Chapter 2304: Poop!
Chapter 2304: Poop!
Morning in Umbrasol was different from before, the sky here was no longer grey and dull like it once was when Nux first visited Umbrasol.
Umbrasol was now different. The sky here was oddly fresh. Golden light spread slowly across the land, touching the rooftops, the trees, the small houses lined neatly along stone roads. A cool breeze moved through the streets, carrying the smell of fresh bread and flowers.
People here woke up without worry, no one rushed to work, no one feared another. Every being that became part of Umbrasol was thoroughly screened, their deepest, darkest desires were examined, and only once they passed, only once it was ensured that these people had no intention of stirring trouble—
Were these people let in.
Other people knew that, this was also the reason why none of them feared anything. In this Umbrasol, even the concept of locks did not exist simply because no being here would steal.
The children here played and laughed in the open without their parents being worried about someone harming them.
This was Umbrasol, a calm, peaceful world like no other.
And in this calm, peaceful world—
A small bell rang.
A shop opened.
It was a simple sweets shop.
Glass jars here were filled with colorful candies, fresh pastries sat neatly arranged on wooden trays. The owner, an old man, a being with a single black horn above his head, green skin, and kind eyes, hummed as he wiped the counter without a worry in the world.
Then—
The door of his candy shop opened and a little girl, no more than ten years old, walked in.
The girl had soft pink-silver hair that fell just above her shoulders, her hairstyle slightly messy as if she had just woken up and didn’t bother fixing it. A few loose strands framed her face, moving gently with the breeze, giving her an effortlessly cute and carefree look.
Her big pink eyes sparkled with innocent mischief, shining brightly as if she was always thinking of something playful. Her cheeks were naturally rosy, and when she smiled, it made her look even more adorable.
She wore a soft and fluffy light pastel pink dress, with small frills lining the sleeves and the hem. The dress had delicate ribbons tied neatly at the front and around her waist, forming a tiny bow that bounced slightly every time she moved. The fabric looked light and comfortable, perfect for running around without a care, her skirt spread out slightly, giving her a doll-like appearance.

She walked straight to the counter, stood on her toes, and looked at the sweets, an action that automatically put a smile on the old man’s face.
The girl’s gaze then locked onto one small, glowing sugar candy and—
"I want that one,"
She spoke in a sweet, excessively adorable voice as she placed her hand on the counter, as if she was putting something on top of it, but didn’t actually put anything.
The shopkeeper blinked for a moment, as if he couldn’t believe how soft and sweet her voice was. He placed his hand at the same place the girl had, picked up whatever she had put on the table like he was playing along with her game and—
"Of course.
Take it."
He spoke with a smile.
The little girl smiled back, reached out, grabbed the candy, and turned around, happily unwrapping it.
As she walked out, the shopkeeper waved at her.
"Come again!"
And the girl—
"Yes~"
She answered cutely as she skipped out adorably.
...
Outside—
She took a bite and the instant she did—
"Mhmmmm~~"
Her eyes lit up.
"So sweet~"
She praised while at the same time praising herself in her mind, but just as she was enjoying herself—
"Selene."
She heard a voice and the little girl froze.
Then, with the candy still in her mouth, she turned around slowly and her eyes fell on a boy standing a few steps away.
He looked around her age.
He had neat, smooth dark crimson hair that was carefully kept in place, not a single strand out of order, as if even the wind knew better than to disturb it. The deep red shade of his hair contrasted beautifully with his pale, flawless skin, giving him a quiet yet striking presence.
His calm red eyes were clear, steady, and completely unreadable, showing next to no emotion, as if nothing in the world could truly shake him.
He wore a simple, well-fitted dark outfit. The fabric rested smoothly against him, giving off a quiet sense of refinement.

The boy looked at the candy in her hand, then he looked at her.
"You stole it."
He spoke and the instant he said those words, the girl placed her hands on her mouth and widened her eyes in disbelief like she couldn’t believe she was being accused like that.
"I did not!"
She countered instantly but—
"You already spent your pocket money, I have been counting."
The boy answered with a calm look on his face and Selene, she scrunched her nose.
"That is creepy. Do something else with all this time you have."
"You stole it."
The boy, unbothered by those words, repeated his own.
"Oh come on!"
Selene raised her voice.
"I did not *steal* it from him, I was just practicing! Practicing! Even if you go in there and tell him I stole from him, he would let me go, I can assure yo—"
"That’s because you used your ability to charm him."
The boy interrupted.
"You first used illusions to fool him into thinking you gave him money, then you charmed him so that even if you get caught, he doesn’t make a scene. That is stealing and using your powers unjustly."
The boy spoke.
"He is a Divine! There is no way my powers would work on him! I am not that strong yet!"
Selene countered and the boy... he only stared at her without saying anything else and Selene...
Her shoulders dropped and she caved in—
"Alright, alright, my powers work on Divines now! Happy!?"
"I will be if you go and pay him."
The boy answered.
"You already know I cannot! I already spent my money on candies! I don’t even eat that much, only five a day. See? Even my teeth are all white!"
Selene cried, her big pink eyes instantly turning moist.
She was a drama queen, that’s for sure.
The boy looked at her and sighed, then—
*Flick*
He flicked a coin at her and—
"Go pay him."
The instant he said those words, Selene’s moist pink eyes cleared up and shined with joy.
"Noctis! You are the best of the best! You are even better than Veyron!"
She jumped in joy but before she could go into the shop to pay, a red strand made of blood grabbed her arm and—
"Pay me back later."
Noctis spoke as he looked at her, his red eyes glowing slightly.
Selene looked at him, their eyes met and Selene grinned—
"Pay back what? I don’t know what you are talking about. Hehe~"
Noctis narrowed his eyes.
"You wish to do this?"
"What? You wanna fight?"
Selene didn’t back down, her pink eyes now glowed even more strongly as she stared at the strand of blood around her wrist.
"You cannot defeat me."
Noctis spoke with a confident calm.
"I cannot, but you think Father will let you beat me after I surrender?"
Selene’s grin widened. Her plan was simple, enter the battle, surrender instantly, and hide behind her Father, that way, she wouldn’t have to pay her brother back.
"Father will take my side, you might even have to pay double once you are caught."
Noctis was still calm.
"How will I get caught? No one saw what happened here!"
Selene grinned, she was very confident but...
"Are you sure about that...?"
Noctis asked a simple question and Selene...
She paused.
Then, she closed her eyes and expanded her senses, and there she saw her—
About a few kilometres away, on a rooftop—
A small figure sat quietly, her knees pulled close to her chest as she balanced effortlessly on the edge. Her soft black hair fell gently around her face, slightly uneven, with a few loose strands brushing against her cheeks. Two fluffy ears rested atop her head, twitching lightly with every shift in the wind, reacting to even the smallest sounds around her.
A thin, sleek tail moved slowly behind her, swaying in a calm, controlled rhythm. Her golden eyes were sharp and focused, glowing faintly under the sunlight, yet holding a depth far beyond her small, delicate appearance.
Her face was soft and innocent, almost doll-like, but her gaze was anything but childish.
She was Kira Leander.

Their elder sister.
And the moment Selene sensed her—
"Poop!"
She cursed.
Then, she glanced at Noctis, whose expressionless face was now replaced with a small, victorious grin and—
"You knew she was watching!"
Selene pointed her little finger at him in anger.
An action against which Noctis just smiled and—
"What? Wanna fight?"
He repeated the same words she said before and Selene only got even angrier.
"Poop!"
She cursed again.
