Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1988: Nathan x Loki

Chapter 1988: Nathan x Loki

"I call upon the dead to fight for me!"

All these people were startled.

"What?"

"How many are they?"

"This pressure..."

"They’re strong."

"Can we even defeat them?"

The enemies became unsure whether they had the advantageous position or this was actually a trap.

If Nathan could summon this army and use so many god level soldiers, they would be wiped out.

However, the Memory of the Dead could only retrace the past. Once he used it, he wouldn’t be able to peek at this memory anymore.

That was why he didn’t use it. Still, this memory would have to follow what truly happened in the past. People would figure out that they were not real.

Unfortunately for them, there was one man who could change that, turning this image into something real.

Someone who could easily throw his plans and had the power to turn the situation around.

"Despite your wariness of me, you know we are pretty compatible." Loki sneaked behind Nathan and wrapped his arms around Nathan. Rather than his male form, he had turned into a beautiful woman as though he was trying to seduce Nathan.

Loki was simply trying to do what he was going to do back then. And it seemed it wasn’t a joke.

What Loki did was apply his illusion to give off the pressure that all these armies had in the past. As the witness of that battle, he knew what they were capable of.

In addition, his illusion made them as if they were following Nathan’s command.

That was why there were about 150 gods from the Army of Heaven that circled around Nathan, ready to fight for him. There were a few hundred gods from other mythologies that surrounded the enemy from the outside.

Nathan didn’t say anything to Loki yet because he really needed his help. He wasn’t going to ask for help if he was just going to abuse Loki, especially when he hadn’t made any trouble.

The enemy looked confused, wondering how they should take care of Nathan.

However, it looked like the true gods realized what was going on almost immediately. Even though Loki’s illusion was close to perfection, Loki hadn’t returned to his peak state yet.

That was why one of them suddenly clapped. The sound was amplified and traveled through the space. The crispy sound caused the people to snap while the illusion was being destroyed.

Nathan intentionally called them the army of undead to trick their consciousness, but as expected of true gods, they were harder to face.

"Don’t be afraid. It’s just an illusion! It still doesn’t change that we have the advantage. All of you, att—" Before he could order the attack, he abruptly stopped because of what he had just seen.

It was true that Nathan and Loki didn’t manage to fool the true gods. However, they had indeed messed with their minds for a moment.

Loki had even told the girls about the fact that Nathan had a plan, without telling them about it.

And those, whose minds were sharper than the rest, figured out the plan right away.

All of a sudden, seven heads appeared around Nathan.

"What? Those heads..."

The enemy recognized them. They were their allies, who were supposed to surround Nathan. Why would their heads appear out of nowhere? It was at this time they realized they had been tricked.

Nathan created confusion because he wanted to attack them, reducing their number. And he successfully did it. Nathan had asked his familiars through the summoning link to kill them.

Of course, Selena, Flora, Evelyn, Vivian, and Luna were actually sharp enough to know what he intended to do and execute that plan.

In other words, just for a brief moment, they unleashed everything on those seven people.

Mae created an illusion that would make the enemy think they hadn’t done anything.

With Loki using his illusion to fool the enemy, Mae could create another illusion to hide what they were doing.

They used the confusion to lower those people’s guards and killed them and returned. That was why there were suddenly seven heads around Nathan.

It was because of such an intricate plan and chaos that Loki was so happy. In the past, he had always been suppressed by the people around him.

However, Nathan utilized his power to its full potential, creating the mischief that would mess with the enemy’s head. He was so happy that he even turned to his female form as if he was trying to seduce him.

The enemy couldn’t believe what happened.

"Hahahahahaha!" Loki laughed hysterically. "Don’t be fooled? Do you think we’re fooling you? You need to be smart first if you want to get fooled. If you are dumb, that means you’re just an idiot for not seeing it!

"What? 30 gods and 5 true gods? Ah, sorry. I mean, 23 gods and 5 true gods? Oh, wait. Maybe we killed more. How about you have a head count first?"

Loki covered his face with his hands before sliding down those hands to slightly distort his face. His eyes were peeking at their faces, and his smile was filled with malice. "We don’t want you to lose so miserably after all."

Sera was a bit speechless. She didn’t understand what happened, but it was clear that Loki was a menace. He was insane.

It was no wonder why Nathan was so wary of him, but in this scenario, he was truly the only one who managed to process everything fast enough that it was as if there were two Nathans in this place.

Of course, the way he spoke to the enemy made it sound like he was trying to make them get so angry that they would have a heart attack.

The enemy’s leader gritted his teeth. He couldn’t contain this shame and shouted, "Kill them!"

Nathan took a deep breath. "I guess this is it. I summon you this time because your strength is needed. You may go on a rampage."

"Apophis."

A massive snake suddenly appeared and sprang toward the true gods.

"Kill them all!"
