Chapter 1149: The beginning of the raid.

Chapter 1149: The beginning of the raid.

“Lord of the Dead” and “Soul Queen” — Arabel remembered the nicknames of the leaders of the two teams, with whom Irene decided to team up by creating a raid group on the boss, consisting of 18 participants.

While Arabel was watching the video, Idan, based on the nicknames of the leaders, suggested what powers they might have.

“Fuck, the Necromancer System and the Soul-related System?” The thought made him shudder.

“Stop, stop, stop. Don’t jump to conclusions. Let’s see what kind of abilities they actually have.”

Idan put aside unnecessary thoughts and decided to observe them before drawing any conclusions.

After seeing how Lord of the Dead and Soul Queen decided to team up with Irene’s team, ignoring the other groups that appeared, Idan said:

“They’ve seen our true faces, so thanks to Coco’s efforts, they should understand that we stand behind the Kingdom.”

“You’re right,” Arabel agreed. “If I were there, I would also decide to team up with them, considering that they were previously chosen by the World Will itself. However, I wouldn’t let my guard down.”

When the group was created, Irene shared two tips that her team had obtained.

Lord of the Dead’s team got one clue, and Soul Queen’s team got the remaining two.

“So they’ve collected all five clues,” Arabel concluded.

This was followed by a team briefing and role allocation.

Listening to the instructions, Arabel quickly became confused and blushed.

Idan noticed her confusion.

“Is my smart wife confused?”

“Of course not, I remember everything,” she lied confidently, not wanting her husband to think she was stupid.

“No, I’m not stupid,” she said to herself.

Having finished sorting through the tactics options and settling on one, the team began to move, ready to enter the boss’ location.

“They’re finally starting!”

Arabel squirmed in Idan’s arms, looking forward to the sight ahead.

And yes, the raid began with a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of a huge ancient fantasy city.

The shots followed each other, and on the screen appeared destroyed buildings and the outlines of five identical gates scattered throughout the city. It was an abandoned and abandoned city, with monsters roaming the streets.

There was a huge square in the very heart of the city. And in the center of this square, as if suspended in the air by threads of darkness, hung a two-meter knight.

The raid group appeared at the entrance to the square and, without wasting time, split into three squads. The camera, which was watching what was happening, also split into three separate streams, showing three sides at the same time.

Irene’s team rushed straight to the center of the square, where the threads of darkness began to tear one after another. The boss of the location, the First Guardian, collapsed with a crash, kicking up clouds of dust.

Arabel, watching what was happening, turned to Idan.:

“So, Irene and her team will distract the boss while the others search for the five gates, right?”

“Yes, this is the first stage,” Idan nodded. “The main goal is to remove the five seals to strip the boss of his invulnerability. But first they need to find the locations of all five gates that are scattered throughout the city.”

That’s exactly what the other two teams were doing right now.

“Finding the gate is the easiest part. The difficulty begins with determining which gate leads to which room.”

As Idan said, all five gates were quickly discovered.

Following the five clues, the team began searching for unique landmarks to identify the gate.

The situation was complicated by the fact that as soon as the gates were found, all the nearby monsters began to converge towards them.

“Necromancer?”

Arabel shuddered, watching as Lord of the Dead, having killed all the monsters at the gate, immediately revived them, turning them into his silent servants.

In another part of the city, Soul Queen deftly manipulated ten translucent daggers that were held by thin threads on her fingertips, destroying monsters one by one.

The monsters fell dead, but surprisingly, there were no visible wounds on their bodies.

“How?”

Arabel looked at Idan questioningly, and he answered with a serious expression on his face.:

“She directly destroys their souls.”

“Destroys souls?” — this thought brought Arabel back to the screen.

Soul Queen continued to fight the monsters, and looking at it, a chill ran down her spine.

“Those who are chosen by the World Will cannot be ordinary,” — Idan said with a sigh, and Arabel nodded in agreement with him.

It was obvious that the team was communicating via a group message {Local Network Systems}. Soon, all five gates were identified, and following the clue, the first three entered the first gate.

At the same time, the passive behavior of the First Guardian in the square changed, and he went on the offensive.

Irene and Lucinda stepped forward, engaging in close combat with him, while Arslan, Ned, Milena, and Nayla focused on the Gold-ranked monsters rushing out one after another from the depths of the city.

The boss skillfully wielded his sword and shield, deftly deflecting attacks and striking.

Lucinda and Irene were mostly forced to defend themselves.

None of their spells could harm him, and the wounds they inflicted healed instantly. As long as all five seals were not removed, the boss remained invulnerable.

After a short fight, the boss stopped and stabbed his black sword into the ground. His shadow moved, slid towards the city and disappeared.

Meanwhile, in the first room, where Lord of the Dead, along with two other team members, were searching for the only correct one among more than ten bells, a silhouette appeared, from which an exact copy of the First Guardian emerged.

{A shadow appeared}

After receiving the signal, Irene and Lucinda unleashed their attacks on the boss with full force.

Lucinda launched a series of spear attacks, and Irene launched a hail of telekinetic daggers.

The First Guardian did not stand idly by, allowing them to strike. Raising his shield, he began to defend himself without taking out his black sword from the ground.

Despite his invulnerability, the First Guardian, having received enough damage, staggered and pulled the black sword from the ground.

As soon as the sword was drawn, the replica of the First Guardian, which was chasing Lord of the Dead and the other two members of the raid group in the room, stopped. Then he sank into the shadows and froze.

While the three fulfilled the conditions for removing the seal inside the first gate, the other three guarded them from the endless waves of monsters.

Meanwhile, Soul Queen group was advancing towards the next gate, ready to enter as soon as the first seal was lifted.

Thanks to well-coordinated work, soon Lord of the Dead and his companions discovered the necessary bell and, striking it, removed the first seal.

There are four more left.
