Chapter 1963: First Ancient Battlefield
Chapter 1963: First Ancient Battlefield
In the end, Nathan established another call with them since they had all the reports for the planets they were currently on.
"That’s the situation right now. Fortunately, it looks like we are able to possibly give the chance of the familiars to undergo a full rebirth," explained Nathan.
"In the end, it will be similar to Machina. First, we will create their bodies through transmutation, making sure that their bodies will be suitable and long-lasting. Then, the second step will be to insert the information about them. Basically, their data has to go inside their new bodies.
"Once everything is done, you will need to bind their data to their bodies, maybe through the Soul Contract. This makes the universe give them proof of life or something.
"Then, they will influence their new bodies with divinity or authority to create a complete rebirth.
"That’s the scheme right now. Well, it might change for familiars who haven’t gotten their divinity yet, but those are the steps right now. Have I done it yet? No. At most, I can probably only grant a temporary one, and it’s not guaranteed yet.
"After all, the long-lasting material that can withstand the presence of a true god is not easy to create." Nathan sighed.
Selena nodded in understanding. "That is good actually. If we can do that, we can work separately with our familiars."
"Yeah. That’s what I thought. We’ll just cut the summoning link later to separate us all." Nathan didn’t know whether cutting the summoning link would harm them or not. So, he didn’t dare to attempt yet.
"We understand the current situation on your side." Selena waved her hand. Since Nathan had explained everything that occurred on his side, it was time for Selena to explain the situation on their side.
"First of all, we’ve fought against one of the big organizations in this area. Right now, we don’t know the chain reaction it will create.
"As for the conflict, well, it begins in such a dumb way. I mean, you once told us about people whose brains were in their pants instead of their heads. They would act as if they owned everything, and if we beat them, their elder siblings would come, their uncles or fathers would come... all the way to their ancestors.
"So, it started from this guy who was trying to get Evelyn when she was simply trying to buy food so she could listen to people’s conversations in the market. That guy suddenly came and didn’t let her say no, so she beat him.
"Then, she beat his two brothers and uncle. We got involved and ended up beating the entire family.
"That entire family turned out to be part of a massive organization. They wanted us, so we massacred all of them..."
Selena let out a long sigh. She truly had a headache dealing with this kind of stuff. "At this rate, I’ve got a feeling that someone will want us because we’re breathing."
"..." Nathan shook his head helplessly. "That was unfortunate. Let me guess, they’re called Xiao, Si, Zhao, or something along those lines?"
"No. The first one is called Gxiskhi. I don’t even know if the pronunciation is correct or not."
"Never mind then." Nathan chuckled. "So, you have destroyed everything. I guess it’s better to just leave that area and never stay there anymore to avoid escalating it to multiple gods."
"That’s the problem. It might be because of you that our luck is mixed, both bad and good."
"Well, isn’t that just normal luck?"
"No. What I’m talking about is the bad thing that has happened. However, this organization seems to have gotten some information about a place, specifically a burial ground. They claim that this burial ground contains many god-level figures and divine artifacts."
"!!!" Nathan widened his eyes in shock. He turned solemn right after. "Are you perhaps suspecting that this might be one of the ancient battlefields we’re looking for?"
"Yes. We haven’t gotten any confirmation or a concrete location, but it looks like it’s quite near this place. It’s just... more secretive?" Selena sounded unsure, as this was just her prediction.
Nathan thought for a moment before summoning Garuda.
"Yes?" Garuda was confused as he was suddenly summoned.
Nathan asked, "Do you know a place where a lot of gods fought and fell in battle? A place that was quite secretive or something..."
Garuda answered without missing a beat, as though he didn’t even need to recall that place to know about it. "That is one of the ancient battlefields, specifically the first battlefield.
"We were so clueless back then... about the strength of the aliens. We made a temporary alliance without coordinating perfectly with each other. That was why the cooperation was a mess.
"We just tried to fight the aliens on our own and agreed not to mess with each other’s movements. We fought and fought, only to find the true strength of the aliens.
"In the end, we were utterly defeated, and a lot of us died. To avoid that shame, we tried to hide that place so that no one knew about it."
Selena nodded. "I think that’s the kind of place this organization found. I guess it’s truly the ancient battlefield."
"Shall we find it? Well, if we’re talking about the ancient battlefields, I have Nyx, Alavenya has Chiyou, and Vivian has Gaia. They should have gone to this battlefield, right? They should know how to enter, right?"
Garuda shook his head. "I’m not sure about Chiyou, but I’m sure that Nyx and Gaia only joined in the second fight. So, the second battlefield. I don’t think they know the location and the way to enter that place.
"However, I’m pretty sure that Loki knows his way there." Garuda sighed. "If you want, you can summon other true gods."
"Loki..." Bella muttered. "Is it fine for me to summon him now? He will probably try to confuse me or control me, right?"
Nathan looked down, contemplating. "Rather than completely controlling you, he would play a prank on you. Using the illusion to make you misunderstand or something. So..."
