a true god unleash their power. Catalith wasn’t a false true god like his familiars.

That was why it was quite impressive to see how she utilized her own power.

Of course, Nathan could use the same thing, but the difference between them was the intention behind that burst.

When Catalith released her power, it scanned almost everything. It was a burst of energy produced by a transmutation. Not only was it robust enough to travel around the planet, but it could also sense everything in it.

Catalith turned to the left. "There is something powerful in this direction. Follow me."

They flew for a few seconds before Catalith stopped on top of an ocean.

Now that they had come so close, Nathan and the others could sense the threat coming from underneath the sea.

They looked down while raising their stance.

Catalith asked, "All right. We have arrived. Do you want to fight this thing? We have agreed that this alien will be used for the experiment, right?"

"Yeah, so why don’t you fight it? You’re the one who will conduct the experiment, so I want you to take care of everything from the start, like... the condition of the corpse."

"Fair enough." Catalith waved her hand. "In that case, please stand back."

Nathan gave a signal to the others to move away. Once there was some distance between them, Catalith opened her magic pouch.

She took out a blue gem and concentrated her power into this blue gem.

Nathan carefully looked at her power, curious how they were going to fight with transmutation.

After imbuing her power into the blue gem, Catalith actually threw the blue gem into the sea.

It didn’t change anything at first, but to everyone’s surprise, a massive black creature emerged from the sea. The seawater was rising and sent forth multiple giant hands as though they were alive.

’Catalith is controlling the entire sea by using transmutation? No, she makes the sea alive and controls it?’
