Chapter 1123: Never
Chapter 1123: Never
“No…” Inessa said, and her hand involuntarily reached out to Adrian, but stopped at the last moment.
She looked back at her son and, seeing his determination, did not know what to do.
On the one hand, she wanted to establish a relationship with her son and wanted him to recognize her as a mother. On the other hand, this was the man she loved and had spent half her life with.
This situation was tearing her apart.
Idan noticed a faint satisfied grin appear on Ryan’s face.
Eleanor looked from her son to her grandson. She took a deep breath and stepped forward, but at the last moment the words stuck in her throat, never coming out.
A little to the side, Amanda was crying softly, her head down. Next to her, Estelle hugged her little babies closer through her tears.
Ina, overcome with confusion, met Idan’s gaze. Frightened, she averted her eyes and hid behind the safe embrace of Irene.
“It looks like our relationship soured again before it got better,” Idan thought sadly, shaking his head.
Irene, who was comforting Ina, looked up and nodded at Idan, supporting his decision.
At least someone besides Arabel supported his decision.
Ivette went up to her older sister Inessa and silently hugged her, giving her support.
“Let’s go,” Idan Arabel suggested. Although he had something to say to the others, he decided to put it off for later, seeing that everyone was emotional right now.
“Okay, let’s go,” Arabel agreed, standing next to him.
Before leaving, Idan turned around and took one last look at Adrian.
“Take him to the medical center, but do not forget that it is forbidden to treat him,” he said.
Then he looked up at the sky.
“Sierra, please see to it.”
After that, he and Arabel disappeared, leaving everyone with Adrian, and appeared in the bedroom on the second floor of their house.
When they were alone, Idan turned to Arabel and, taking her hands, asked: “Did I do the right thing?”
Arabel heard the uncertainty and tremor in his voice.
“What is it?” she asked, squeezing his hands gently. “The fact that you forbade him to be treated, or your decision to break off all relations with him?”
“Not only that, but also the beating in front of everyone.”
Idan could act confident and decisive in front of others, but when he was alone with Arabel, he did not hide his doubts.
“You know, you’re asking the wrong person,” Arabel laughed instead of lecturing.
Noticing the bewilderment on her husband’s face, Arabel freed her hands and, as she had done earlier, put her palms on his cheeks.
“If I were you, I would have acted much tougher and more emotionally, so it’s not for me to judge where you did the right thing and where you went overboard.”
“But remember one thing: no matter what you decide or do, I will always be there for you and support you,” she said, kissing Idan gently. “In return, please don’t act like him. Don’t leave me and our baby and don’t deceive me like he did with Inessa, okay?”
“Never,” — Idan assured her, gently touching her forehead with his. “I promise. Don’t even think about that possibility, okay?”
“Uh—huh,” Arabel nodded in agreement.
Although Idan knew that he was expected on the Eastern Continent, he was in no hurry.
He settled comfortably on the bed, hugging his wife, and decided to spend some time with her in silence, away from all worries.

As Idan had said, Adrian was taken to the Kingdom’s medical center and given a private room.
When they appeared, the medical staff was very surprised.
“What happened?”
“How did he get such wounds?” They bombarded them with questions, but neither Inessa, Yvette, nor anyone else dared to tell them what had happened.
Seeing their silence, the staff did not wait and, barely managing to get ready to help, froze in place, their eyes widened in surprise. Then, excusing themselves, they all left the room together.
There was silence in the room.
Everyone paid attention to Inessa’s trembling back, and then to Adrian, writhing in pain.
They finally realized the seriousness of Idan’s words.
No one knew what to do.
Ryan came over and hugged his mother, trying to support her. Although he was pleased with Idan’s action, he understood that his mother, unlike him, was still emotionally attached to this man.
Inessa was accompanied by Ivette, who did not leave her older sister’s side, and next to Ina was Irene.
After a long silence, when the violent emotions subsided slightly, Eleanor couldn’t help but ask:
“And who was that girl? The one with the red hair that my grandson left?”
Ryan’s ears pricked up. Although he already had his guesses, he wanted to know the truth.: who is this girl and what kind of relationship does she have with Idan.
“It was Arabel,” Irene replied, gently stroking Ina’s head. “My brother’s wife.”
“Eh? Wife?” Eleanor exclaimed in surprise and blinked.
At the same time, Ryan felt sadness and intense embarrassment. He never thought that one day a married girl would attract his attention. For him, who had promised himself never to be like his father and other men who flirted without serious intentions, this was unacceptable.
“Yes, they got married recently,” Irene confirmed, glancing at Adrian. “I think my brother’s actions towards Adrian are partly due to the fact that he himself is about to become a father.”
This revelation came as a real shock to Eleanor, and she staggered, almost falling. She found an empty chair and sat down.
“Huh? What? Father?” she said in a trembling voice, staring intently at Irene.
“My brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first child,” Irene confirmed.
Eleanor looked down, feeling mixed emotions.
“Great-grandson… I’m going to be a great-grandmother.” This thought filled her with joy, but at the same time, the realization that she had not been by her grandson’s side and had missed him all her life caused her great distress. Not to mention, she didn’t even attend their wedding.
It was another shock for Ryan. He was not only disappointed that the girl he liked turned out to be his brother’s wife, but also that his brother was ahead of him in this regard and was already preparing to become a father.
It was a real blow to the older brother.
